Americans (and I assume other countries that frequent 4chan) tend to hang on to older characters for longer it would seem. Of course AnimeSuki can also have that trend seeing how active some of the Older Series threads are.

Shana lost? ... Where's the fun in Shana losing so early? Saimoe is fun cause of all the troll characters... Tsk... Not really interested in today's matches... Oh, wait, there's Nymph.

that is only because of the ip bans, let the foreigners back in and both will win again.

that is because 2ch has the memory span of a American Voter. If it didn't happen today, they won't remember it at all.

Oh man Salsa got dominated, well i was expecting that anyway. Ui lost by a close margin. Lol Shana lost again, happy for Yuuko though.

Today i'm rooting for Millhiore, Yoshika, and Naruko

I'm with the 2ch point of view, though. New characters = freshness. Sure Shana lost, now let's proceed to watch Aria curbstomp (disclaimer: Aria won't curbstomp).

On this day: Nymph and Anal. I keep pushing back actually watching SW. It seems I would love Yoshika.

It's not just Americans. My blog's traffic is 38.39% US IPs, 6.19% Japanese IPs, and 55.42% other, including Southeast Asia, South America, Europe, and Australia. Google search referalls from country coded versions of google outnumber plain google.com 25 to 20.

Actually, this makes sense. I remember visiting Animates and similar stores in Tokyo, and all the merchandise in these stores was stuff from the current season at the time or maybe the one before, but nothing older than like 6 months.
Yes, I fully agree with this.

Can we equate Saimoe voter with the entire Japanese otaku? How come there are so many Japanese Magazine polls that still have characters from something like 7+ years ago ranked very high?

I dunno for sure, but facts line up this way: They knocked out the foreigners and the veterans suddenly start getting smashed... so I think it's reasonable to think there is a correlation.

Also, I didn't tell the whole story about what I saw at those stores. There were nostalgia sections, but that stuff was usually really old and only from the most popular series (like Gundam and Evangelion).

So then. They're equated as perennial bandwagoners.

No clue why people fussed about how Shana lost...it's a typical assassination, pure and simple...Yuuko has the characteristics of assassin all over her and Shana has the characteristics of victim all over her...(I mean, A-Channel is not exactly the most popular anime in the world...)

Well, went 2-1 (When I don't go 2-1 anyway?), total 42-21. Thought Arashiko was not strong enough to keep K-On losing, guess not...

Guess next round...
E-2: Milihoire - Simply the strongest girl in the group...
E-6: Miyafuji - Just b/c the other two are weak
E-10: Anaru - She'll win this easily...

Likely to go 3-0 this time...hopefully...
