Also, a twist on the "banishment" thing. What if it was something like divorce? And that Rafael tried, but couldn't keep the marriage together. Which results in Arianne telling Charlotte that her father had abandoned them. And trauma/loss/or something, causes her to slowly lose her memories of her father while he still was a part of her life.

Unrelated:

Japanese Government in IS-verse appear humble but enjoy rubbing other countries' faces about the following fact:

IS is invented by a Japanese
The Winner of (two) IS competition is a Japanese
First and only Male IS pilot is a Japanese.
A Japanese has 4th gen IS (indirectly, it means it belongs to them).

They like to mention it a lot to a point where Other government were fed-up by it which is why the Idiot Initiative is activated.

Idiot initiative is name after one simple fact:
Idiots are too stupid to know what they can't do.
and what they are doing is technically stupid....

The Initiative is based on a simple fact:
Nothing is 100% impossible.
If they scan through the entire world looking for another Male pilot other than in Japan, the odds of them getting one is not equal to zero.

Edit: The plan is so simple that it is technically idiot-proof.

2005: Ichika and Houki met
Christmas 2005: White Knight Incident
February 2006: I.S. unveiled to the world formally, began construction of I.S.A and massproduction of the core.
March 2007: I.S.A. went operational
March 2009: Tabane disappear, Houki’s family put under protection.
June 2009: Madoka went to a Boarding school
August 2009: Rin came to Japan.
Christmas 2009: Mondo Grosso I
Christmas 2012: Mondo Grosso II, Ichika kidnapped, Chifuyu went to German.
2013/2014: Chifuyu Returned to Japan.
July 2014: Rin left to china
March 2015: Sacred Twins Starts

Timeline is one of the hardest work when making fics.

I have about 17 revised timelines sent to my friend/beta/semi-coauthor, DMAsh.

Each had about 20 different important dates. And I revised it SEVENTEEN TIMES. Yep. Took a hellishly long amount of work.

Well, the only thing important is Sunday, 27 September. The rest can be easily manipulated because I usually only mention months and weeks.

For example: Rin came at April, Class Rep tournament mid-April, Charles and Laura came at May, the Individual tournament is June and the Gospel arc is July.

Well this was discussed before but. Since we're all quite aware that 467 weapons of mass destruction just isn't quite enough since they were split between the countries of the world which means each country now has anywhere in between 1-10 IS units to call their own. And we all know having one big gun isn't really enough to fight a war, we'd need lots of guns.

So how do you guys supplement the IS forces in your fics?
