Haha most people aren't that rich
If you look around you can (could) get decent entry-level multi-fx for a reasonable amount. I don't know what current prices are, but they definately used to be available for about the same price as a few video games/dvds etc for a multi-fx (obviously not one of the big professional jobs, but more than enough for practice etc).

Hi again!
@tyranuus: Don't know if you still remember me but i had to tell you that a got a spanish guitar (like an acoustic but without mics) to practice, I like it but i'd rather an electric one but since i got it loaned from a friend...... I use it just for practise so when I get my electric one I at least know how to play it :P.... I heard that playing an electric one is way easier than the spanish/acoustic one , but since i didn't play an electric one I don't know :P.... PS: Did i write practice ok?!?!..... My english spelling is crappy :P.... no wonder my primary language is Spanish XD.... then english and a bit less jap than eng :P..... Hope you understand my english XD |

Yeah, practice is correct
Spanish/Acoustic guitar is just different. Its quite similar to electric in some ways, so yeah it'll be good practice, at least in improving your finger movement. Then you can shift to an electric when you can My dad plays a 12 string acoustic, but he's still an electric man at heart, even now hes almost 60. I think ZZ Top says all you need to know on the pulling and staying power of the GEETAHHHH!!!

@Moogie
Definitely need work on timing, but all in all, good performance. Here's a cover for Fude Pen that I did a long time ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZbyFSyD_4c This is Sawa-chan's part aka Rhythm + some leads. Azusa has the mute/open alternates. I sucked at soloing so I had to redo it on another take. Also, I'm amazed how I made my crappy $150 guitar sound like that on Guitar Rig 3. Oh BTW I also did a TV size version of Cagayake! I like playing on overdrive (#2) it sounds more clean >.<!
I noticed that Yui has a 15W Marshall... if she thinks that is heavy I carry a 30W, which is not that heavy lol she is weak! I'm saving for a Gibson Les Paul Standard 2008 Heritage Cherry Sunburst Last edited by Afternoon Tea; 2010-03-22 at 00:32. |

She was probably day dreaming about something and didnt notice the weight, plus shes probably more used to carrying her keyboard and amp, which weigh a bit more than an average guitar
Either way Yui's shown a few times shes a little work shy haha The idea of trying to see some of them lifting 2x2 cabs etc just makes me laugh, some of the cabs will likely be bigger than them, especially Azusa

Just watched the first episode for K-On!! and there is an awesome solo rendition of "My Love Is A Stapler" played by Yui at the very start.
Can someone post the tabs or a link of the tabs for this version if they find it? Much appreciated! |
