Nanoha walked alone.

Following an endless road surrounded by tall grass, the young woman walked slowly, a solemn countenance she wore. Her eyes, narrowed and unfocusing, stared off into the endless horizon, counting down the hours and days until she became a part of the sky she used to love so much. A sky that now had no use for her, discarding her like so much garbage... or maybe it was her that discarded the sky. These days, it was so hard to tell one from the other.

A rustle to her side forced her attention to focus into the grass. Her heart seized with fear as she heard scurrying, followed by a hiss. Instinctively, her right hand grasped for a staff that wasn't there, and she tried to focus mana that seemed to have gone into the wild blue, never to return. Her Device rested uselessly against her neck as Nanoha's eyes widened, staring at the rustle of grass; staring at the slimy green tentacles that whipped out, catching her arms and legs, trying to drag her into the grass!

Nanoha screamed as she was brought to the ground, clawing desperately at the concrete to save her life. Her fingernails bled from the exertion as the tentacles' superior strength dragged her into the grass, pulling her at a lightning-fast speed that blinded her senses. Only her voice carried, an endless scream into the uncaring sky as the tentacles pulled her faster, faster, faster... then to a dead stop, in the middle of an open field.

Behind her, a voice... a voice crying for help... or maybe it was an offer of help. Nanoha stopped struggling as the tentacles lifted her up, up into the air, turning her around forcefully. Nanoha forced her eyes to shut, but she couldn't help the black urge to open them; and so, when she opened her eyes, she stared with a rapidly beating heart and deep fear at the creature that had brought her here.

Nanoha stared at the infected form of Vivio, crucified to a wooden cross, screaming in a mix of pain and pleasure.

"Mama!" The girl shouted. "Help me! Please! I'll be a good girl, I promise! Help me!"
"I..." Nanoha stared, forms forming but not escaping. "Vivio, I..."
"Mama! Help!" Vivio cried, tears of blood streaming down her face. Beneath her, the ground rumbled. "Mama! It's coming back! Get it before it kills us!"

And it rose from the ground, a great gaping red maw on a vine, with rows upon rows of teeth and a single glaring eye on top of a stalk. The creature lifted up, higher, above Nanoha, staring at her with its red eye, hissing. Nanoha stared back, unable to move and too afraid to do anything else as she stared at... at it.

"Become one with us." It said in its harsh voice. "Or become my food!"

Nanoha screamed in mortal terror as the monster's mouth came for her, its maw open wide, its teeth touching her skin and closing around her waist. A horrible pain, one that did not go away, one that persisted.

Nanoha screamed. And screamed. And screamed.

And screamed when she woke up.

Sitting up in bed, shaking, Nanoha looked around wildly, seeing that she was in her room, alone. Quickly, she got up and ran for her bathroom, barely making it to the toilet as she vomited, throwing up whatever she had eaten just hours ago. Groaning in disgust, Nanoha stood up and looked at herself in the bathroom mirror. A dull pain winced at her from all sides... kind of like a bruise, or line of bruises.

Nanoha froze.

Slowly, Nanoha grabbed the bottom of her nightshirt and lifted it up part way, her eyes widening in fear... then terror.

Neatly arranged in a ring, were dark red blemishes on her skin, around her waist in a neat row, in the same pattern that the monster's teeth were in her nightmare. Nanoha shook, clutching the sides of the sink in shock and disbelief.

"I will always be here, with you," The voice said to her. "I will accept you... or I will consume you."

Nanoha's eyes dilated in terror.

Cool Mint and Spear Mint (Or Spearmint) will be harder because Cool Mint, is essentially just a play on the flavor name while Spear Mint is actually based off the true plant. Both have their play in Chewing gums. Cool Mint Gum and Spearmint flavor gum... Feh. Angels named after chewing gum flavors. Anime naming trope in effect. What else is new?

Okay, couple of different ideas.

Cool and Spear Mint as angels are a combination of friend, protection, and booster... so I can go different ways with this:

1 - Two barrier Jacket modes. Details to be made if I go into it.
2 - Twin Familliars al la Admiral Graham.
3 - NOT twin familiars, but two different familiars. (Say, keeping with the animal theme, one is a wolf, one is a bird.)

Going into more diversified territory.

4 - Wingmates of her 'squadron.' (At this point her squadron is Thanatos, she is Thanatos 1. Thanatos meaning 'messenger of death'.)

5 - Two other Intelligent Devices. (Imagine a mage with three devices...)

What would everyone want to go with? Pick a number.

Now I just need to name her device after something 'Raven' With out directly using Raven if possible. (The device is most certainly an AXE.)

Incidentally, for deserts: always drink a shitload of water, and overhydrate by drinking till you're full, then drink some more. This was what SEAL Team SIX learned their first time on desert trekking. Also, do NOT drink whiskey right after coming out of the desert. Unless you're Erick, a single shot will KO you.

I'm trying to capture the smell of ash, sun-burnt concrete, sweat and gunpowder, as well as many other components of a desert fire zone to better immerse the reader. Maybe I'm trying too hard to keep with the standard here...

I never considered porting the AMG goddesses over. I feel the mage limits in Nanoha wouldn't do their abilities justices.

Try soulmate, that's what angels are. The closest thing in Nanoha would be Unison Devices. But having two of them would call down the Haxxbusters so fast it wouldn't be funny.

That suddenly made me imagine a Unison Device with MPD. With different abilities available depending which personality is currently dominant. Anyone who wants to run with it can do so, with my blessing.

Acceptable, if rather bland. Keeping the "twin" motif while making them unique could be quite a challenge.

2 - Twin Familliars al la Admiral Graham.
3 - NOT twin familiars, but two different familiars.

No go. Let me ask you something, how powerful do you intend her to be, S, SS, SSS? Supporting a familiar takes a lot of a mage's Linker Core output. Look at Fate fight in StrikerS, do note that she's doing that while supporting Arf at the same time. Supporting two familiars means even less magical energy for the mage to use herself. That's not acceptable if you're creating a frontline combatant.

5 - Two other Intelligent Devices. (Imagine a mage with three devices...)

No need to imagine, that's Hayate. Schwekruetz, Book of the Night Sky, Rein 2, and that's not counting Rein 2's Book of the Blue Sky. But she's SS.
This looks promising, if you can deal with the "twin yet unique" challenge again.

4 - Wingmates of her 'squadron.'

