Unless Vivio is actually Mordred, Arthur's only child and actually born from an incestuous act, it is hard for me to connect her to the whole Arturian Mythos.
It's not the Arturian Mythos (heck, that would mean the Belkan capital was on earth) it's simply Kha bringing F/SN over to the fanfic thread. This Saber is not the F/SN Saber.

Though she is pretty much a clone (pun intended) of her in personality and apperance.
True, Kha has never been the most... creative inserter when it comes to using inspiration.
I don't know how he does it, really. Every time I copy a character I lose motivation to write with them (which is why I hardly wrote any Rogue Squadron stuff, they're pretty much all copy/pasted).

Personal Background:
Her childhood is unremarkable neither of her parents were mages of any power (though both had some magical heritage in there backgrounds and other family members were and are mages.) As such it wasn’t too big of a surprise that Daisy ended up with some potential; although the amount is somewhat unusual. Her family life was well adjusted, but from an early age she showed little interest in much besides magic. She never really cared for or paid attention in school spending more time consuming fiction and news reports about various bureau mages exploits and subjecting herself to some pretty grueling conditioning then she did on her studies. Calling her a fan girl wouldn’t really be unfair, but unlike many such youths she also happened to have what it took to acutally “live the dream” as it were… Her parents weren’t adverse to the military career path and she clearly had potential so they acutally encouraged this to some extent
She joined early and her above average potential got her a place in the Air Force training pipeline and though her classroom work was lack luster her practical performance was outstanding and this managed to earn her a middling ranking in her class. Her in service performance has been good with her enthusiasm in particular appreciated; though it occasionally gets her in trouble as well. She has definite potential though and has progressed in mage ranks quickly since her induction at 14.
Personality:
One thing she has is a nearly unshackle belief in her own destiny and the rightness of her chosen path. This destiny largely revolves around some rather clichéd ideals of what a mage ought to be defender of the people, agent of justice, etc and since she obviously needs to be a bureau mage to do that hence her certainty in her chosen path. Thus far she’s not really encountered anything to shake this up much either.
Personality wise while not exactly feminine she’s not exactly tomboyish either she seems to move between the two sides at different times a rare and useful skill that allows her to fit into many types of crowds… this is an ability she’s sometimes prone to abuse though as she as penchant for trickery and teasing. She was quick to note that her idealist leanings annoyed Felix and now hams them up around him much to his annoyance and her enjoyment for instance. Other favorite past time include attempt to bait Makoto into traditionally feminine roles, praying on Alan’s defective dating gene, and dragging her friend Rose into various schemes she cooks up...
She also tends toward the direct and flashy approach to problem solving, one of her few redeeming traits according the Felix, this tends to involve maximum firepower and minimal subtly. Sometimes this works… sometimes not so much, but she seems happy regardless as long as she gets to blow things up. Some people worry about this fact a bit especially given how she sometimes breaks into manic giggling after a practically satisfying destructive act.
Powers and Skills:
As the above might indicate Daisy favors a strong offense at the expense of pretty much any defense. On the plus side this focus has given her impressive firepower for her level, but it’s developed into a serious case of “hammer in an egg shell” syndrome as her defense is rather weak. (more like non-existent) She makes up for that a bit with decent speed and a few tricks but the fact is she really needs someone to tank for her to truly be at her best. That someone is normally Rose and to a large extent both of their styles have become dependant on each other to work. One of her best features is her stamina as she can keep casting most spells fairly often for a considerable period.
Device: Thunderbolt (despite having nothing to due with electricity, but hey it sounded cool and that’s what matters.) Type: Intelligent Device Form: Metal Quarter Staff and Generic Wizardry Tome. Notes:
The staff is mostly there as a last resort close combat weapon with the book portion being responsible for most casting and containing her devices intelligence. Its personality is male, but otherwise rather similar in temperament to its master. It’s a fairly unremarkable device overall.
Barrier Jacket:
She above as a fan girl of coruse her jacket HAD resemble a school uniform… though it also comes with an overcoat that looks rather like a cliché witches cloak only white, no pointy hat though. She’ll often ditch the cloak as well for the slight increase in speed. The jacket as you might guess by looking at it is pretty light weight which helps her move around quickly, but only furthers her defensive weakness (more so when she ditches the cloak).
Spells (In progress): Offensive: Long Range Single Target Beam:
This is a fairly simple spell she fires a beam of magical energy at the target said beams smacks into target and hopefully blows it up real good. Her standard spam spell it has good reach and can be scaled from fairly rapid fire up to something that can do some serious property damage at the expense of higher energy and longer casting time.
Multi-Shot Beam:
Much like the above only she can fire from three to six beams in a salvo with a corresponding increase in the mana cost (though the simultaneous casting makes this considerably faster then firing an equal number of the above) not really that useful for point targets it’s normally used to lay down “suppressing fire” over an area or spam multiple weak targets.
Converging Multi-Beam shot:
Similar to above expect these are classic anime “bendy beams” which she can control to converge onto a single target of chase multiple ones. This can be rather useful on a single target allowing a powerful strike form multiple angles, but it takes considerably more mana and time to cast as a result of the add complexity of the homing feature.
Magic Cluster Bomb:
A sort of “Magic Cluster Bomb” the spell launches a single large bolt that when it reaches a set point or she wills explodes into a shower of smaller bolts all directed downward in an effect something like magical steel rain… The number of “sub-munitions” can be varied with smaller numbers having greater punch, but obviously affecting a smaller area.
Spoiler for Rose:
Name: Rose Bush Other names: Age: 17 Birthday: July 6th Height: 5’5 Weight: 120 Pounds Eye color: Brown Hair color: Brown Origin: Mid-Childa
Mage Rank: A+ Magic Type: Mid-Childa Magic Color: Red Element Preference: Air Affiliation: TSAB Air Force Position/rank in TSAB: Private First Class
