Huh...I could've sworn my post came after Kismet's but whatever...(EDIT: WTF???)
Anyway, Neko is indeed awesome. And somewhat surprisingly it looks like Yashiro is quite the ladykiller...

TBH this new PV took my excitement down a bit. The atmosphere seems pretty light. The production values didn't seem impressive this time around and the color scheme seems like it will get annoying really fast... At least it still has angela.

I have no idea what this is supposed to be since the trailers are so frakken random... but the visuals and animation are AMAZING from the PVs. No idea if that's what the TV anime is going to be throughout though. Is this definitely the guys who made Mardock Scramble? I loved the first movie btw.

Loved the PV, who would have thought that Yahiro was going to be such a womanizer? Neko won't be happy.
Looks like we're going to have a considerable number of female characters though most of them don't seem to be important... except the ones who appeared on the website. Excited for this fall^^

What I can't figure out is where GoHands gets the budget for this quality of animation. I don't really see anything in their catalog that would have suggested this was coming. Are they blowing their entire $$$ on the previews?

That's what I would like to ask as well. The only GoHands production I saw was Mardock Scramble: The First Compression which looked very nice, but it was more or less a standard high-production value movie. These PVs were as impressive as the visuals in the movie...

Hehe it's all a balancing act, more and more shows are like this, gotta appeal to both sides now a days
But man this is looking absolutely awesome, between this and Magi, hard to say which I'm looking forward to more!

Today's startup studios aren't really "new" (the industry is going through some reconfiguration, but it's just the same people - both business and creative folks - regrouping under different entities), so you can't always gauge pedigree or potential from the shows they've worked on. For instance, Hoods Entertainment is helmed by a veteran producer connected to plenty of talent, but from their initial projects, you'd wonder if they were some kind of porn company. Anime financiers have long histories with studio producers, so they know who's capable of delivering. |