Not integral enough to her. Even more bland than the Barrier Jacket idea. Not worth pursuing if you want to be faithful to Lind's concept.

GenerationS Chapter 1.3 is also experiencing a holdup as well since I inserted another combat scene, not to mention giving Hayate some proper props in her battle plans since I almost let my foot slip into the 'Canon carries the idiot ball' mistake...

And I guess there's still a lot of reworking to do after all. >_< I guess it might end up with a 15k or higher word count. And that's just two or three unequal-length scenarios...

I'll be adding two more sections as well for moar Tesla and a summary of Tiara's functions... I also have to rework a couple of scenes... And also tone down on the HAXX... And I have to make absolutely clear Hayate's overwhelming output compared to Aurion...

"Cinque-nee...is she..." Dieci paused.
Cinque nodded, "Yes...She's one of us."

After gathering all of the 'sisters', Cinque proceeded to introduce Treize.
Cinque and Sein stood behind Treize, who stood in front of the remaining Numbers.
"Let me introduce you to our youngest sister, who only Sein and me knew about..." She placed her hands on Treize's shoulders.
"Go ahead..." She said with a gentle voice.
Treize looked at them all, and introduced herself "...Treize." bowing afterwards.

The remaining Numbers introduced themselves...
"Dieci"
"Otto"
"Deed"
"...Nove" She blushed.
"Wendi~su" She made a 'V' sign.
Treize looked at each one of them and said, "So many Onee-san..."
Cinque giggled, "That's right..." She then turned to Sein, "Sein, could you help her talk with the others?"

"I have to go talk with someone." She replied.
"O-okay..." Sein found it odd, but she didn't mind, "Treize, let's go talk to Dieci first." She extended her hand to Treize.

Cinque saw them go, and turned to Koji, walking to him.

While Treize was getting to know her sisters, Yui was talking to Wendi, who seemed interested in the topic...whatever it was...
Subaru tried to start a conversation with Nove, but it wasn't going very well.
And Teana was trying to keep Subaru away from trouble.

"Good." Cinque smiled.

"I heard Ginga-san is participating in a rehabilitation program here, how's it going?" He asked.
"Yes, everyone is learning how society works at a good pace...but..." She looked discouraged.
"What's wrong?" He looked at Cinque.
"Will we be really accepted by society?" She said, looking at her sisters getting along with everyone.
"..." Koji stayed silent, listening to Cinque's words.
"I've realized for a long time now...that even when we're released from this place, we won't truly be free and only go to where we are allowed to."
"Cinque-san..." He worried.
"I'm here because I'm worried about them. I'm worried that without me, they'd be lost and alone in the world."
"They lived most of their lives in that laboratory, and have only seen the battlefield...the world is much bigger than they think." She looked at her sisters again and worried.

Sensing her worry, Koji gently put his hand on top of Cinque's head.
"Ah..." Cinque let out, a hint of red could be seen on her cheeks.
"Don't worry too much." Koji said, "I'm sure everything will be alright...just look forward to a new life with your sisters." He smiled.
"A-ano...you're patting me on the head..." She said.
"Un, this can usually cheer anyone up." He smirked.
But then he notice her glare, that felt pretty much like a warning...
"Please don't treat me like a child..." She said. It wasn't a threat, just a friendly advice.
"A-ah, is it bad?" He sweatdropped, removing his hand from her head.
"Just don't do it..." Cinque's expression returned to normal.
"Sorry, it's a habit of mine." He apologized.

He nodded again, "Over there, with Wendi-san."

Cinque looked at Yui talking with Wendi, the two smiled and laughed.
"Cheerful and energetic isn't her?" She looked at Koji.
"Yeah..."
"She must be one of those persons you want to protect, right?" She looked at him.
"At all costs." He said seriously.
Cinque smiled, looking at them again, "Then what you said is true...we are alike."
"Aa..." He nodded in agreement.

"Now that I think if it...there is another reason I chose to be here."
"And what is it?" Koji asked.
Cinque looked at him and replied, "I have faith." She smiled. "Faith that someday our situation will change...and that's because, there are people like you and your friends around."
"Ehehehe..." Koji tittered embarrassed.

During Koji and Cinque's conversation, Nove and Maren were keeping an eye on them.
(I don't like the way they're getting along...Cinque-nee, don't be fooled by him!) Nove gritted her teeth.
(Koji-sama~ It's good that you're a kind person, but please try not to be too kind!) She worried.

Then they saw Koji pet Cinque on the head.
"Wha?" Nove let out as she saw it, "K-kisama..." but she restrained herself.
"Koji-sama~~" Maren looked at them with envy.

The two then noticed eachother...
"What's with you?" Nove looked at her.
"I'm worried about Koji-sama." Maren replied.
"Worried about him? What for? I'm more worried about Cinque-nee...he might take Cinque-nee away from me." She made a fist.
Maren sweatdropped, and went back to worrying (K-Koji-sama~ this girl doesn't even care about gender!)
Nove then remembered what Maren said before, "'sama'?" Nove raised an eyebrow. "What is he, some noble or something?"
"Ah, no, Koji-sama is my master." She smiled.
Nove stayed silent, then looked towards Cinque, (C-Cinque-nee! Stay away! He's into 'that' sort of thing!!) She said to herself.

Then, Wendi and Yui saw them in that position...
"are? Isn't that Nove and your friend ~su?" Wendi said when she noticed them.
Yui looked as well, "That's true..."
They walked up behind them, "Ne, Maren-chan, what are you doing?"
"Y-Yui?" Maren looked at her.
"And Nove too, what are you doing over there?" Wendi asked.
"Wendi, shhh!" She told her.

Yui looked ahead and saw what they were looking at.
"Onii-chan? ...te...Who's that?" She stared at Cinque, as she spoke with Koji.
"That's Cinque-nee ~su" Wendi told her.
"Hmm...so she's the one Onii-chan fought and defeated back then." Yui remembered.
"Tch...'defeated'...Cinque-nee wasn't at her best at that time, she would have blown him to pieces in an instant." Nove boasted.
"Puu~" Yui pouted, "Onii-chan is strong! His skill with a sword is second only to Signum-nee!"
"Peh...Cinque-nee is known as one of the most powerful amoung us." Nove continued.
The two stared at each other, like they were ready to fight, when...
"Hmph!" They turned their back to each other...
"yare yare ~su" Wendi sighed.
"For a moment I thought they'd start fighting." Maren said.