Personal Background:
Rose was born on and is technically a resident of Mid though she spent little time on the planet her parents where both mages though they preferred marching to the beat of there own drum and did freelance work of pretty much every sort one could think of. It would also be fair to say they were a tad eccentric for instance her name was chosen largely on a whim when they noted the presence of her namesake plant growing near the hospital she was born in and thought it would be funny.
Things like this marked her childhood with her parents often acting more like irresponsible siblings then actual parents. In what could be a pretty slam dunk case of nature over nurture though Rose grew into a fairly responsible young woman that generally valued order and structure in her life. This was something her heretic life with her parents provided rather little of and it was largely why she decided to join the military. She loves her parents, but living with them… not so much. Easy going as always her parents supported the decisions even if they didn’t really understand how she could tolerate all that stuffiness.
Thus they went there separate ways they see each other from time to time whenever her folks touch base from whatever wandering adventure they’ve been on, but she’s now largely independent and happy to keep those visits fairly short.
She fell in with Daisy during basic training when they roomed together Daisy liked her because she could copy off her work and push her in front of incoming fire. Rose… well Rose sort of got the short end of that stick though her offensive was very weak and Daisy’s quite strong so they did make a good team from a practical standpoint. Still Daisy wasn’t that bad and she did make efforts to get along with her and being her first real friend (her transit childhood precluded many serious peer relationships) they became quite close.
Personality:
As noted Rose is a fairly traditional and orderly person though calling her stuffy or uptight wouldn’t really be fair. Plus living with her parents for most of her youth has given her a healthy tolerance for eccentricity even if it dose exacerbate her at times. She’s quite competent and hard working and so tends to be well liked by her superiors at least when Rose isn’t luring her into some scheme of questionable repute. That said she’s sometimes more complicit in these activities then she’d really admit and she’s burned Daisy nearly as many times as the former has burned her.
Powers and Abilities:
Rose specializes in defensive support spells making her a rather effective tank herself and helping toughen others on her team as well. She started learning this skills at a early age when he parents in cases of borderline child endangerment would drag her along with them on sometimes almost comically dangerous outings. Thanks to having some very strong motivations she learned to raise her first barrier at the age of about five and got progressively more turtle’ish from there. By the time of her enlistment she was extremely defensive oriented as her parents handled most offense while she merely tried to stay out of the way and safe in the ensuing mayhem.
This meant that while she was very hard to hurt she didn’t hurt back very well either so she needed offensively oriented support to be effective. This was one of the main forces driving her tolerance of Daisy before they started to really get along.
In combat she herself acutally tends to try and find somewhere to lay low while providing defensive support from concealment as the less she has to defend herself the more she can assist in toughening up her allies. That said if the situation demands she step forward and tank more actively she’s entirely capable of the task.
Barrier Jacket:
Her Standard jacket is a compromise between speed and protection it sports heavy plating along the torso and shoulders but much more limited protection of the limbs. In a secondary full armor mode hardened plates cover pretty much her entire body and provide heavy protection at the expense of rather ponderous speed. Both forms have a helemet the standard helmet is open at the front, but covers most of the rest of her head; while the second covers her entire head as it includes a visor and heavier neck protection.
The plates are olive in color while the rest of the Jacket is muddled tones of brown and green. Lower profile then many jackets again by design as hiding while providing support is a common tactic for her.
Spells:
Defensive:
Most of Rose’s defensive spells are fairly standard expect for the fact she’s able to deploy many of them at a considerable distance. This allows her to protect other people without having to expose herself. That said most of these spells can also be cast on herself and without the added factor of distance are quite powerful allowing her considerable resilience in combat.
Distant Protection: Effectively a standard protection spell but one that can be deployed at a distance if need be; when deployed on herself it’s much the same, but considerably tougher.
Offensive:
As noted Rose has very limited offensive options due to a heavy specialization on defense. A number of her “attacks” are really closer to active defenses designed to counter others spells, but that can also possibly be used for some limited offense themselves.
Scatter Shooter: Creates a large number of low power guided projectiles. These are almost useless against barriers and even bare barrier jackets the spells main purpose is to intercept and disrupt other spells. The weak power allows many too be fired and guided at once with the aim being to just powerfulenough to disrupt the targeted spells without overkill or undue strain.
Support Spells: Barrier Reinforcement: A fairly simply spell that allows her to transfer her own energy into another person barrier spells thus reinforcing them significantly.
Projectile Deflection: A spell that can be used to scatter and force off coruse homing projectiles takes the form of a very strong wind. How it’s used can vary it can come straight ahead and attempt to acutally slow and stop the projectiles or come in at engages and attempt to force them off coruse. On the other hand deployed behind friendly projectiles it can acutally increase there speed by pushing them along.
Guidance Spoofing: This spell acutally attempts to take over control or at least disrupt the control of a another mage on projectiles they’ve fired. This requires the shot be guided and thus under some form of control (thus dumb rounds and most beams are immune). Being able to acutally rest control of a spell is rare, but the attempt has a sort of ECM jamming like effect that degrades its guidance and often causes misses.
Signature Enchantment: This spell acutally increases her size as a target for guided projectiles and attempts to lure in any sort of homing projectiles so she can tank them instead of other team members.
A DPS/Tank combi, huh? They're fairly ... normal for the lack of a better word, in terms of history and abillities, which makes me wonder what you are planning to use them for?

