TK & Kari seem like a such a perfect couple that Davis didn't stood a chance. That why It was fun to support Davis.
It was like watching Doreamon where Nobita trying get between Dekisugi & Shizuka despite noticing Dekisugi & Shizuka being a perfect couple.

I don't ship Taoira (more of a Takari fan myself) but didn't the Taichi X Sora pairing win the official couple poll many years back? Can't say that it's a predominantly western pairing if that's the case.

Ah so that's it, I don't really remember all that well either since it was many years back. I just dimly remember Takeru X Kari and Taichi X Sora was pretty high on a poll like that.

Those old polls appear to have been made during 02. This poll about "pairings" seems to have been made at the beginning of 02 (long before the Christmas episode).

However, currently it appears that this popularity of Taiora (and Sora herself) has decreased.

Although I wonder what will happen between fans if it comes back to be interaction between Taichi and Sora (even if it is not something romantic). That could increase the popularity again.

Now, it is more or less confirmed that there will be some interaction between Taichi and Sora (although this is probably not romantic), since she's steps between Taichi and Yamato.

Did that ... need confirming?

I mean, Digimon Adventure wasn't always the best about having its characters interact (I think Matt and Mimi only spoke to each other twice in 100 episodes), but I don't think it really needs confirming that two members of the main cast will interact at some point. I'd say that's pretty much a given.

I love watching the Protagonist falling for a girl he can't have and trying to be worthy of her.
That's the only thing I love about Adventure 02 !
I want that Feeling back But I don't want to support Davis.
I wish there is another Boy who also likes Kari and Jealous of TK!
May be , He could be the "Straight-man'' of the show.
Off course , It would be cool if Wizardmon's Ghost contact with a Boy to send message to the DigiDestined! Later it turn out he & Wizardmon has a connection because he is his True Partner.

Tha's what I got from the quote as well. Takeru's song was basically pondering whether he's the focus of Hikari's heart.

I think this ties well with it because to me it's the cliche of every girl wants to be with me except the girl I want or so he thinks same with Hikari.

I do believe that Takari does have a chance in these movies IMO.

Well... Something has been bothering me since the shipping war started, regarding whether the ending of 02 is canon.
Is there a rule that says you have to marry your childhood/highschool lover ?
Cause Takari can be a thing in the OAV for a while but they can still... wait for it... Break up.

From what i've read, seems like people think "they are together, now it's FOR EVER !" Duh.

She's the only girl who attracted both Tk & Tai , 2 most important guys in Kari's life.

02 arrived and just ignored everything that happened before just because they said so......