Sein walked up to them with Treize, "Hey, what are you guys doing?"
"Spying ~su" Wendi replied.
Sein tilted to the side and saw Cinque and Koji, "Oh...they look pretty close."
"Pretty interesting, isn't it?" Wendi smirked.
"NO IT'S NOT!" Yui, Nove and Maren shouted.
"Okay Okay! Calm down!" Wendi stepped back.

Sein sighed, "What did Cinque-nee said about privacy?" She rested her arms on her waist.
"Look who's talking, you were always using your IS to sneak up on everyone." Wendi reminded her.
"T-That was for practice!" Sein defended herself.
"Then that time where you snatched my share of cake, that Cinque-nee made, from my own hands, was that also for practice?" Nove entered the discussion.
"W-well..." Sein avoided their gaze. "What can I say...it was good."
"Why you!" Nove gritted her teeth.
"Uwaa!" Sein left as quicly as she could.
"Tch...she's a fast runner when she needs to be." Nove complained.

Sein left but, Treize was still there.
"Ah, Trei-chan, did you meet everyone already?" Yui asked.
Treize shook her head, "Nove-neesama and Wendi-neesama are the only ones left..." She said.
"Neesama?" Yui blinked.
"Oh...she must have caught that from Deed." Wendi pointed it out.
"Un." Treize nodded.
"Well then, let's go over there and chat ~su." Wendi gave her hand to Treize and smirked, "You're coming too!" Wendi pulled Nove along.
"Wah~ b-but, I'm watching over Cinque-nee!" She said as she was dragged.

Lutecia and Agito looked at Treize, "Hoo...so that's the one they were talking about." Agito said, mentioning the talk Caro and Erio had with Lutecia.
"And these two are?" Koji looked at them.
Caro walked closer to Lutecia, "This is Lutecia, but she doesn't mind being called Lu-chan. Right, Lu-chan?" Caro smiled.
"Yes." Lutecia replied.
"Ah, Lutecia Alphino...nice to meet you, I'm Minawa Koji."
"I know." She said.
"Eh?" Koji blinked.
"Cinque talked about you." Lutecia looked at Cinque.
"She did?" Koji looked at her as well.
Cinque simply nodded.

"So..." Koji heard behind him. "You're the one who beat down Cinque when she was still recovering."
"A-are?" Koji sweatdropped, turning around.
"You don't look that strong at all..." Agito looked at him.
"What did you say?" Rein glared at Agito.
"I bet he was just lucky." She shrugged.
"She's quite protective of her comrades, huh?" Koji looked at Cinque.
"Maybe too protective." Cinque sweatdropped.

"Don't insult Koji-sama!" Rein countered, "Ill have you know, that he recently became a knight!" She said proudly.
"R-Rein..." He sweatdropped.
"WHAAAAT?" Agito said surprised. "This bully?"

"Ah..." Agito stayed silent. "W-well...If he was teached by Signum, then he's probably not that bad..." She turned her back, hiding her red cheeks.
(Amazing...just mentioning Signum-san, she got like this...) Koji tittered.
He then remembered, "That's right, Signum-san told me that she's looking forward to working with you."
"I can't be helped...We made a promise." Agito mumbled.
(But from what I heard, her compatibility with Signum-san is very high...and that was their first unison...or was it?) Koji said to himself.

Then, Bardiche spoke, [Sir, it is time.]
"Oh...Koji, it's time to go." Fate said.
"...I see." For a moment, Koji's expression changed from its relaxed demeanor to a more serious one.
Yui and Maren walked up to them, "It's time already?" Yui complained.
"But you can still stay here with everyone else." Koji said.
"Noo~" Yui shook her head, "I want to go with Onii-chan as far as I can~"
"Subaru and Teana are here as well, so I don't see any problem with Yui coming with us." Fate said.
Yui nodded, "And I'll wait until you return."
"Are you going somewhere?" Cinque asked Koji.
"Ah...well..." Koji avoided Cinque's look.
But Cinque figured it out right away, "You're going to see the Doctor...right?"
Koji nodded, Lutecia and Agito looked at them as they heard that.

"I'm sorry..." Koji apologized.
"You don't need to worry about it." Cinque smiled.
Maren looked at them, still feeling a bit jealous, (Cinque-san figured it out in an instant, when I...I still don't know the real reason why Koji-sama wants to talk to Scaglietti.)
"Subaru, Teana!" Fate called them.
Hearing Fate call them, they meet up with them, "Yes?" They ask.
"Koji, Maren and I will be leaving now, could you look after Caro, Erio and Treize for us?" Fate asked.
"Yes!" They said. "But...is Master Sergeant Reinforce going too?" Teana asked.
"Of course ~desu!" She said, still sitting on Koji's shoulder, "I'll keep Yui-chan company ~desu."
"Thanks, Rein-chan" Yui smiled.

After saying farewell to everyone, Fate, Yui, Rein, Maren and Koji boarded the helicopter and took off.

Basically it involves a marital legal scuffle that ended up in my niece becoming my younger sister.

It started 5 years ago when my older sister (a year older) got into a falling out with my parents regarding an issue with her getting a boyfriend when she's not supposed to. So one day she skips school and dissapears forever...

Which translates to about a couple of years doing odd jobs and getting comfy with her guy.

After some on-off on-off negotiations with the family my sis and the guy are finally given the blessing to tie the knot... which would be right after they gave birth to a healthy young girl, aka the sole person in the latest generation of the family.

While obviously the baby would've been a good reason for the two to get married already, for some inexplicable reason the guy keeps postponing the marriage, which is already sounding veeery fishy...

By this time sis had fully reconciliated with the rest of the family, and for a short period she moves back in with us while waiting in the wings for the eventual ceremony...

Now here's the reeaal kicker. One day the guy visits to see his daughter... and in the process unleashes shi-loads of colorfully unholy language, improper conduct and DIS R.E.S.P.E.C.T. unto our extended family members.

Suffice it to say the guy went from would-be-future-brother-in-law to He-who-shall-not-be-named (HWSNBN for short) Voldemort style reviled by everyone on this side of the fence... including my sis, who broke off with him and took the baby under her custody.

The last act in the puzzle was when HWSNBN here tries to get the baby back but in the process has the baby listed as... illegitimate, since you know the two never got married.