Like Sheba said, thread needs more average Joes.
Though the Signature Enchantment got me laughing, if only for reminding me of Tais' Giant Form and subsequent antics. Xp

I've done Erio's parts where he is walking around the Ghostlands with his meister. We' have snapshots of Subaru and Teana doing their test, but only little pieces here and there. Serena and Allison's squads are proving a little harder to move around with, as I know next to nothing about Serena.
So Aaron, what is Serena doing during StrikerS Episode 1? Or do I have a free hand?

Spoiler for Takamachi Vivio ver. Ghaz:
Name: Takamachi Vivio
Affiliation: TSAB
Rank: Cadet (Acting Private of Riot Force 6)
Mage Rank: A+
Age: 12 (6 years Post StrikerS)
Gender: Female
Hair Colour: Blond
Personality: Friends for life sometimes has a negative affect, depending on the point of view. Having spent a fair portion of her time with Syn Virage, she has somewhat picked up on her brunt language, albeit to a lesser degree compared to Syn. She can be sarcastic, but downright rude she has never been, most likely due to her upbringing with Takamachi Nanoha and Fate.
She’s often seen hanging around Syn, where it can be noted that she displays a certain level of affection towards her. However, how deep and the nature of the affection is indeterminate.
Magic Type: Belka
Magic Colour: White
Assignment: Hammer 04 of Riot Force 6, under the command of Captain Reddo Farukon
History
*Compilation is still in progress*
Appearance/Knight Armour/Rüstung Heiligen
Note: The staff, she is carrying is not part of the battle system.
Spoiler for ”Vivio’s appearance”:
Knight Armour
When deployed, it is a variation of Raising Heart Barrier Jacket Aggressive Mode. The under shirt is black with blue trimmings, armour bindings on her upper arm, metal plates attached to her waists with gold trimming, a black band around her right thigh, and black socks that reach up only a 3rd up her lower leg. Also, Himmel-Tänzer is deployed on her hands.
Rüstung Heiligen (Saint’s Armour)
-Refer to Spells Section for full explanation of Rüstung Heiligen
Device
Device Name: Himmel-Tänzer (Sky Dancer)
Weapon Type: Battle Enhancement System (BES)
System: Belka Armed Device
Storage Form: Sapphire gems attached to a necklace
Himmel-Tänzer is the twin model of an identical BES unit, designated Kyouka. When deployed, both units take on the form of black gloves with gems on the back of the hands; Himmel-Tänzer being sapphire, whereas Kyouka is ruby. However, from there their programming derives, as they were programmed with different operating systems.
Himmel-Tänzer is programmed in the more ancient methods of Belkan magic. Although built by TSAB officers, when Vivio had activated the unit, her unique physiology provided a means as to reformat and somewhat redesign the unit, resulting it in resembling closer to ancient Belkan designs. The result is that it processes and responds in-kind, resulting in it speaking in the Belkan language.
In terms of combat, Himmel-Tänzer’s purpose is to augment Vivio’s close combat prowess, increasing her attack strength and power. Himmel-Tänzer’s secondary function is also to act as a means to regulate Vivio’s power, limiting her output if she exceeds what her body can handle, especially due to her small age. Himmel-Tänzer also provides Vivio her Knight Armour, in place of the Armour that she inherently possess, as to reduce the strain on her Linker Core.
Combat Style
Due to the more offensive nature of both Rüstung Heiligen and Himmel-Tänzer, she is also a close-combat melee fighter, using her body as her weapon. Coupled with both the armour and her device, it is believed that given with age, time, and further training to further refine her combat skills, she may become a fearsome foe to face, especially in close combat, if she cannot be taken down at range.
Spells
Grosse Knall-Faust (Big Bang Fist): One of Vivio’s most destructive assault spells. The user charges a tremendous amount of energy into one point at the front of the fist until the spell reaches a desired level of power, or until the spell reaches its critical point, which is dictated by the level of control, experience, and power of the user. Once the attack has reached desired power levels, the user will drive their fist into the ground, and unleash their hold on compressing the energy. The resultant release creates a domed shockwave. Despite damage inflicted upon mage targets vary from their own powers, and the amount of power placed into the attack, it has been determined it has a strong tendency of throwing anything within its range into a state of array, in an attempt to regain their senses, due to the disorientation often associated with a large burst of power.
Note:
- Due to the excessive power often required, it is considered an S+ skill, requiring a limiter-break before usage is permitted.
Eisen Wird (Iron Will): A personal enhancement spell. When cast, the spell will reinforce the users forearms, hands, and lower legs with an enchantment field, temporarily granting the user near iron-strength durability, protecting the cast areas from harm due to most physical attacks, while providing maximum defence, and strength to the attacks, due to the Iron-like properties of the spell, which include simulation of the density, and the paint received from hitting and inflicted when hit.
Rüstung Heiligen (Saint’s Armour): A passive armour spell that can be wilfully activated. Also, due to the fact that the armour is a power that is inherent within Vivio’s DNA, it is postulated that the need for maintenance will be only based on Vivio’s health, and that it is possible for her to pass on the skill to any offspring she may bear later in her life.
Passive Mode:
- Passively, the simplest way to explain Rüstung Heiligen’s power is to say Vivio is the ‘ultimate’ tank. From data gathered from Jail Scaglietti’s lab, it has been speculated and proven that even when passively active, the Rüstung Heiligen will protect her from any and all attacks directed at her, due to her unique physiology.
Offence Mode:
- When activated, the Rüstung Heiligen deploys into the same Knight Armour Vivio wears when using Himmel-Tänzer, however, her physical age does not accelerate into the teenage form, as prior reports had postulated. Rather, the armour’s shape and from changes as Vivio grows. Also to note, she uses this form on a limited basis, possibly due to experiences during the Cradle Incident. Despite the fact it has been noted she has a strong dislike, possibly hatred towards her powers, it is believed she will use such powers if the situation calls for it.
Himmlisches Schild (Heavenly Shield): A shield spell. When cast the user projects a straight-line shield between two objects, usually between buildings, with the height varying, depending on the amount of power placed into the spell.
Schirmherrschaft Heiligen (Saint’s Aegis): A wide-area shield spell. Requiring the user to remain rooted on the spot, the caster is able to cast a shield with a 10 meter radius, large enough to defend two squads. However, due to the amount of power presently required maintaining the shield longer than 5 minutes would require a ranking of A+ or greater, due to the strain placed upon the caster.
Ah yes, I remember this now. Not doing too bad so far. More importantly, I can't see any obvious haxx or anything like that.

