I feel like the Computer Society President, refreshing the page just to see if anything's changed.

Well their counter is kinda flawed in the sense that it increases even if you just refresh the page, whereas other sites probably have some sort of tracking implemented.

Edit: Nvm didn't realise the click on the video thing

Great, a MySpace page. Have we learned nothing from Yuki's rant?

The www.sos-dan.com site has not changed yet. In fact, the counter appears to have reset.

Yup - indeed. Licensed by Bandai Entertainment through Kadokawa Pictures USA. That video was quite hilarious.

No "possibly" about it - take a look at the video linked on the webpage.

The horking big "BANDAI ENTERTAINMENT" banner that shows up about halfway thru should remove all doubt.

From the source code at www.sos-dan.com

<!-- It is coming soon Haruhiism forever North America -->
<!-- Examining incoming data. Timespace continuums steadily approaching critical point, gateway protocols initiated. Information still incomplete. Requesting further data for analysis. -->

<!-- NDA says we can't disclose how much $$$ we got for all this -->
<!-- rm -rf sos-dan.com; mv asosbrigade.com-mirror sos-dan.com -->
<!-- where did the backup tape go?! -->

So they've just reverted to a previous version of the page and no redirects. Dunno what that means

I'm giving the benefit of a doubt. But hey, true, if the honking huge BANDAI logo doesn't give it away, you have to be blind.

It's funny how that Kyon is 'recuperating'... that would mean that everything really is running according to the order of the novel, and even taking account of the time in Japan...

I do very much enjoy that video. I wonder though if Cease and Desist, or heads will roll! will come very soon.

Well if they're being that faithful to the source material(and going to great lengths with this marketing stunt), then perhaps we can have some confidence in their DVD releases ^^

Well, I can't see why that'd happen... They even thank fansub viewers who buy the DVDs, which is a bit unusual (though, in this case, it's pretty clear that those paying attention to this particular PR stunt are probably fansub viewers (or at least English speakers already exposed to the show) -- otherwise, you really wouldn't get it at all). When the license is confirmed, the torrents will go down around here as usual, so no need for a C&D...

Hmmm... was the Haruhi cosplay porn worse than that...? Hmm... grrrr... arrgghh...I don't think I can answer that question.

So, Bandai, huh. Don't blame me for being really apprehensive, since the My-HiME localization was so hit-and-miss. There were a few fantastic performances in that, but a few really, really bad ones. I'd have slept far easier tonight if this was announced by Funi or Geneon, that's for sure. And my suspicion is that Patricia Lee won't play Haruhi's voice... but I don't exactly have a great deal to base that on, other than mindless speculation. Either way, the next big question is "when", ie when will the DVDs come out (and, more importantly to me anyway, when will they start coming out in Australia). And, "who" will be in it. And, will they keep the episodes in broadcast order or sell them in chronological order. No question, either way I'll certainly be buying them as they come out.