... which then leads to the Holy Powers Of Legality smashing thine hammer unto the guy, thus severing ANY and all connection to my sis and the baby. In the process though the baby's old identity as my sister's daughter ceased to be, and instead my parents adopted their granddaughter under their name... thus in effect my niece became my youngest sister

The Soul Children, as suggested by investigators, are agents trained by the School as a part of the Soul Candidate programme aimed to create a breed of “perfect soldiers”. They are usually orphans, picked up from the streets and absorbed into the School’s strict training regime. Most of them will never pass even the first training stages and drop out of the organization as outcasts, ending up in Britannian law-enforcers’ side. For those who do survive the tormenting six months they will be promoted to the School’s elite force and trained further to become the Soul Children.

For years, the Time-Space Administrative Bureau has monitored this group’s activity but has been unable to make a move on them due to the remoteness of their operation range. They do not approve of the School’s aim of using children as secret agents and plan to permanently shut down the organization. The bureau also wants to investigate the existence of a Lost Logia that has been sighted operating alongside the sisters although its identity is currently unobtainable due to information obscurity.

It is not only the TSAB that has extensive attention to the fairies. Visalia’s oldest kingdom, the Britannian Empire, also has interests towards them but on different reason: the so-called “scourge of the country” has repeatedly wrecked havoc around Britannia’s territories and terrorizes the people, although with some Britannian noble families providing financial backup to the organization, the empire has had hard times dealing with the Children. The Belkan Knights are also interested towards the Soul Children, especially the infamous Gemini Sisters, and some of them have actually had encounters with the twin sisters in previous clashes, which usually end up with the knights “physically beaten to pieces but mentally and soulfully blessed by the encounter”.

The Gemini Sisters are last reported to be sighted on the aquatic planet Alta Marina (10th Non-Administered World). Capturing the “poster sisters”, as both the Britannian Empire and the Belkan Knights have hoped, will demoralize the Soul Children and weaken their activity, which in turn will force the School to shut down its operation. The TSAB, therefore, has aimed to make their first move in the complicated chessboard game and get their hands on the Gemini Sisters.

AURA

Hostile, egoistical to a fault, and overly confident, Aura will do whatever is necessary to prove her ideas right even if she has to resort to brute strength. She is also cunning and uses her seductive traits to win herself over male opponents, usually with dire consequences to the opposing side.

At times, however, Aura will show her soft sides and often cries whenever she can’t do anything she needs; this is when her twin sister Freya plays the role of comforting her. She also has a deep admiration the chief director of the School, Doctor Cero Nagisa, whom she foresees as a father figure.

Deep in her heart, Aura is very concerned of the welfare of Freya and will do whatever it takes not to let her, usually putting her in risks. This “sisterly love” has led to speculation that the Gemini Sisters may actually be secret lovers, with Aura the dominant side.

Aura’s combat method in battle is best described in one phrase: “the best defence is a great offence.” She does not hold back and will exert her fullest strength in a combat, even when engaged in mock duel with her twin sister.

Aura’s tool-of-the-trade is Vaisaga, a Chinese sword-shaped Armed Device. It doesn’t have as much abilities as other Armed Devices, but this setback is counteracted with Aura’s self-taught sword-fighting techniques that are taught by the School weapon instructors.

As in any Armed Device, Vaisaga speaks German, possesses a male voice and addresses Aura as “Meister”.

Another name for Barrier Jacket and Knight’s armour, it’s designed to resemble combat maid uniform in its distinguished blue/white colour scheme, although with the absence of any armoured components it is hard to distinguish the suit from any ordinary clothes.

Panzer Geist
A spell necessary for all Belkan knights, this is Aura’s first spell in which she creates a defensive aura around her. Translated as “Tank Spirit”.

Triangle Shield
A powerful single-direction barrier magic that can endure prolonged attack.

Nachladen
This is not an attack, but refers to Vaisaga’s procedure of reloading a cartridge.

Explosion
Also not an attack, Vaisaga says this when using cartridges, analogous to the English-speaking Devices’ “Load Cartridge”.

Bind Break
Aura attempts to deactivate a binding or imprisoning spell. The amount of time required to deactivate depends on the complexity of the target magic.

Roar of the Wind Deity
Aura spends two cartridges to have the Vaisaga enveloped in wind energy. This is an extension to all of Vaisaga’s melee damages and is applicable to all attacks.

Blade of Silver Moon
Aura makes a somersault while extending the Vaisaga to create a crescent-shaped arc. It can be performed in midair. Being a purely physical attack it doesn’t consume any cartridge.

Divine Wind Hunter
This intricate manoeuvre begins when Aura wraps the opponent in a cape made out of magic energy, and three huge slashes can be seen in the air before a fourth, final slash brings both combatants back into view. Aura takes a kneeling position while her opponent is left suspended in midair before crashes into the ground.

There has been a running joke circulating the Belkan knights that Aura uses Divine Wind Hunter to “punish” her female opponents in combat, leading to more speculations that she is a bi.

Divine Sword of Heaven and Hell
Using its scabbard as cartridge feeder, Aura puts Vaisaga into it and lets the sword consume all available cartridges and be converted into a wind elemental blade once it’s sheathed out. Then Aura strikes the enemy with a blinding-speed slash that makes a flash of light before the background mysteriously freezes in gold tint. She, later, sheathes the Vaisaga and speaks something before the background turns black/white negative and the enemy receives full blow of the attack.

A striking contrast from her twin sister, Freya has a sense of inferiority and always tries using diplomatic methods to solve any problem. Also, unlike the ‘aggressive’ Aura, Freya holds back even more and doesn’t like being pushed around. Compared to Aura, Freya is considered “cuter” in term of mannerism and appearance.

Like Aura, Freya also holds high regards towards Doctor Cero although she isn’t as close to him as Aura despite the fact that Doctor Cero had adopted the twin sisters. She also dislikes Cero’s advisor Aquila Grimm who she sees as a “scary and dangerous old lady”.

Freya loves her twin sister and states that she will do anything to prove her affection towards Aura, whom she owes a lot for saving her from hard times. This has led to speculation that the Gemini Sisters may actually be secret lovers.

Freya addresses herself using the singular first-person boku (僕) as a sign of humility.

As the F2W Launcher gathers enough energy, she shouts “DISCHARGE!!” and fires a full blast of energy at the target.

