Sheet music update: finally got my movie tab book shipped. Delivery estimate is Wednesday, but I might not be able to start tabbing until Thursday or Friday.

Okay, my Wednesday evening freed up. My current plan is to tab in this order:

Ichiban Ippai/Ohayou, Mata Ashita (Undecided order)

If anyone wants to suggest any changes, feel free. I'll do my best to tab them all in one sitting, though, so it shouldn't really matter. Sit tight at your computers Wednesday night with your guitars ready!

That list looks all right. I'll learn Singing as soon as you've got it posted so I can get my dual cover done as soon as I can. I 'spose it'll be my way of thanking you for getting the tabs

Also does anyone know any more music like K-on? I'm wanting to find some, but I honestly have no idea where to start. Preferably with a female singer, and not overly focused on the electronic synth stuff (as in, more guitars/bass/drums, less keyboardy stuff)

I got interested in SCANDAL, all girl band (yes, they're beautiful). They have few songs that were used as OP/ED in some anime. I think it's about in line with K-ON. (Try "Pride". That's my favorite.)

so now I have two different Yui figures, a Mio figure, all 4 mangas, volume 1 of the DVD and the Utauyo Miracle limited edition.

hmmm, it's been a while since I've viewed this page. and a whole lot is happening as well.
ok, after a few days at the hospital, plenty of fresh air, and some not-needed "destructive criticism" from my "jerkface-know-it-all" friend, i got pumped up to do a cover that i've been wanting for a while back in late February (the month of LOVE). This is from someone with "NO LEAD GUITAR POTENTIAL":

they say i should take it easy for a while, but that won't be fun. (I'll take it easy when I'm dead XDDD). plus, i think i've been slacking too much. btw, that so-called "friend" keeps on mocking me and the stuff that i do, just because he thinks that what i play is a total waste of time and effort.

You need to find new friends. I can't stand guitar elitists who think that people suck just because they can't shred at 500bpm. It's all about expressing yourself creatively and musically, and if you think that playing songs like this does that, then go right ahead and do it.

(I have a few "friends" who are just like that by the way)

Music is about passion so you should play what you want to play. I don't really mind if most of the songs I play are anime songs. In fact, I'm having fun playing them.

Potential? You can always get better when you practice. You don't need some inborn talent to play good. I don't really have an aptitude in music since I'm more of a programmer but that will not make me stop from playing.

I agree with BigSmoke. You really improved. Try looking at your old vids so you can know how much you've improved. In my case, it's been a year already but I didn't even budge since yeah I'm not really playing alot this days because of my work as a game developer.

Just keep playing and playing but if there's someone with a constructive criticism, be open-minded and consider what he's telling you since this may make you better. If someone keeps on telling you're playing crappy music, then just ignore them, they won't be of any help.

Anyway cool cover. You messed up on the solo though XD right on the bending part.

More power to japanese music!

I guess its not what you play, but how you play it, but I think in the end you have to like it yourself, but still be open to criticism.
