'Playing' Megane requires more levels in debate than the audience might find believable from Sota. That might be a job for Meteora, but nobody else should be trying it. And given that her powers basically work by her tricking you into denying something she said, linking a false equivalence to what she said, and finally using the soliphistic equivalent of the double negative (A lie about a lie...) to make the false equivalence reality, the only way to win an arguement with her is not to enter it to begin with.

That said, the silent treatment is not gonna work, given her ability to nag at you until you yell at her to shut up (and at that point, you've all but lost), or attack her (but she's as agile as a cat...), and you don't need to lose your cool around her anyway, So Sota tried the only other tactic that could work - agree with whatever she says, so even if she ties a false equivalence to her statement, she can't invoke the double negative to make the false equivalence reality. Of course, the downside to that is that you still have to listen to her talk until she either gets tired of trying to press your buttons, or she finds a button that you just can't ignore (like she did with Sota in this ep), but thems the risks if you're gonna play.

Harking back to a previous discussion: Regarding what Altair is meant to be a homage to, I don't think she's meant to be a homage to anything. I think she's a Mary-Sue.

I don't mean that in the sense that I think she's a poorly written character -- I mean that she, in-universe, with her ridiculously long white hair, multicoloured eyes, array of random powers that somehow match whatever the situation calls for, trappings of military culture, and tragic backstory, is meant to be a Mary-Sue.

I wonder how would Charon act in the next episode. Since he only just appears here and there, we don't have any idea whether he's convinced by Altair, brainwashed, or something else entirely. My theory is that judging from his Vogelchevalier having a darkish pallete, he's riding the Eizenkavalier Selesia's talking about in episode one.

I had a feeling Charon would show up but i did not think it would be at that very moment. This should make things quite interesting. If Altair pulled Charon who the hell us did she pull into the real world over the months when the crew was working on this plan.

Charon is fully aware of the situation and he chose to fight with Altair due to the continuous fighting in the story.

Alicetaria dies after attacking Altair (who has revealed what happened to Mamika, basically), and Altair even scorns her after her death, saying she wasn't the main character of this story.

Gigas Machina loses an arm while fighting Charon (and Selesia is unsure on what to do), Hikayu comes to the rescue and then the rest of the gang tries to attack Altair, with limited results.

In the end, Selesia decides to fight for the creators and the world against Charon, and ultimately sacrifices herself to stop him (Gigas Machina basically blows them off), all while everyone - Matsubara included - watches.

- While discussing Charon's appearance in episode 15, Hiroe said that in Naked he wrote it in a way people wouldn't understand his identity, but in the anime, it was pretty much clear;

- It's reiterated that Charon is tired of fighting, as he said in the episode;

- Reflecting on Matsubara's sentence "When a character decides, we can't do anything about it", it is drawn a parallel with Hiroe's past works, in particular the U-Boat episode in Black Lagoon (I didn't read it, so I have no idea of the details - the editor mentions a particular scene I'm not familiar with saying there was a problem on what to do next);

- Hiroe liked Alice's death scene and the following sections;

- There was also a mention of Hikayu becoming more like a real person (much like the other characters of the show);

- Hiroe says that one of the concept of the show is choosing, where characters have to choose another way compared to the one they stuck with.

RIP Alice. I think she went out of this show in one of the more tragic ways since she wasn't able to avenge (well, at least she knows the truth about Mamika's death now) her friend's death.

Altair is so OP. She took on multiple opponents, countering Alice like it was nothing, and also playing mind games with her enemies all the same time. At this rate, I'm guessing Sota may be their only hope..? Not to mention, Selestia made a brave sacrifice at the end.

I hope she comes back in the future though.

I wonder if the Festival audience, esp. the Vogelchevalier/ Alicetaria fans, are starting to question Altair's OPness at this point. Because that's exactly what's needed to contain her powers, and I doubt the fans will like an unknown fan character swatting away their favourites with such ease.

At the beginning I was like "Selesia, you dumb bitch! WTF are you doing!".
But at the end I was like "Selesia, nooooo~!".

This episode had so much punches and was the best episode so far for me. It felt like if it was the 2nd to last episode of the series. But we still have 3 more episodes right? Damn, what on earth will happen. Though I hope we don't get a cheap move where all the 'dead' characters comes back again lol. Sorry Mamika and Alicetaria. Though unlike the previous two there's still a chance that Selesia is still alive.
