I suppose I should give everyone a primer about the drinking in Japan.
Officially you have to be 20 years old to purchase alchol and consume. Now for the unvarnished truth. It's absolute bullshit, when I was in Osaka university everyone was expected to drink if they are part of any sort of group. Be they seminar students associated with a professor or members of a sports club or even something as mild as the calligraphy circle and gaming circle. During my time as a member of the Aikido-bu, refusing to drink was a big big no no. It didn't matter if had no alchol tolerance, hated beer or was underage. You must drink. Alchol can be purchased practically every where, in vending machines, corner stores, restaurants and so on and not one of those places will ask your age. I mean we are talking about a country has a specialized set of words to describe how strong of a drinker a person is.

Yes, in most places the minimum age for drinking alcohol is about three years below the legal age.
Of course if people could cultivate saccharomyces cerevisiae in their gut then they wouldn't need to buy alcohol, they could just consume sugary food and drink and get drunk.

oh, and the typical British quote: "I'm getting pissed tonight!" would be ironic, considering drinking the urine of super drunk would be alcoholic. yay.

So DVD 1 is out today, and volume 6 of the manga is out on 22/02/08.
I wonder what's the extra. Quote:

Because so that he (she?) can take Sawaki away from all those gorgeous girls around him. After all, TRAPs are normally more attractive than real girls

Just finish the last episode of Moyashimon .... so sad... they ought to have second season for it! Even the microbes are "complaining" that they do not have enough screen time... Sigh...

this anime really gives you that WTF doesn't it? girl on girl, boy on boy, crossdressing you name it.
Had a look at some scans of the moyashimon manga, quite frankly I don't really like it. The bacteria don't look at cute and the manga feels alot different compared to the anime, just my 5 cents. I'm going to keep everything crossed for a 2nd season instead! |

The big problem with the manga (I just skimmed through volume 3 and 4) is that all girl look not as nearly good as in the anime (they all seems to me... man n drag ).
But probably the WTF factor of the manga is, if possible, bigger than in the anime. just an example (a pin-up) and is one of the best drawing I found http://img171.imageshack.us/img171/2...ited192yr5.jpg |
