Lightbulb Any anime with Interracial Romance as the main theme?

Any anime with Interracial Romance as the main theme?

Like Carole and Tuesday but the pairing is a Black or Dark-Skin Guy with a White Girl.

For a Black guy he can be African inspired but for just a dark-colored guy he can be Asian/Indian/Japanese inspired. But no Dark Elf dudes, ok? I just want human characters from either fictional-based or IRL-based ethnicities.

I am making this thread because jealous so many Japanese Male Protagonists get to date or have harem with blonde white European-inspired girls in Anime lol, so I want Black Guys to get some love too with Super-Cute Animu Grills inspired from European setting

There aren't a ton of anime that specifically focus on interracial romance with a Black or dark-skinned male protagonist, but there are a few shows where you can find diverse relationships that come close to your preferences. Here are a few suggestions:

Anime:
  • Michiko & Hatchin – While not focused on a romantic relationship, this anime prominently features a strong Afro-Latina female lead, Michiko, and is set in a Brazilian-inspired world with diverse characters. It’s not the exact dynamic you’re asking for, but the setting and representation are unique.
  • Mister Ajikko – This classic anime features a character named Marui who is darker-skinned and gets into romantic entanglements. While romance is not the main theme, it showcases some cultural diversity.
  • Children of the Whales (Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau) – This anime includes a character named Ouni, a darker-skinned guy (Asian-inspired) with a lighter-skinned girl. While the setting is more fantasy-based, the character design might match your preference.
  • The Prince of Tennis (Tennis no Ouji-sama) – In the sequel series New Prince of Tennis, there are characters of mixed heritage. One prominent character is Kevin Smith, who is half-Japanese, half-American, with darker features.
  • Kuroko no Basket (Manga/Anime) – While this is a sports anime, there’s a character named Aomine Daiki, a darker-skinned Japanese athlete who is highly popular among fans. He doesn’t have a major romantic arc, but fanbases often imagine him paired with lighter-skinned characters.

Manga (More focused on romance):
  • Afro Samurai – This one may appeal to you because of its Afrocentric lead, though it leans more toward action and less romance. It does have a Western-European-inspired setting that may match the vibe you’re after.
  • Love is a Battlefield (Doujinshi) – While it’s a fan-made work, it does feature a darker-skinned male character and a white female character, offering a unique take on the dynamic you're looking for.
  • While the exact dynamic you’re asking for is still somewhat rare in anime, these selections explore a few relationships and worlds that involve diverse characters and could match what you're after! Hopefully, more anime will embrace these types of pairings in the future.