Weight: 110 pounds
Hair and Eye color: See Photo Origin: Mid-Childa
Mage Rank: AA-
Magic Type: Mid-Childa
Magic Color: White
Element Preference: None
Affiliation: TSAB Air Force
Position/rank in TSAB: Private First Class
Heh, you come back, and first thing you do is throw a pair of normal characters at us.
Not a bad idea, we don't have many "I'm just a normal person" characters around here. Hmmm, one powerhouse, and one tank. Seems like a good combo.

Location: Warden District Command Facility, near Rhodesia City, Gaelica
Date: June 15th, Mid-Year 0075
Time: 0430 MST (Local Equivalent)
It’s said that the frontier is built on legends – tall tales that help us make sense of things too great, or too terrifying to believe.
This is the legend of the Lord of Dunamists.
In the dark night, just a few hundred yards outside of the concrete walls of the Warden facility, a group of figures gathered in the shadows. There were seven of them: four men and three women. Once gathered, the figures began to talk.
“Alright,” the red-haired woman began, “now that everyone’s here, we can go over the plan one last time.”
“Indeed,” a white-haired man intoned.
“Okay, the plan goes like this.” A bespectacled silver-haired man spoke. “Songstress and Emperor will strike first, and hit the facility’s communications array. Simultaneously, Huntress will take down the security guards on the wall nearest the armory, where she, Twilight, and I will then proceed to the armory. Provided that the three of us can hold the armory for enough time, we will give the go-ahead for stage two. Once that’s done, we’ll get out as fast as we can, and make for the city. We can split up and hide among the crowd. Everyone understand?”
The mentioned figures nodded. A blue-haired young man spoke to the pair not directly involved in the operation.
“When we’re certain that we’ve shaken off any pursuit, and once we’re all gathered, we’ll call for pickup. Okay?”
The shorter of the two figures nodded. “Right. We’ll be waiting.”
That said, the pair disappeared into the depths of the forest. The young man turned to the remaining quartet.
“Songstress and I will move into position. We’ll wait for the first shot as our signal to commence our assault on the com tower.”
That done, the group split in two and they headed off in separate directions. Moving quietly through the forest, no words were exchanged between any of the figures. On one side of the compound, the pair of figures climbed a tree, looking towards the guard towers closest to the armory, searching for the distinctive flash that would mark the beginning of the operation. A blonde-haired girl turned to the blue-haired man.
“You think we can pull this all off?”
“If we do, we’ll gain valuable tools for our cause. And if not, there’s always other places we can strike.”
At another edge of the compound, the trio of figures were discussing the raid.
“You do realize that we’ll only get one chance at this?” a blue-violet haired woman said to her two male compatriots.
“Yes, but we’ve been planning this for weeks,” a black-haired man responded. “If we can’t do it now, then there’s little probability that we’d be able to do it at all.”
“True enough.” The woman turned to the other male. “Is it time?”
“Just about,” he responded. “Another minute, and then we can go.”
The three remained silent. Then the silver haired man nodded to the woman.
“Okay. Let’s go.”
The woman was then boosted into a nearby tree by the black-haired man, where she steadied a crossbow in both hands. Steady now, she thought. Sighting along the barrel, she took aim at the sentry in the first of three guard towers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sentry standing in the guard tower saw a brief flash, but thought nothing of it until a bright-colored energy bolt slammed into him, knocking him out.
Two more bolts flew out from the cover of the forest, similarly disabling the other two sentries before either could raise the alarm.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Okay,” the woman called. “Targets down.”
“Right, up and over then,” the silver-haired man responded.
The woman grabbed on to the black-haired man, and the three flew over the wall, and headed for the armory.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On another side of the compound, the pair of figures saw the flashes.
“That’s our signal,” the man said. “Time to play decoy.”
“Roger,” the girl responded, hefting her staff. The pair flew into the air, and she pointed it at the com array. A half dozen shots formed around her, and lanced out, blowing up the tower in a brilliant explosion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Location: Warden Command Center
Time: 0512 MST (Local Equivalent)
“Sir, the com tower just went down!” Someone shouted to the officer on duty.
“Get a squad out there to fix it ASAP!”
“Sir,” another one called, “there’s no response from the sentries on Wall 5!”
“Send someone to check on them!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Location: Near the Com Tower, Warden Facility
Five technicians approached the tower. They were about thirty yards from it when the world around them exploded. Two technicians went down before they even had a chance to react. The other three took cover behind a nearby wall. One chanced a glance around the corner, only for the ground near his foot to explode. “Attention, Attention, Command. This is Tech Unit 6. We are currently under fire…”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Location: Sentry Towers, Wall Five
