Fun schlock show, I particularly liked the chibi segments. It's a shame they chose to tone down the intimacy, but I guess it does give a reason to read the manga.

7/10

I felt that after the first batch of elves came the show slowed down to a paint-by-the-numbers setting.
Still, unlike other shows this season, I don't regret following this series through to the end.

7/10.

Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload?

Actually, in the anime itself stated that some babies were born from the ogre maids, although everyone's reaction made it seem a bit awkward as it was a passing comment... I mean, who is the father??!?!? If babies were already born, why does Lu get all the intention and Alfred is treated like the village's first baby?

Because this is a double misunderstanding. Firstly the giving birth was before they moved to the village. And secondly, it's "osan ni tachiatta koto no aru", which doesn't mean they gave birth, but that they have been present during (and implicitly meaning helped with) the childbirth.

It would have been more fun if the answer was that their children were grown and living their lives even before the oni maids came to the village...

Honestly that's what I thought when I saw it. But it certainly makes sense that at least one or two ladies with experience working as maids would also have experience being midwives.