Limit Exceed: Sword Breaker
This is a unique ability in which Ash Sabre “combines” with Freya’s Combat Armour Suit and “purges” its outer protective barrier to create sword-like projections. Then Freya commands the projections to attack the target in random successions before they end the manoeuvre by impaling the target from all directions and fires energy shots into it.

“DABURU INAZUMA RAKI PINCHI GESPENST-O STRAIKU!!”
This is actually Freya’s desperation attack in case of all the other attacks don’t bring out the result she needs. Usually it is either a punch or a kick, although Freya sometimes substitutes the attacks with anything she can use in her offensive manoeuvre -- from chair to frying pan.

The silly-sounding battle cry is not just for show; it serves to boost Freya’s strength, therefore making her more confident of winning a battle.

This is the Gemini Sisters’ dual ability, where they first agree to help each other in a series of precision-timed attack manoeuvre. Then they cast a spell that turns the battlefield into a “showbiz stage”, complete with music and stage lights, before they land precision attacks onto the enemy in dance-like movements that serve to foil the enemy’s aim.

Okay, couple of different ideas.

Cool and Spear Mint as angels are a combination of friend, protection, and booster... so I can go different ways with this:

1 - Two barrier Jacket modes. Details to be made if I go into it.
2 - Twin Familliars al la Admiral Graham.
3 - NOT twin familiars, but two different familiars. (Say, keeping with the animal theme, one is a wolf, one is a bird.)

Going into more diversified territory.

4 - Wingmates of her 'squadron.' (At this point her squadron is Thanatos, she is Thanatos 1. Thanatos meaning 'messenger of death'.)

5 - Two other Intelligent Devices. (Imagine a mage with three devices...)

What would everyone want to go with? Pick a number.

If I really were keeping to the theme of Lind, I'd pick out Liingo's twin Unison devices.

Yes, H4XX. But, since they're twins, my idea would be to have each UD be complementing opposites of each other: ex. Fire and Water, Light and Darkness etc... That way you can have both without being too H4XX about it.

Or, you could even have a single Unison device but with two aspects of the same base program, something like a more balanced and more refined version of Liingo's "MPD Unison Device" suggestion.

From age Six, young Lynn had been enchanted with the idea of becoming an Enforcer. A protector of the peace who would matte out justice to the unjust, and protect the people.
It was unfortunate that the accident that resulted in the Abandoned City on Mid Childa killed her parents and left her orphaned before age eight.

Feeling betrayed by the universe at the eradication of her happy childhood, she became determined to prove herself as an Enforcer, and to bring criminals everywhere to justice. So much was her determination and anger that before she even reached puberty, she was subjecting her body to a grueling training regimen that bordered on torturous... Seeking to make herself stronger in magic, body, and mind.
So intense was this training in fact, that she had been hospitalized three times and told not to continue. But she did anyway. By the time she was old enough to take the Enforcer exams for the TSAB, she had built up such an astounding tolerance for pain and exhaustion that she didn't win her combat challenges by skill, but by simply bullrushing her instructors and ignoring spells that quickly escalated into actual combat ranges.

Her combat training came later, and once again, it astounded and frightened her instructors. Lynn would train endlessly on her own between lessons, always seeming to seek more and more power, under harsh training regimens that would exhaust a normal mage. But she simply demanded more, and then crushed it underfoot. By the time she completed her training and qualified as an enforcer, her combat abilities were nothing but Phenominal.

It became clear soon after her qualification that she just wasn't cut out for being an Enforcer... Or rather, the Enforcer position wasn't made to handle her level of combat skill. Lynn was for lack of a better term, aggressive. Beyond aggressive. Often the first into a fight, and quickest to close combat, she would often be knee deep in trouble before any backup could even get into range. Overextending herself time and again, as well as an insane agression level left her opponents in a state of frenzied panic, she was seen as far too wild. Her collatteral in many pitched fights, was nothing short of spectacular. If it was in the way, it got knocked down, simple as that.

However, while it was deemed dangerous to a degree, it was also seen as potential untapped. Conceptually, a new unit was formed in the Enforcers to encompass an Elite Strike Unit for situations where the only way to take an adversary out was with immediate, unrestrained, overkill. The entire concept was based on Shock Troopers... and the Shock Enforcers were born.

Lynn in person isn't as frightening as she is in combat. Pollite, but serious, she doesn't look to provoke, and doesn't bother to insult, patronize, or otherwise do any kind of deliberate brown nosing. She quite simply, states facts as she sees them. Which can be quite frustrating to some, but her fearsome reputation keeps most people who don't know her from voicing counter oppinions.

FAMILLIARS: The Mint sisters Cool, and Spear

The twin Familliars were created by Lynn shortly after she was moved to the new Shock Enforcers unit. They assist her in combat for areas outside her normal specialties as she requires. Unlike most cat, or dog styled familliars, Cool and Spear are both midnight black Ravens, intelligent and deadly, and in animal form, smaller, and easier to support.


COOL MINT: The calm one, Cool Mint is a cunning planner, and keen eye. She rules the domain of information dominance, watching the battlefield unceasingly and talking to Lynn telepathicly about the broader spectrum of events.

- Shadow of Fear: Asside from acting as Lynn's living scout, Cool can focus her will upon an unsuspecting target with a mere stare. As long as direct line-of-site contact is not broken, the target feels suddenly insecure, jittery, and in some weaker opponents, fearful for what seems to be no reason.


SPEAR MINT: The short fuse. Spear Mint is artillery, plain and simple, a direct tactical compliment to Lynn's natural point of attack. And from a bird platform, that is frightening. Her specialty is lightning magics and ranged offensive power.

- Lightning Spear: Spear Mint will settle in high above the battle area and begin hurling lightning attacks of moderate power at any targets of oppertunity she happens to notice.

LYNN'S COMBAT ABILITIES
Lynn specializes in vicious close quarters fighting, relying on a doctrine of speed, power, and psychological warfare to multiply her combat power. Her magical focus is on barrier breaking impacts and first strike 'killing blows'.


Intelligent Rod (Axe) 'Waldron' (Female Device Voice, See notes just before Ranking Profile): Lynn is a master of pole armed close combat. Her intelligent device, Waldron, is a fearsome single bladed battle axe with a spear point on its head that holds a vicious ability to smash, cut, and peirce through obstacles at will. Considering projectile magics too slow to use, costly, and ineffective, Lynn's device operates almost exclusively in contact magic attacks.