As the group of four security guards approached the towers, they kept their guard up, checking around them. Closing on the first tower, the rear guard turned away for just a moment to check on the others, only to turn back just in time to see the black-haired man materialize out of thin air, and hit him with a large two-handed sword. The guard fell backwards onto the one next to him in line, temporarily taking him out of action. The second guard took aim and fired, but a green shield suddenly appeared in front of the sword-wielder, blocking the shot. Then, a shot collided with the guard, hitting him in the torso. The front guard attempted a melee strike, but the sword carrier summoned a shield, and when the guard’s swing connected with it, a jolt of electricity coursed through his body, knocking him out. The last guard tried to get up, but was taken out with a simple fist to face.
Location: Command Center
“Sir, report from the technical squad! They’re under fire and unable to approach the com tower! Immediate request for backup!”
“Send Security Squads Twelve and Fifteen to the tower! And put the entire base on alert! We’re under attack!”
“Sir, no response from Security Squad Twenty-three! I can’t raise them on the channel!”
“Warden, what’s near Wall Five?”
“Closest critical structure to the wall is the armory, sir.”
“The ARMORY?! Dispatch Security Squads Three, Seven, Eleven, and Nineteen to the Armory ASAP!”
Location: The Com Tower
Once the Security squads arrived at the technician’s position, they poured fire on the position of the two intruders, forcing them to retreat to the interior of the tower. As the girl continued to rain fire upon the advancing Wardens, the man contacted his comrades.
“Joker, Joker, this is Emperor. Position under assault, I repeat, position under assault. If you’re going to make your move, make it now.”
Location: Base Armory
“Emperor, this is Twilight. We are currently securing the objective, repeat, we are securing the objective. Hold for confirmation.” The black-haired man with the sword responded, as three more shots flew past the weapons rack where he was currently sheltered. The woman, covered by another weapons rack across a divide, raised her crossbow and let off two shots, downing another Warden. Twilight turned to his male compatriot, and asked,
“Are we good? Can we give the go-ahead?”
“Just a moment,” the silver-haired man responded. Throwing a glance towards the armory entrance, he spoke over the com.
“This is Joker. Initiate stage two, I repeat, initiate stage two.”

“Copy that, Joker. This is Emperor, initiating stage two.” The blue-haired man responded. He turned to his blonde comrade. “Let’s get out of here. But first…” The man turned to the com array control panel, and hefted the bladed mace in his right hand.
“Mercurius.”
[Yes, Boss. Rumble Smasher.]
A bright light shone around the mace, and Emperor brought it down on the control panel, totaling it. That done, the pair dashed through one of the doors, and headed for the roof.

Having received Emperor’s reply, Joker turned to Twilight.
“They’re on their way.”
“That’s great,” the woman shouted, “but I could use some help here!”
Joker hefted his staff, and replied, “Let’s play with their heads…”
Just outside, the remaining seven of the sixteen Wardens clustered against the partially opened armory door. When firing from the inside stopped, it was nothing new – the intruders inside had done it before, only to open up again when a Warden poked his head around the corner. This time, however, it was different – no shot bullseyed the Warden who dared to look in. Covered by his comrades, the seven Wardens stormed the armory. Moving quickly, the Wardens covered the whole area, only to find no trace of the intruders.
“What in hell…?” One Warden asked, only to see – and hear – the sound of the armory door slamming shut. The next thing they heard was a chilling, mocking laugh. The heads of the Wardens whipped around, looking for the source.
“Who are you? What do you want?” One Warden shouted. There was no reply except the laugh again. A younger Warden lost his nerve, and began firing randomly. The Warden next to him restrained him. “Don’t shoot in here – you could blow the whole place up!”
While the Wardens were dealing with their frantic junior, a shot came out of nowhere, and split into six smaller shots. They hit four of the Wardens, knocking them out. Turning in the direction of the shot, the Wardens were hit from behind with another shot. The two Wardens still standing took refuge behind a weapons rack, and tried to find the source of the attackers. After a few moments, they heard a voice.
“Excuse me.”
The silver-haired man materialized, and pointed his staff at the Wardens.
“Drop your weapons, and we’ll settle for…relieving your of consciousness, rather than your lives.”
The Wardens pointed their weapons at him, only for one to feel the barrel of a crossbow pressed against the side of his head, and the other to feel a sword against him. Their guns clattered to the ground, and they were, as promised, knocked out.

