I know but looking at the trailers it seems they want to keep the bullets and such for the UNSC.
So I'll be a tad mad if the UNSC doesn't have highly advanced tech that puts them ahead of the covenant which it should. And I'm not sure how there's a giant fleet of covenant as most of the ships have been destroyed or put out of commission and the elites don't even know how to build one. It depends on how much time passed from glasslands to halo 4 but it can't be that long. |

Well I would say by Halo 4's time ONI was probably found out because of the elite they tried to study broke free.
The only question is where they got such a large fleet since they are literally scrapping by. The Jackals are just pirates and mercenaries and some are already trading with human insurgents and the Grunts....they were no mention of them at all. |

Like I said the novel shows some Brutes have joined the Elites and other Elite Factions and they are having as much trouble maintaining their own ships. Even a Frigate is worth a lot.
They have bogged down into tribal warfare as "faith" was the one thing that kept them united. IMO I think it's silly that they brought the covenant back just to make things familiar with older fans. I mean by Halo 2 we were already playing the Arbiter which carries over into Halo 3 so for Halo 4 to reset the status quo is almost kinda silly. I'm hoping that not all of the elites are hostile. |

Release date is out.
From what it sounds like, it's a more objective and cooperative oriented replacement for firefight. Like, instead of nothing but defending against endless waves of Covenant, you get to carry out a bunch of objective based coop mini missions that are part of a narrative. I'm still HOPING there's still some options for custom AI battles though. Firefight had it's limitations but it was nice to be able to mess around with all the modifiers just to mess around.

Recent conan show showed off a production image of the new Pelican model. It seems a bit slimmer than the old version.
Maybe this is to avoid the silliness of having a cargo bay big enough for a tank to fit in that only seats ten guys?

Pelicans have always been gigantic.
I think they mentioned that people ussually didn't realize this was because of how few people are ussually carried in them, and limited field of vision/depth perception on most television screens. Every Halo fanboys dream for the last ten years!

I think what allot of people wanted to do was fly the Pelican around, chewing up people with vulcans and rockets, and then drop a team of marines/coop players down on some guys.
