I feel a little guilty about this, given what happened with Eva's vote totals from the A-01 match, but I'd love to use the Shana sig.

To my utter amazement, the most Japanese of all websites is located in Palo Alto, CA. Their ISP is NTT, which is Verio in the US. This is in one of Verio Palo Alto data center, no doubt. The name of the host server is "banana2828.maido3.com". HA. I even did several looking glass trace from major Japanese ISPs, and even they trace 2ch.net right back to California. Must be the cheaper bandwidth. Man the more you look more stuff you find. 2ch is hosted by a Website hosting reseller called Maido3.com. It seemed they got their "banana server" package, which offered 250GB of space and unlimited 10MB pipe for about $500 a month. It seemed they're only spending that much a month to run 2ch.net. It's not a bad deal, especially in the Japanese hosting market. Maido3 is the one having server in the US. 2ch dudes may not even know their server's right next to the gaijins they're busy banning for Saimoe. This info is quite useful for our Japanese customers.... Last edited by AVPlaya; 2007-08-09 at 18:31. |

Today's votes.
It was the pits having to decided between Mei and Isako. >_< ! Then again, both of my choices would probably end up being crushed. Oh, and good work on those sigs z3phyr.mp3

I may have one last ace up my sleeves... but I may need more time. Are there a lot of folks facing this issue? PM me and let me gauge the extend of the problem. 2ch is pissing me off... |

I don't see the coderesz.txt files being posted this year. These were files that listed all the valid voting posts in a format that looked like:
Spoiler:
Also, is someone breaking down votes by code endings this year? I assume that codes ending with X, Y, and Z are still votes from outside of Japan. (All my votecodes end with Y). Not positive, but I believe one reason 2ch is hosted outside Japan is to avoid impoundment/asset seizure. |

* Wilhelmina did well though she lost in the end.
* Mmm, it's ToHeart2, guess I'm not too surprised a high level Code Geass chara lost. * Oh Tomari won? Lower total votes than the other groups that day but mmm... well I'm not against this outcome indeed - both had their stats. Quote:
Spoiler:
Korean SaiMoe: Ok, so Round 2 begins: Spoiler:
Phew... large groups for Round 2 to really weed out the few remaining elites from everyone else.

For the record, I voted for Shana in last years match against Suiseiseki. But really, look at her records before the match
524(group 3, 1st)/6.74% -/- 712(block F, group 1)/55.07% 884(block F, group 2-1)/48.62% 1057(block F, semifinal 1)/55.12% 961(block F, final)/53.60% 1210(quarter final 1)/53.33% Compare to her opponent, Suiseiseki... 1181(group 11, 1st)/8.26% -/- 920(block D, group 1)/63.62% 775(block D, group 2-1)/63.37% 1046(block D, semifinal 1)/52.56% 1268(block D, final)/55.98% 1704(quarter final 2)/52.89% I personally think that the top 8 playoffs and the match leading to the top 8 (ie. the ones that have only 2 choices for the day) say less about the fanbase than the others. Reason being is because once you have only 2 choices, tactical voting, revenge voting, and hate voting becomes much more signifcant; so much so that it starts to overshadows the 'like' votes. I mean, what percentage of that 1.4k votes are Haruhi-ists trying to get back at Suiseiseki at their loss? (Yes, I was one too lol) So nope, I'm still aren't impressed with the Shana fanbase then, nor am I impressed now. Shana's just lucky her starting group wasn't very strong then, nor is it right now. Yes, there's a good chance that she'll win her group, but I'm still betting my money (*edit* make that a sheet of cardboad, lol forgot about that) on Nagi if she does indeed get to the finals.

Now that I got to see some votes, I guess I'll go...
Anya - Seeing as Cosette is going nowhere, voting for Anya makes things more interesting later in the round. Miki - Seeing as Blossom is also going nowhere, I'll go with her. Nagi - just because I don't like the other two shows.

lol, it may be so .
Actually there was an inadequacy of Saimoe staff, but counting votes was done correctly, so the result of 08/08 will not be corrected. Quote:
AFAIK, votes from outside of Japan are c, X and Y, but they also include votes from Japan. |