Inside, the pair of intruders slowly moved along the halls. The blonde spoke to her partner.
“Where is it we’re looking for again?” she whispered.
“The central computer, if possible,” he responded. “But, if we can’t make it there, then we’re supposed to go for the computer with all the data on…” he checked a small display he’d strapped to his wrist. “the projects that involve magic-powered weapons systems.”
“Gotcha.”
A pause.
“Do we even know where that is?”
“Sure, it’s…uhh…crap. We never took this into account.”
“Well,” the girl sighed, “let’s just hope we can get to the central computer.”
Proceeding further down the hallway, Emperor held up his hand for silence. Plastering themselves to the wall, they inched towards the corner. Emperor chanced a peek around the corner, only to see a pair of sentries coming towards them. Giving the hand signal for “two enemies approaching,” the blonde girl sidled up to him, ready to strike. As the sentries began to turn the corner, Emperor hit the closer one with the butt of his mace, while the girl whacked the far one in the face with her staff. The sentries collapsed to the ground. Picking up their bodies, the girl had an idea.
“Hey, why don’t we borrow their uniforms? Means we wouldn’t have to sneak around like this.”
Emperor nodded, and the two disappeared in different directions for a moment. They soon came back, wearing the uniforms of the sentries.
“Good idea you had,” Emperor said.
“Yeah,” the girl replied, “but…this is a little small.”
Her companion noticed distinctive…bulges in her uniform. This is no time for indecent thoughts, he told himself. Focus on the job.
“Let’s go.”
Spoiler for Episode 1, Part B:
Location: Base Armory
Having restrained the Wardens, the trio of intruders had moved to the back of the armory, or more specifically, the data access room. While the swordsman stood guard, the woman and silver-haired man worked the computers.
“Got something,” the woman called. Swiveling in the chair, Joker turned to her.
“What is it?”
“Looks like the armory lists for all the Warden bases in this district.”
“What’s it have?”
“Everything – weapon types, numbers, passcodes, the works.”
“Get it,” he called. “Might put it to use later.”
“Hey,” he called to the black-haired swordsman, “check on our two friends.”

“We’re almost there,” the girl responded. “Just a minute or two, and we’ll be there.”
Still headed towards the central computer, the pair passed by several sets of guards and researchers. As the girl had said, about two minutes later, they arrived at the central computer.
The computer room itself was behind three sets of doors, the only way in – the rest of the room was surrounded by successive layers of armor. At the outermost door, Emperor pressed on what appeared to be an intercom button. Soon after, a voice flowed out of a grille located above the button.
“What is it?”
“We’ve got the data thingy you requested,” he answered, trying deliberately to be as vague as possible. A moment passed. Did I just make a mistake…? The voice of the man inside came back.
“All right, we’re opening the doors. Come on inside.”
The doors opened successively, and both infiltrators slipped inside. The researcher looked up.
“Hey, there’s not supposed to be two of you –” he was interrupted by a fist to the face, sending him to the floor. He looked up, only to have the mace shoved in his face.
“Shut up. Stay right there. You try and touch anything that vaguely resembles an alarm switch, and you’ll regret it.” He turned to his partner. “Get the data.”
The girl moved to a terminal out of sight of the door, and plugged something into a port.
“Data is downloading – I gave priority to what you mentioned earlier.”
“Got it.”
A few minutes passed, with nothing but the humming of the computer banks to occupy them. Then, a tone echoed in the room. The girl moved over to the computer, and switched the data storage device. It took three (and a half) of said devices, but finally, it was done. Unplugging the last device, the girl turned to her partner, and said.
“We’ve got it all.” Her partner nodded, then laid the researcher out with a straight left to the face. “Let’s go.”
Headed through the sets of doors, the man spoke to his comrades in the armory. “We’ve got the data – headed to extraction.”

“Copy that,” the woman acknowledged. “We’re almost finished here – meet you in the city.” She turned to Joker. “You done?”
“Yes. You?”
“Finished.”
“Then let’s get out of here.”
Meeting up with the swordsman, the three proceeded out of the armory, and headed towards the wall.
The two groups joined up at Wall Five, and then took off, headed for the city. A sharp-eyed sentry, however, spotted the group, and opened fire. The shot missed, but the alarm had been raised again, and now the chase was on. Two minutes after the sentry’s shot, a dozen Wardens on Sky Cycles took off from the facility, in hot pursuit of the intruders.
“Come on!” the silver-haired man shouted. “We’ve got to make it to the city before they catch up!”

