New chapter was so harsh on Thorfinn. His hallucinatons are trying to ruin his morals but I do find it strange that Askeladd wasn't present there. However, Hild's support towards Thorfinn sure is nice to see.

One thing I know for sure is that Thorfinn will at least leave Vinland since Yukimura recently mentioned in an interview he is trying to follow history. However, the real Thorfinn passed away at the age 27 which the fictional kinda looks like (I think he remembered he was 22 when talking to his sister after the slave arc). So, at least let's hope Thorfinn will stay true to his values and run away rather than even think about fighting.

The hallucination really felt like a reflection of how MAPPA ended season 2. However, this time the hallucination characters have no eyes? Wonder if Einar really will do something considering the previous chapters. I was told that Einar kinda lost some focus after leaving the farm and the recent chapters are making him stand out more.

Wow, this was a really sad chapter. All the villages basically said "Screw Thorfinn! We'll fight!". Only Gudrid and probably Bug Eyes seem to care about the guy wherever he is. Still, 100 soldiers vs 300 soldiers sure is scary especially after they stole weapons

It's sad. I mean most deaths in these series have been a symbolic factor in a character. Askeladd's death marked the death of Thorfinn's soldier life and child life too depending on what you consider what was their relationship (even Yukimura was confused about them). In regards to Einar, when season 2 was made Yukimura noted that Einar basically transformed Thorfinn into a human and in the third arc he protected Thorfinn's life from Hild around 3 times with his own body. I'm not sure how would Thorfinn change if Einar passes away. Gudrid gave birth to her child so recent mother are too weak to make something in their current status. Arnheid was a decisive factor to Thorfinn's and Einar's utopia but the former was more moved by Leif's stories about running way which made the heavy contrast he has from Einar despite being around the same age.