- Raven Call (Logistic/Tactical): Lynn can summon Waldron from anywhere. And we mean anywhere. Whether it is calling it to her side in battle, calling it from the corpse of a fallen enemy, or summoning it from a pool of magma, Waldron obeys, and materializes in her grasp.

- Mjolnir Strike (Contact Offensive, barrier breaker): *Pronunciation 'MUOLL-neer Strike' *
Concentraiting magical energy into the swing and leading blade edge of Waldron, the most common magical attack Lynn has at her disposal is nothing short of getting straight to the point at maximum force. The blow it unleashes cleaves through solid steel armor over meter thick, and shatters concrete on contact. Barriers and shields mean little to this strike, often shattering immediately on impact, leaving the mage on the recieving end to deal with bone crushing force with little more than the protection of their barrier jackets to save them.

- Gungnir Strike: (Contact Offensive, weapon throw, barrier breaker, semi-guided.) When Lynn decides to let go of Waldron, it's usually as dangerous as when she's holding it. Instead of along the axe blade, the magical energy concentraits along the spear like head at the end, and Lynn throws the whole device like a Javaline. Waldron then flies under its own intelligent magical guidance to place itself on target. The results are often just as terrifying as the Mjolnir Strike, usually shattering barriers and pinning forces to the wall. (Those that survive.)

- Odin's Wrath (Non-Contact Offensive, Projectile, Wide Area): The only true projection attack in Lynn's personal arsenal, but it's a monster. A swing from her mighty axe using this attack, and Lynn unleashes a devastating blast of air capable of destroying heavy structures with ease.
Depending on the way she swings her blade, she can divide large bodies of water, cut office buildings in half, or take out innumerable foes in a wide arc in front of her. If she winds back with her axe well outside of melee range, get out of alignment with her swinging arc... FAST. However, since the attack isn't concentraited force, it is much easier to defend against with barriers. Though many times, this may just be a distraction for a closing move or as a method of dealing with cannon fodder level enemies.


Bare Handed: Despite Waldron being a good friend and useful device, Lynn still considers her merely a 'safety device'. Having progressed in bare handed combat since she was eight, her abilities in bare handed brutality far outstrip anything she does with her axe.

(NOTE: Lynn's Focus on Bare Handed techniques, and the comment on 'safety device' are homage to the manga Lind, who makes the epic comment after Hilde removes her axe from the fight. "That's not a weapon, THAT'S A SAFETY DEVICE!")

- Iron will, Iron fist (Reinforcement, condition):
Concentraiting magical energy into her arms, legs, and hands, Lynn turns her own limbs into tools of pure destruction, able to punch straight into solid plate steel without busting a knuckle. Able to guard from bladed devices and magical attacks with unshielded arms, to see her charging you down, and batting stinger blades and axel shooters asside is simply a psychological horror for any conventional mage.

- Point Buster (Contact Offensive, Barrier Breaker):
Ever wonder what a divine buster would do if it was not drawn out in a beam, but delivered into one spot, all at once? Lynn knows, she created the Point Buster, taking her Iron Will technique to the next level. Magical energy is concentraited in her fist the same way the Mjolnir strike works in Waldron, then delivered almost explosively to her opponent or target in the form of a punch.

- Flash Step (Movement, instantanious)
Flash Step is to Lynn, what Sonic Move, and Flash move are to other mages. Unlike normal flash moving, which carries momenum after accellerating, Flash Step litterally starts, and stops, in one step. Lynn will use it both in the air, or on the ground, to instantly cover distances to the precise spot she wishes to be in the blink of an eye.

- Flash Dance (Movement, continuous)
Flash step taken to the extreme. It requires Lynn's entire focus and willpower to keep this technique up. She litterally moves continuously at the speed and pacing of a flash step or sonic move, appearing to be a blur at best.

(NOTE: Flash Step and Dance are based off Lind's display of the Golden Eye mark of True power sequence, where she blitzes Hild in the Anime's OVA and Hilde has to go up to 50% of her true power just to keep step.)

- Heaven's Lightning Hammer (Contact offensive, barrier breaker)
If the point buster was frightening, the HLH, is simply too much for words. This attack, is a kick. A BIG kick. Lynn will jump, or fly, high into the sky, then concentrait the same kind of magic force as her point buster, into her foot, and come down on the target like a meteor, smashing straight through barriers, walls, and other reinforcing materials, flattening, crushing, or just plain annihilating opponents like a divine force.

(This one's homage to Lind's meteor smash looking attack on the angel eater in the OVA.)

Defensive Notes:

Lynn believes in the concept that offense is the best defense, so you won't see her hiding behind barriers very often. However, she still wears a barrier jacket of her design, and knows the basic defensive barrier and shield spells for their limited use.



Psychological Impact:
Lynn recognizes that both her reputation, and her ferocity in combat have an adverse affect on all but the most hardy of opponents, and utilizes this to a great degree. She often never speaks at all to opponents in combat, casting an ominous silence as she goes about, only broken by blood chilling battle cries... relying on psychic broadcasts to do most of her communicating.


::SPECIALS::

- Lance and Again (Combo move.)
Lynn will throw Waldron, whether it's a Gungnir strike, or just a spear-like throw, she'll then summon it back to her hand with a Raven Call as soon as it hits, and repeat the action if she wishes to.


- Heavenly Descent (Signature Combination Move):
If Lynn has a target in her sight right at the opening of the fight, she will use this to try and start, AND FINISH, the fight. Starting from altitude, she will approach the target while applying flash dance to accellerate, build energy into Waldron for Mjolnir Strike, and then she will employ short range transfer/movement magic at the same time, and attempt to cover over a kilometer of distance to close combat range in no time flat and hit full force with Waldron...
To those who've been caught by this attack, it appears as if Lynn emerges from a fireball descending from the skies to deliver divine punishment in a single axe blow of judgement.

(NOTE: This is direct homage to Lind's 'descent' scene near the end of the first TV series, when she comes hurtling down out of a fireball to attack the Lord of Terror infecting Keiichi.)


- Odin's Thunderbolt (Team Move, requires Cool and Spear.)
This is an extended Gungnir Strike, made possible only by cooperation between Cool and Spear. Cool will give Lynn precise long range information on a distant opponent, Lynn will throw the strike in that direction, and Waldron will take care of mid-flight details. If the opponent is using any kind of barrier, the shattering of the barrier by the Gungnir Strike will leave the opponent vulnerable to the followup attack from Spear.