The intruders DID manage to reach the city before the Wardens caught up, however, it became evident that there was no way for them to avoid a fight.
The blonde girl cast a spell on the woman, giving her wings at her ankles.
“That should last ten to twenty minutes,” she said.
“Everyone scatter!” the swordsman shouted. “Here they come!”
They did so, preparing for battle.
The twelve Wardens split into six pairs, and scattered, with each pair per intruder, and two for Emperor.
The silver-haired man and the woman put themselves back-to-back as the two pairs after them circled around them. They took shots at the pair, but those were spoiled by a quartet of mobile shields summoned by the silver-haired man. The woman with the crossbow returned fire, sending bolts of magical energy into the drive systems of their Sky Cycles.
Across the way, the swordsman was dealing with his quartet of would-be captors in a much more direct way. He had already sliced off the front of one Warden’s Sky Cycle, and now was in hot pursuit of another. The other two Wardens came in from behind, their guns blazing. The swordsman whipped around, and the blade slammed out a cartridge. A shield appeared in front of him, and the shots collided with it. A second or two later, however, a large ball of magical energy lanced out of the shield and nicked one of the Sky Cycles, disabling it. The man simply held out his sword as the other cycle went by, and the Warden abandoned it as the cycle was bisected. The cycle cruised a few more yards, then exploded in a brilliant fireball. The last Warden wheeled around, and charged the swordsman. As the swordsman turned, he brought his sword down in a vertical swing, a yellow wave of energy coming off of it. The Warden braced for impact, but the wave simply dissipated when it hit. However, yellow rings soon appeared around him, preventing him from moving. Unable to steer, the Sky Cycle crashed to the ground.
Elsewhere, the blonde girl was dealing with her targets. She had already downed two of her targets, and now was dealing with her remaining pair. A Warden fired a single shot at her. The staff in the girl’s hands chimed, and the top half of the staff was covered in a barrier of magical energy. She swung the staff like a baseball bat, hitting the shot into the other Warden’s Sky Cycle. Swinging her staff in an arc, the barrier around it collected at the tip, and lanced out, hitting the last Sky Cycle.
Now free, the other four intruders assisted Emperor in dealing with the last three targets, who were no match for their coordination and combined abilities.
“Split up,” Emperor ordered, “don’t get caught. Get to whatever pickup point you can.”
The intruders rocketed away in separate directions.
The silver-haired man and blue-violet haired woman touched down in an alleyway near the hospital sector of the city. A flash, and they strolled out onto the street, side by side. They headed away from the hospital, and towards another part of the city. After a half hour of walking, they took a left, and headed into another alley. They checked for observers – none.
“Command, this is Huntress,” the woman reported. “Joker and I are waiting at pickup point Bravo. Repeat, pickup point Bravo.”
A few minutes later, a white-haired figure appeared. “Come on – time to go.” Joker and Huntress stood next to him, and all three disappeared in a flash of light.

After the split, the black-haired swordsman touched down in a…rougher part of the city.
Going a few blocks, the man put a hand to his ear. “Command, this is Twilight. I am at pickup point Dog, repeat, pickup point Dog.”
Again, after a few minutes, the white-haired man appeared, and the pair of figures disappeared in a flash.

Touching down in an alleyway, the blue-haired young man and the blonde girl’s outfits flashed, and then they were dressed in casual clothes. The girl smiled, wrapped her arm around the young man’s arm, and the two strolled out onto the street. People smiled at the obviously happy couple as they went by. Walking through the nightlife district, it was nearly an hour before they ducked into another alley. The young man put a hand to his ear. “Command, this is Emperor and Songstress. We’re waiting at pickup point Able, repeat, pickup point Able.”
The pickup sequence was repeated one last time.

A flash illuminated the area, and the white haired man appeared with Emperor and Songstress. Moving into another room, the other occupants looked up.
“You guys fine?” The woman asked. They both nodded, and then the girl went thru the pockets of her clothes, producing the data storage devices.
“You got all of the data?”
“It should all be there,” Emperor responded.
“Excellent,” Joker said. “That means we got it all – pulled off the entire raid.”
“So we did,” the white-haired man mused. “Now that we have everything we sought, we can finally begin our plans…isn’t that right?” He smirked, looking over his shoulder at a seated figure.
“Yes,” a red-haired woman said. “That’s right. We can finally begin to reclaim what was denied us…”
“…four years ago.”
That was quite a "Mission Impossible" they pulled

