I Agree, I think they tried too hard to make the final hand WAY TOO dramatic...
The perfect examples of Awesomeness was, kana's Chankan off Saki & kana's technical Yakuman... heck only Kana's Wins were awesome in the Captain's match. & how many Yakuman Tenpais did Kana get??? Is that normally even possible... I reckon she's special in her own way. Well there was Saki's East Baiman that was pretty kool but not as EPIC as Kana's wins.... for like 1 seconds I honestly believed that match would continue for 30 consecutive Tenpais just so they'd stretch the canon episodes lol. |

Well that's when things start getting subjective. Different people appreciate different things. In my totally subjective case I preferred Yumi's chankan off Saki which also represented the only time someone got a direct hit on Saki without her willingly giving the points away like in Kana's chankan. Since Saki's quite the good defensive player and she was still in her initial roll I'd call that to be quite an achievement

^ yeah Yumi chankan was pretty kool too, taking a chance by breaking her Yaku tiles but I felt the build up felt kind of short, & I liked Kana's chankan because it was unexpected and seeing the surprise & shock on Koromo's face was just the icing on the cake.

Now before I just thought "oh wow how cute" but lately its like she suddenly powered leveled up to super duper cute! All thats needed for extra over the top crazy-ness is for the character's to name their own plays and have the names flash up on the screen!

I agree. They should get rid of the innuendo part and make things more direct.
Enjoyed the episode. It's great how we have come to know and appreciate all the players. And although I felt the end was a bit sudden and understated, I still ended up with hints of tears of joy in my eyes when Saki and Nodoka embraced.

Wow, the end of the tournament came much sooner then I expected. Anyway, it was a bit of an expected turnout (special rules and Saki getting the Godhand), but the way we've come to know and like all of the different players in someway made it surprisingly satisfying. Not great, just satisfying seeing Saki, Koromo and just about everybody have the games of their lives and take a new experience away from it. That's what the game is all about in it's essence so I really liked that. All I have to say though is that Koromo must have played with a string of some of the worst sour grapes players throughout her life to end up so lonely just because of her gift. You would think playing with the other Ryuumonbuchi players would have sorted that all out, but then I guess with their tournament play she doesn't really play against them all that often.
