Chloe is the childhood friend. Maybe she's just suppressing her feeling or just doesn't want to change the current relationship between her and him.

But with him dying? then there shouldn't be a reason to hold back right?

Rico has sister complex to begin with as Freon always good in everything, thats what make Freon one of the top authority in Mystogan. The reason why Rico keep call herself a goddess stem from the complex just so wanted to be acknowledged by Freon. Freon long ago know why she act like that but still continue to treat her stricly, she thinks is for Rico own good. What is more shocking is that Freon said so herself Rico's potential is way higher than her because Rico unlock the power of eye(forget the name) at young age. After the volume 4 battle, they both understand each other better and Freon acknowledge her. Yuri, Misora, Lecty, Rico, Blair and Chloe more or less into Kanata >Estzero1

Only Chloe know the power might cause harm as Freon told her. All the other 5 girls most likely know the power is not something good then come together discuss about Kanata power and decided to participate the mainland tournament to know the secret. As the winner gets to know the secret of the world. >@gemc

At volume 5, there is a talk about who is Kanata's first disciple/student between the girls. Of course Yuri would claim it fast but in the end Chloe speak out that she is the first disciple/student. Kanata taught Chloe how to fly when they are small.

I think 1st wife would be secured by her too if she can just fly inside his room and he didn't care at all

they are just far too familiar with each other. Though that might be a strong wall that is hard to breach unless one try to move past from it.

All I could see is the expansion of Katana's harem. I kind of don't want Chloe involves in this tag game cause she looks like an older sister figure.

But Chloe is indeed a strong oponent for all other girls with childhood friend flag. What about Rico and Lecty? How r they look up to Katana?

The two girls in the cover is Lecty and silver haird girl Blair Eisenach, both are once friends and student under Eisenach matial arts. But Blair hates Lecty because Lecty fail to protect Blair's sister in past incident. Result in Lecty kicked out from the town and move to the current floating city, well thats history ago. Current timeline another floating city approach, so two cities have a joint festival and tournament together. Just so Blair is in other city, they met again. Then stuff happen.... Blair want revenge and so on Spoiler for Volume 4: Story revolves around Rico and her sister Freon, my favourite volume. Again, stuff happen between the 2 sister long ago that makes them so cold to each other now. The enemy bugs in this volume is specially OP, can keep on regenerate and revive after killed. Give Kanata, platoon S128 big trouble, Freon almost getting killed. In the end Freon knows Kanata power and stop calling him traitor. Spoiler for Volume 5: At the end of volume 4, they save a girl called Alice the sole survivor of that incident. But biggest secret and spoiler here is that Alice is the one that summons the bug in volume 4. Not only that Alice has the same "cursed power" like Kanata, but hers is of original stronger version and Kanata has kind of fake power that is luckily gotten from a bug fight. Of course no one knows Alice has those powers, one of the purpose she entering Mystogan is to check whether Kanata really has the power and to know why he has it. Volume 5 is much more complicated, too many to write it out. one of them is the "cursed power" has long been there and some top brass of that world has it just like Alice. The floating city Mystogan highest authority Christina, another student that has higher rank than Freon, maybe can use "cursed power" too. So Christina pretty much an old friend of Alice. Kanata team are sent to participate the mainland tournament that the winner of it will get to know "the secret and creation truth of the world" plus able to meet the pope/king. Some fans wondering will Kanata die because of the "cursed power" or not? Spoiler for ??: Not sure how future story goes. But In volume 5, Freon after knowing Kanata has it, she warns Chloe "Kanata doesnt have much time left anymore, You dont let yourself regret for life." __________________
