It was one of the things that got kept when she got her intro moved forward compared with the manga. [As was skirt flipping Uiharu].

In general I think she did well out of the earlier introduction, and the nakama should be stronger for it though I wonder what part she's going to play in the chunk of plot before her intro in the manga.

Somehow I doubt it is going to be watching Misaka clean Tokiwadi's swimming pool.

She's the one in the middle of the top row between Touma's mother and Index.

  • Your acceleration/impact time of 100 milliseconds (0.1 s) is far too forgiving. I'd give it a maximum of 50 milliseconds (0.05 s), with actual time frames closing in on 10 ms.
Doing the calculations again:
Code:
Momentum of the coin:
P(co) = mv
P(co) = (0.01 kg) * (1,030 m/s)
P(co) = 10.3 kg-m/s; 10.3 N-s

Actual force applied by the coin on impact:
F(co) = [P(1) - P(0)] / t; Assuming the completely inelastic collision
F(co) = (10.3 N-s - 0 N-s) / 0.01 s; Assuming 0.01 s collision time
F(co) = 10.3 N-s / 0.01 s
F(co) = 1,030 N

Momentum of the car:
P(ca) = (1,500 kg) * (60 km/h); Assuming 60 km/h speed
P(ca) = (1,500 kg) * [(60 km / 1 h) * (1000 m / 1 km) * (1 h / 3600 s)]
P(ca) = (1,500 kg) * (16.6bar m/s); 16.6bar = 16.66666666... = 16.67
P(ca) = 25,000 kg-m/s; 25,000 N-s

Force needed by the coin to completely stop the car:
F(ca) = 25,000 N-s / 0.01 s; Assuming completely inelastic collision
F(ca) = 2,500,000 N
As we can see, the 1,030 N exerted by the coin is nowhere near the 2,500,000 N exerted by the car. However, this does not say that it will not have any effect on the car. As observed, the event could be classified as a completely inelastic collision -- the two bodies stick together after impact. This is evidenced by the car continuing along the same x direction as its original path, despite flying through the air. Computing for the final x velocity of the car + slug:
Code:
Assuming 180 degrees between vector heads:
v(x) = [P(co) + P(ca)] / [m(co) + m(ca)]
v(x) = (-10.3 kg-m/s + 25,000 kg-m/s) / (0.01 kg + 1,500 kg)
v(x) = (24,989.7 kg-m/s) / 1500.01 kg
v(x) = 16.65968894 m/s
Now I forgot what equations to use along with the angle of impact (~10 degrees from the horizontal) to simulate the car's flight after impact, but I'm gonna guess that most of those (flying through the air) are exaggerations -- or perhaps her rail gun slug speed is actually three times the speed of sound in water (1,482 m/s * 3 = 4,446 m/s)!
I love you!

No, I mean it.

If you've seen some of the shows I've seen, you'd appreciate how not annoying her voice is.

Try listening to Aoi's voice in Myself; Yourself, just to name one. And that's only the most recent show I've seen with an annoying voice......
Agree.
I love her voice too.

Thank you my brothers! I am humbled by your wisdom, and ashamed to misidentify that tall lady in the Misaka-ke trope! I will not commit this travesty of the Holy Tsundere ever again!

With a nice body too.... I'm a bit worried, Index had a development meanwhile Mikoto didn't , and they are the same age. I can see Mikoto in "that group" together with Tsukuyomi and Last Order

I noticed this when i was watching the first episode.

I'm surprise the studio put the No Smoking Sign in Korean too considering there were no Korean studios that were involve in the production of Railgun. Is the Korean written there accurate along with the Chinese?

PS. When will Ayako release a H264 version of ep1 since i prefer their subs instead of Mazui.

Huh, I never actually noticed that until now. That is unusual. I wonder why.....

And as far as I know, there's no word on Ayako doing an HQ of episode 1. (doesn't mean they won't, of course) Although I'm suprised Eclipse isn't picking Railgun up like they did Index. I guess maybe they were part of the bunch who didn't like Index?

Actually I believe that's Japanese in the red circle.

And English of course.

*scratches head* Maybe a sort of peace attempt? You know... with all of the buzz between these countries, the studios way of saying "not everybody hates you"?

... Or I'm reading too much into it.

Hmm, Japanese uses Chinese characters, because I can read (some of) it too (I'm not good with kanji ) and I don't know Chinese..........which I guess could mean it counts for both?
