So... Illya needs more appropriate clothing, Tanaka needs an identity, Kotomine needs to chill out, and Gil needs to stop being important in the story and DIE FOREVER AND NEVER COME BACK.
*coughs* Anyway. Still missing: One dark-skinned double who is probably in extreme danger in this place without Illya for Prana and with the Ainsworths who will probably kill her to get the card back; two mages who are probably in as much danger as any other ordinary person when there are overpowered sociopaths wandering around; and one Bazette who is probably fine. Gil thinks he knows Miyu's general location, although how Illya's going to rescue her without any powers of her own is a mystery we have yet to solve. I doubt Gil will help much, and I don't want him hanging around Illya more than necessary anyway.

HATE! Damned smug arrogant bastard who thinks he's better than everyone else. I've never liked him in any of his incarnations.
Most disturbing and unacceptable of all is the way they seem to have been playing ship-tease between him and Illya. THAT. WILL NOT. DO. I won't have it. Out with him.

Anyways no clue why anyone would hate Ko-Gil. He is nothing like the adult one. |

Oh he remembers Shirou, not this version but he remembers him. Given the whole dolls with the two known Ainsworths it is very likely they are homunculus. The Ainsworth also has a hidden castle. They also started the Grail War. While Miyu herself is Illya's AU counterpart I have a feeling the Ainsworth are the Einsberns counterpart. Oh being a possessive guy Gil doesn't like anybody messing with his stuff. Using his powers qualify. |

I cannot trust him. He may be able to help, but Gilgamesh always helps himself first and foremost. Assistance rendered to others is done solely in furtherance of his own goals or for the sake of his amusement. Anyway... Gil's existance is an oddity, that's for sure. Looking at the last page of chapter three it strikes me again how strange it is that he is able to exist separately while someone else is using the card that contains his powers. So, Illya, now would be the time for nice little girls who don't have any powers to put back on the convenient little invisibility thing you used to get there and wander off somewhere out of the line of fire.

This little Gil is different from the Gil we know though. He's not as nasty as his adult self, the worst aspects of his personalty have been toned down quite a bit. Gil definitely has his own goals in mind, but I don't think he is going to outright betray Illya.

So I take it that Gil wants his stuff back (or at least to be the only one to have access to his stuff). The young Gil is not usually an ass though, just when he;s grown up does he become insufferable.

From what I remember Servant do gain knowledge of the modern era but if they were previously summoned they loose memory of their previous summoning. Saber was an outlier. But here Gil definitely remembers Shirou's existence in FSN. That is why he looks so happy finding this universe's Shirou alive. |

Gil's knowledge of Shirou may have come through the same background information, but his reaction does seem a little more personal, doesn't it? Hmm...

There seems to be a difference between the usual summoned servants (Gil) and the dolls, wands, and magical girls that "include" the summoning card's powers.
That and there are still two Archer cards. Perhaps Gil's come into being when the other Archer card become a manifested clone of Illya? Or his is different. All the other cards had a spirit/servant in them, but only Gil escaped. Though there shouldn't be an eighth card normally.