Basically it involves a marital legal scuffle that ended up in my niece becoming my younger sister.

It started 5 years ago when my older sister (a year older) got into a falling out with my parents regarding an issue with her getting a boyfriend when she's not supposed to. So one day she skips school and dissapears forever...

Which translates to about a couple of years doing odd jobs and getting comfy with her guy.

After some on-off on-off negotiations with the family my sis and the guy are finally given the blessing to tie the knot... which would be right after they gave birth to a healthy young girl, aka the sole person in the latest generation of the family.

While obviously the baby would've been a good reason for the two to get married already, for some inexplicable reason the guy keeps postponing the marriage, which is already sounding veeery fishy...

By this time sis had fully reconciliated with the rest of the family, and for a short period she moves back in with us while waiting in the wings for the eventual ceremony...

Now here's the reeaal kicker. One day the guy visits to see his daughter... and in the process unleashes shi-loads of colorfully unholy language, improper conduct and DIS R.E.S.P.E.C.T. unto our extended family members.

Suffice it to say the guy went from would-be-future-brother-in-law to He-who-shall-not-be-named (HWSNBN for short) Voldemort style reviled by everyone on this side of the fence... including my sis, who broke off with him and took the baby under her custody.

The last act in the puzzle was when HWSNBN here tries to get the baby back but in the process has the baby listed as... illegitimate, since you know the two never got married.

... which then leads to the Holy Powers Of Legality smashing thine hammer unto the guy, thus severing ANY and all connection to my sis and the baby. In the process though the baby's old identity as my sister's daughter ceased to be, and instead my parents adopted their granddaughter under their name... thus in effect my niece became my youngest sister

And that's the gist of it

Trust me, you don't want to be the one they're after when they knock down the door... because the whole building is probably going to be knocked down with it.

From age Six, young Lynn had been enchanted with the idea of becoming an Enforcer. A protector of the peace who would matte out justice to the unjust, and protect the people.
It was unfortunate that the accident that resulted in the Abandoned City on Mid Childa killed her parents and left her orphaned before age eight.

Feeling betrayed by the universe at the eradication of her happy childhood, she became determined to prove herself as an Enforcer, and to bring criminals everywhere to justice. So much was her determination and anger that before she even reached puberty, she was subjecting her body to a grueling training regimen that bordered on torturous... Seeking to make herself stronger in magic, body, and mind.
So intense was this training in fact, that she had been hospitalized three times and told not to continue. But she did anyway. By the time she was old enough to take the Enforcer exams for the TSAB, she had built up such an astounding tolerance for pain and exhaustion that she didn't win her combat challenges by skill, but by simply bullrushing her instructors and ignoring spells that quickly escalated into actual combat ranges.

Her combat training came later, and once again, it astounded and frightened her instructors. Lynn would train endlessly on her own between lessons, always seeming to seek more and more power, under harsh training regimens that would exhaust a normal mage. But she simply demanded more, and then crushed it underfoot. By the time she completed her training and qualified as an enforcer, her combat abilities were nothing but Phenominal.

It became clear soon after her qualification that she just wasn't cut out for being an Enforcer... Or rather, the Enforcer position wasn't made to handle her level of combat skill. Lynn was for lack of a better term, aggressive. Beyond aggressive. Often the first into a fight, and quickest to close combat, she would often be knee deep in trouble before any backup could even get into range. Overextending herself time and again, as well as an insane agression level left her opponents in a state of frenzied panic, she was seen as far too wild. Her collatteral in many pitched fights, was nothing short of spectacular. If it was in the way, it got knocked down, simple as that.

However, while it was deemed dangerous to a degree, it was also seen as potential untapped. Conceptually, a new unit was formed in the Enforcers to encompass an Elite Strike Unit for situations where the only way to take an adversary out was with immediate, unrestrained, overkill. The entire concept was based on Shock Troopers... and the Shock Enforcers were born.

Lynn in person isn't as frightening as she is in combat. Pollite, but serious, she doesn't look to provoke, and doesn't bother to insult, patronize, or otherwise do any kind of deliberate brown nosing. She quite simply, states facts as she sees them. Which can be quite frustrating to some, but her fearsome reputation keeps most people who don't know her from voicing counter oppinions.

Spoiler for Familliars:

FAMILLIARS: The Mint sisters Cool, and Spear

The twin Familliars were created by Lynn shortly after she was moved to the new Shock Enforcers unit. They assist her in combat for areas outside her normal specialties as she requires. Unlike most cat, or dog styled familliars, Cool and Spear are both midnight black Ravens, intelligent and deadly, and in animal form, smaller, and easier to support.


COOL MINT: The calm one, Cool Mint is a cunning planner, and keen eye. She rules the domain of information dominance, watching the battlefield unceasingly and talking to Lynn telepathicly about the broader spectrum of events.

- Shadow of Fear: Asside from acting as Lynn's living scout, Cool can focus her will upon an unsuspecting target with a mere stare. As long as direct line-of-site contact is not broken, the target feels suddenly insecure, jittery, and in some weaker opponents, fearful for what seems to be no reason.


SPEAR MINT: The short fuse. Spear Mint is artillery, plain and simple, a direct tactical compliment to Lynn's natural point of attack. And from a bird platform, that is frightening. Her specialty is lightning magics and ranged offensive power.

- Lightning Spear: Spear Mint will settle in high above the battle area and begin hurling lightning attacks of moderate power at any targets of oppertunity she happens to notice.

LYNN'S COMBAT ABILITIES
Lynn specializes in vicious close quarters fighting, relying on a doctrine of speed, power, and psychological warfare to multiply her combat power. Her magical focus is on barrier breaking impacts and first strike 'killing blows'.


Intelligent Rod (Axe) 'Waldron' (Female Device Voice, See notes just before Ranking Profile): Lynn is a master of pole armed close combat. Her intelligent device, Waldron, is a fearsome single bladed battle axe with a spear point on its head that holds a vicious ability to smash, cut, and peirce through obstacles at will. Considering projectile magics too slow to use, costly, and ineffective, Lynn's device operates almost exclusively in contact magic attacks.

