So it looks like the three movies are being rereleased as one movie?

Kinda like a director's cut but I wonder if they can improve the animation or expand the fights. They were awesome in the original but the third battle was quite anticlimate when Araragi defeated the priest.

That was the point. The only reason the first two stood a chance was because Araragi hadn't mastered his powers. He was infinitely more powerful than any of them.

Yeah. Still, I was wishing for more Devilman like action considering the budget and atmosphere of Kizu. This movie is inspiring me to watch the Madoka movies since it's pretty much the same staff animating if I'm correct

Not sure if they have the same staff but they have very different animation styles. Don't expect the animation to be as crazy as Kizu.

I think they have the same director, Shinbo. There was another Kizu director named Oishi but he is now doing the new version all alone.

Kind of hilarious to say, but the current "Monogatari Series Off Season and Monster Season" episodes reminded me that I didn't actually see these movies . It was definitely an interesting ride. Holy smokes Araragi is...animated at various points . I won't say his reactions were unnecessarily over the top since a lot of what he went through warranted that kind of insane reaction. But it was certainly a lot!

The ending certainly had some weight to it also. Oshino wasn't kidding about a lose/lose/lose kind of option. But one that at least had some positives to it. It was the kind of solution that made sense. Unfortunately for Kiss-shot Araragi had the last option to call in support. He was equally cornered until he was able to get Oshino there to give another option. In terms of the lovely vampire, I think her expressiveness was the most interesting quality for her. When she was happy she was happy, but when she was freaking out you could really see it. Especially with the "oh crap" reaction to realizing quickly how Oshino's solution would work out.

Honestly it was a nice set of films. A good way to spend 3 hours . And did let Hanekawa's charms shine quite a bit. Although I kind of like that she made things a bit tricky because she just had to voice exactly what Kiss-shot was after.
