(L) Tokyo Ghoul [Manga]

when I read this new Tokyo Ghoul I feel something wrong..... kinda not as thrilling as before....

Geez, that nastier cliffhanger in chapter 29 Auction arc is nearing its end, for sure though!

Spoiler for ch 29:

Chapter opens with Sasaki getting completely owned by Seidou.

Then it moves focus to Nuts battle. In short, Saiko and Shirazu defeated Nuts, and yes, Saiko got her kagune out this chapter. Shirazu seems to be getting more character development in which he slowly gets that ghoul is not that different than humans in the end.

Cuts back to Seidou vs Sasaki, and it's completely obvious that Sasaki just can't defeat Seidou by any means, thinking that Seidou is too strong and unpredictable that he can't read Seidou's movements. If it's not obvious by now, Seidou's obsession in フルボッコ-ing Sasaki is because he was compared to Sasaki as artificial half-ghoul.

Name drop Kaneki Ken happens from Seidou, and Haise's internal monologue go distorted again while he denies it :

"I am Sasaki Haise Sasaki Haise I am Nice to meet you, I am Third Rank Ghoul Investigator, Sasaki Haise I don't know Kaneki Ken I don't know you--"

Scene cut to Scarecrow who is tinkering with broadcasting machine (most likely that), his dialogue is just indecipherable lol. Anyway, he pushed a button and this broadcast Kaneki vs Seidou's fight.

Next scene Ayato being OP and have similar ukaku kagune as owl, or at least different kagune than what we know. Akira is fighting Miza, and as Hinami suggested Miza and Ayato to retreat, the broadcast happen. Hinami reacts to Sasaki's scream (F I N A L L Y).

Akira seems to realize that the person Haise is fighting is Seidou, and completely lost her cool questioning Matsuri. Seidou continues to overpower Sasaki.

Cut scene to Shirazu team, he realized it was Sassan's scream, and the first rank investigator urged him to go to Sasaki. Saiko looked at a computer (most likely broadcasting Seidou vs Sasaki) with a flustered expression and stutter. We never see the content of the broadcast, but let's just say... The screams accompanying the page is beyond chill-making

It's not gag, I swear Next chapter, please cut off Urie stuffs as much as possible or I'll end with white hair with this cliffhanger ;-;

when Tokyo Ghoul had only 27 chapters, have you considered it an addictive manga? or amazing?

because is it unfair to compare a manga with 143 chapters, with several arcs, twists, fights, etc. with a new start that is still developing.

as I do not know if I'll show up here tomorrow, advice, if you are not enjoying the series, just let the chapters accumulate all you want and then read, perhaps in the order you like over RE (or not). Many people say that part 1 of The Breaker is better than part 2, for me part 1 is mediocre and Part 2 is much better overall, the biggest difference between my opinion and the other was that I read everything once while the other fans (that I read the criticism) read weekly and had to endure waits and delays of the authors, and we know how it undermines the pace of reading.

Really agree with that Breaker reference, sadly I jumped into that one a few weeks ago without really looking at its history, flew through and enjoyed it but was then like great wtf did I just get myself into! Back to TG, with the original 27 chapters deep only had us at the revenge on Akira's father, so while interesting it was barley even the foundation of what made the manga great. Also in the spoilers, it says Saiko used her Kagune in this chapter but all I saw was the panel with her left eye giving some twitch, did it happen off panel or am I missing something?

Offscreen, considering in the aftermath Saiko looks exhausted after her kakugan activated. It should be easy to infer she used her kagune with the situation. (I totally forgot to say this part was inferred, shortening texts sure leave weird holes lol )

Yeah baby Kaneki is in da HOUSE. Takizawa picked the WRONG guy to mess with, slaughterhouse shall begin. In the next chapter lets pray to god that they will FOCUS on Shironeki, oh and Hinami instantly recognized her Onii-chan's voice <3 so lovely. Everyone seems to be improved so maybe we will see Kaneki's complete Kakuja someday.

More Saiko teasing. She took down Nuts off-screen and that one guy commented he doesn't know who the real monster is after seeing this.

Saiko and Shirazu getting a promotion is set in stone. Here's hoping Mutsuki will somehow manage to get one as well so that Urie remains the only rank 3 among the Qs.

They did a gag panel showing her kagune in an earlier chapter. If that's accurate, her kagune resemble Kaneki's a bit. Notice the massive chunks taken out of the ground after the fight. That was probably Saiko's doing.

Make you wonder if the way she calls Haise have a deeper meaning than we thought.

I doubt that they put Haise kagune in her.....I don't think they would risk doing something like this.

But with Ishida avoiding to show us her Kagune is suspicion.