- Raven Call (Logistic/Tactical): Lynn can summon Waldron from anywhere. And we mean anywhere. Whether it is calling it to her side in battle, calling it from the corpse of a fallen enemy, or summoning it from a pool of magma, Waldron obeys, and materializes in her grasp.

- Mjolnir Strike (Contact Offensive, barrier breaker): *Pronunciation 'MUOLL-neer Strike' *
Concentraiting magical energy into the swing and leading blade edge of Waldron, the most common magical attack Lynn has at her disposal is nothing short of getting straight to the point at maximum force. The blow it unleashes cleaves through solid steel armor over meter thick, and shatters concrete on contact. Barriers and shields mean little to this strike, often shattering immediately on impact, leaving the mage on the recieving end to deal with bone crushing force with little more than the protection of their barrier jackets to save them.

- Gungnir Strike: (Contact Offensive, weapon throw, barrier breaker, semi-guided.) When Lynn decides to let go of Waldron, it's usually as dangerous as when she's holding it. Instead of along the axe blade, the magical energy concentraits along the spear like head at the end, and Lynn throws the whole device like a Javaline. Waldron then flies under its own intelligent magical guidance to place itself on target. The results are often just as terrifying as the Mjolnir Strike, usually shattering barriers and pinning forces to the wall. (Those that survive.)

- Odin's Wrath (Non-Contact Offensive, Projectile, Wide Area): The only true projection attack in Lynn's personal arsenal, but it's a monster. A swing from her mighty axe using this attack, and Lynn unleashes a devastating blast of air capable of destroying heavy structures with ease.
Depending on the way she swings her blade, she can divide large bodies of water, cut office buildings in half, or take out innumerable foes in a wide arc in front of her. If she winds back with her axe well outside of melee range, get out of alignment with her swinging arc... FAST. However, since the attack isn't concentraited force, it is much easier to defend against with barriers. Though many times, this may just be a distraction for a closing move or as a method of dealing with cannon fodder level enemies.


Bare Handed: Despite Waldron being a good friend and useful device, Lynn still considers her merely a 'safety device'. Having progressed in bare handed combat since she was eight, her abilities in bare handed brutality far outstrip anything she does with her axe.

(NOTE: Lynn's Focus on Bare Handed techniques, and the comment on 'safety device' are homage to the manga Lind, who makes the epic comment after Hilde removes her axe from the fight. "That's not a weapon, THAT'S A SAFETY DEVICE!")

- Iron will, Iron fist (Reinforcement, condition):
Concentraiting magical energy into her arms, legs, and hands, Lynn turns her own limbs into tools of pure destruction, able to punch straight into solid plate steel without busting a knuckle. Able to guard from bladed devices and magical attacks with unshielded arms, to see her charging you down, and batting stinger blades and axel shooters asside is simply a psychological horror for any conventional mage.

- Point Buster (Contact Offensive, Barrier Breaker):
Ever wonder what a divine buster would do if it was not drawn out in a beam, but delivered into one spot, all at once? Lynn knows, she created the Point Buster, taking her Iron Will technique to the next level. Magical energy is concentraited in her fist the same way the Mjolnir strike works in Waldron, then delivered almost explosively to her opponent or target in the form of a punch.

- Flash Step (Movement, instantanious)
Flash Step is to Lynn, what Sonic Move, and Flash move are to other mages. Unlike normal flash moving, which carries momenum after accellerating, Flash Step litterally starts, and stops, in one step. Lynn will use it both in the air, or on the ground, to instantly cover distances to the precise spot she wishes to be in the blink of an eye.

- Flash Dance (Movement, continuous)
Flash step taken to the extreme. It requires Lynn's entire focus and willpower to keep this technique up. She litterally moves continuously at the speed and pacing of a flash step or sonic move, appearing to be a blur at best.

(NOTE: Flash Step and Dance are based off Lind's display of the Golden Eye mark of True power sequence, where she blitzes Hild in the Anime's OVA and Hilde has to go up to 50% of her true power just to keep step.)

- Heaven's Lightning Hammer (Contact offensive, barrier breaker)
If the point buster was frightening, the HLH, is simply too much for words. This attack, is a kick. A BIG kick. Lynn will jump, or fly, high into the sky, then concentrait the same kind of magic force as her point buster, into her foot, and come down on the target like a meteor, smashing straight through barriers, walls, and other reinforcing materials, flattening, crushing, or just plain annihilating opponents like a divine force.

(This one's homage to Lind's meteor smash looking attack on the angel eater in the OVA.)

Defensive Notes:

Lynn believes in the concept that offense is the best defense, so you won't see her hiding behind barriers very often. However, she still wears a barrier jacket of her design, and knows the basic defensive barrier and shield spells for their limited use.



Psychological Impact:
Lynn recognizes that both her reputation, and her ferocity in combat have an adverse affect on all but the most hardy of opponents, and utilizes this to a great degree. She often never speaks at all to opponents in combat, casting an ominous silence as she goes about, only broken by blood chilling battle cries... relying on psychic broadcasts to do most of her communicating.


::SPECIALS::

- Lance and Again (Combo move.)
Lynn will throw Waldron, whether it's a Gungnir strike, or just a spear-like throw, she'll then summon it back to her hand with a Raven Call as soon as it hits, and repeat the action if she wishes to.


- Heavenly Descent (Signature Combination Move):
If Lynn has a target in her sight right at the opening of the fight, she will use this to try and start, AND FINISH, the fight. Starting from altitude, she will approach the target while applying flash dance to accellerate, build energy into Waldron for Mjolnir Strike, and then she will employ short range transfer/movement magic at the same time, and attempt to cover over a kilometer of distance to close combat range in no time flat and hit full force with Waldron...
To those who've been caught by this attack, it appears as if Lynn emerges from a fireball descending from the skies to deliver divine punishment in a single axe blow of judgement.

(NOTE: This is direct homage to Lind's 'descent' scene near the end of the first TV series, when she comes hurtling down out of a fireball to attack the Lord of Terror infecting Keiichi.)


- Odin's Thunderbolt (Team Move, requires Cool and Spear.)
This is an extended Gungnir Strike, made possible only by cooperation between Cool and Spear. Cool will give Lynn precise long range information on a distant opponent, Lynn will throw the strike in that direction, and Waldron will take care of mid-flight details. If the opponent is using any kind of barrier, the shattering of the barrier by the Gungnir Strike will leave the opponent vulnerable to the followup attack from Spear.
