... it's starting to remind me of the Kotarou vs Colonel Sanders (true name: Al) match XD
Except the opponent is not invincible.... and... Vivio: *wakes up* What happened... did I... Nurse: Yes.... you lost... Vivio: T_T *runs outside the infirmary*

Somehow i don't feel Vivio will make much of a fuss about loosing, she have the support of her team and alwas has been pretty humble about her abilities. I'm actually waiting for the moment Einhart or Miura loose. Einhart being such a pridefull fight probably will harbor some negative feelings and for Miura it will be her very first defeat on a public tournament, seeing how sensitive and shy the girl is i bet she'll be down. I expect Zafira, Vita or even Vivio herself to snap her out of it.

Strikers..... defeated with more lolis, training scenes and fighting scenes XD
Vivio was interrupted by pain.... (probably the adult mode.... or an injury from the first Starbright Blade [I was correct... Miura used Starbright Blade for the second time])

Well, yes and no. I myself haven-t understand how exatcly that work yet but is mentioned that damage to the contestants bodies is simulated and they're always protected from any serious injury by the system. It's what prevented Micaiah from slicing Miura in two during their match and was more specifically pointed out during Corona VS. Einhart fight.

Supposedly there should be a limiter on how much pain a contestant would feel, so that no people actually die from the shock, but so far it didn't look that way. Every contestant seem to be feeling the damage they would feel without the system's protection; in fact they also LOOK as injured (clothes torn etc, bleeding)... So the ONLY REALLY useful thing that the system does is to protect the contestant from dying. Huh.

My own interpretation, is that the safety system reads the attack one is making, and then nullifies any actual damage on the target, but replacing it with simulated damage. So it would read Einhart punching Corona, calculate that the damage would break Corona's arm, but nullify enough force to keep it from breaking while simultaneously making Corona think her arm was broken.
However if, say, Vivio had a heart attack mid-fight from eating a ton of bacon in the months previous, she'd still have the heart attack and the safety system wouldn't be able to do anything about it. So thus my theory is that Vivio has been doing something to herself (maybe not aware what she was doing had such consequences), and thus the reason for her collapse. Unless they plan to bring up something else, the only reason I can see this happening to Vivio alone so far, is that she is somehow (maybe not consciously) tapping into her Saint's Armor ability but it has been damaged since she was removed from the cradle. Thus, she's causing herself some internal stress and damage with use. Would explain how she easily blocked Miura's super kick. |

Odd. Only Nanoha is there with Vivio. You'd think after that worrywart Fate would go full on helicopter mom.
So all this drama amounted to Spoiler:
Geeze Rio, I've heard of making your opponent hit the ring, but hitting your opponent with the ring?

I just find it odd that someone was hurt this badly with the supposed safety system in place, that can even prevent an arm being broken. If this truly goes nowhere with no explanation, it will come out looking like an oddity purely designed to elicit an emotional reaction, ie, a bad plot.
Which is worse than no plot. |