Spoiler for MGLN Riot Force 6:
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanona Riot Force 6 Chapter II Surprise Spar
He couldn’t believe it. He just couldn’t believe it. Standing right there on the other side of the bridge were the three greatest aces known in history! And what was more, when he and Farukon were close enough, he could clearly see the rank of Major was adorned on their lapels, as indicated by the golden shield. He had a feeling that he was going to have a hellish morning.
“Yo,” Farukon happily greeted the three.
“Yo,” Keroko greeted back.
“Good morning, Farukon,” Nanoha replied.
“Good morning,” said Fate.
Coming to a stop before all three, Farukon saluted them for himself and Hayato immediately, with Keroko responding for the three of them. Hayato was pretty much speechless. If anything, he probably was going to end up having a gruelling training session; possibly a hidden aspect of his punishment. He was in for hell; that much he knew.
“Well I brought him, so can we get started?” Farukon stated, anticipation laced heavily in his voice.
“Calm down, calm down,” Keroko jovially stated, as she approached Hayato, who could still just dumbly stare at them. Keroko took a moment to simply look over the boy.
“Anyways,” Farukon coughed out. “PFC, I understand you have a device of your own?”
“Oh, uh…yes sir,” Hayato quickly replied back. A rather uncomfortable pause followed his answer. The four of them stared at him for some time, as if waiting for something. What for, Hayato was unsure of.
“Uh…PFC, let’s see it,” said Farukon, giving Hayato a curious look as to why he was just standing there, looking quite dumb, for a lack of a better word.
“Oh, sorry,” Hayato stuttered, sheepishly pulling out the pistol-shaped device from the holster on his back and presented it. Hayato watched as Keroko picked up his device, and gave it a thorough look-over, turning it over and over in her hand, as she examined the device from all angles, even to the point she opened the chamber, unloaded and loaded the clip that was in the handgrip, and even armed the device before releasing the hammer again.
“A range fighter?” Farukon asked, raising his eyebrow in surprise. “I thought we were supposed to be testing a close combat kid.”
“He is a close combat fighter,” Nanoha stated. Waving her hand, a screen appeared, and began typing on it while Keroko returned Hayato his device.
“So PFC what exactly can you do with that?” Farukon asked, curious as to what Hayato could do with just one pistol.
“Keroko-chan, do you want to take this one?” Nanoha offered, as the island suddenly became a forest. Somewhat caught off guard, Hayato stared at his surroundings in momentary wonder, before being pulled from his reverie by Keroko.
“Catch,” Keroko said as she tossed a magazine clip towards Hayato.
Catching the clip, he looked at it momentarily before realizing that it was the same type of clip that he used for his device. Looking towards Keroko, he gave her a curious look.
“Those are low powered stun rounds,” Keroko explained as she slid into a basic battle stance. “Your mission is to try and hit me once with those rounds. Give me everything you got.”
“Ma’am?!” Hayato sputtered, having not expected such an order.
“Do it, PFC,” Keroko firmly stated.
Realizing that it was an order and not wanting another reprimand, Hayato quickly subbed out the clip in his device for the new one, formed a magical ball in his hand before tossing it up into the air and charged forward. Aligning his gun mid-charge, he fired a shot, only to miss as Keroko dodged underneath the shot and moved in for a tornado kick.
Blocking the attack, he backed off and fired another three shots before narrowly ducking underneath a head shot. In an attempt to regain his bearings, he narrowly dodged ducked underneath another blow to his head. Reacting instinctively, he brought his gun up to Keroko’s face only to have the attack parried as he pulled the trigger. Parrying off one punch to his head, he brought his gun to bear again only to have his arm grabbed twisted out of the way.
Reacting on what ever training he had from the Academy and instincts, he tried to move with the twisting motion, which resulted in him landing on his stomach. Immediately rolling to the side, he quickly got back up, only to suddenly jump back in order to dodge another attack.
Moving in, he reared his arm back for a haymaker only to be forced to block a kick to his midsection, leaving him open to a punch to his face. Falling back, he held his face in pain, while trying to keep his eye on Keroko. Struggling to get on his feet, Hayato blindly raised his gun and fired three shots before moving again, hoping that he was avoiding her.
From the sideline, Farukon watched as the two fought. He had to admit, the boy did have an interesting method of close combat. Although his form was quite sloppy, quite possibly due to the fact he didn’t train on the style as often as he should have, there was potential in the style if it could be refined. However, it seemed that he had no real training against users who preferred hand-to-hand combat. From what he could observe, his movements were more so combating against someone who was also using a pistol, not their bare hands.
Hayato felt himself sweating. He already knew that the Major was only using a fraction of her powers, but that wasn’t the issue that bothered him. He could do nothing against her. She wasn’t even fighting with a pistol, but already she was breaking through his offences, all his attempts to line up for a point-blank shot; every alignment parried; every punch blocked or deflected; every strategy defeated; every thing he and his siblings had developed for naught. Nothing was working. Even the spell he had cast before entering combat failed to work properly despite the fact he gave it enough power to operate by itself so that he could focus more on the fight.
He wasn’t proficient in hand-to-hand. He knew that. He had trained in anti-group style of combat, where he would enter enemy formations and take them out from the inside out, and at most he could deal with those who had basic training in close combat. But against a veteran of Keroko’s status and skill, he stood no chance.
He could only helplessly continue to fight on, desperately trying to line up a shot and fire. Each bullet had to count. Each shot had to make its mark.
4 cartridges left.
He was nearly out of cartridges. He was getting exhausted. Despite his movements and strength being enhanced by whatever little magic left over from each shot, it didn’t maintain his stamina.
3 cartridges left.
He was getting tired. There was no way around it. He was running empty on both his stamina and his ammo. But not a single hit ever counted.
2 cartridges left.
He had to make one hit. That was his goal. He just had to make one of his shots count.
1 cartridge left.
“STOP!” someone suddenly called up.
Freezing on the spot, both combatants stared off one another, their breaths heavy from the exertion of the exercise. Hayato could only stare in surprise and shock. Keroko’s left shoulder was smoking from impact. He had done it. It had been deflected, but he had done it. He had made contact with Keroko’s shoulder. He had landed a hit.
“Oh wow,” Hayato breathed out, falling flat on his back, exhausted from the fight. Glancing towards his device, he noticed that it was smoking, and was heavily battered as well. He could only smile wryly, due to the fact he had never had to use his weapon at the level he had to just now. Sitting back up cross legged, he opened up the chamber of his weapon to realize that he had miscounted. That last shot was his last one. On the final shot, he had done it. He had barely made the shot, on his last cartridge.
“Congratulations, PFC,” said Keroko, patting him lightly on the shoulder. “You managed to land a shot on me.” Hayato simply nodded before falling back a few steps and flopped onto the ground, feeling exhausted and drained from the battle. It was different. He never had to put that much effort into his attacks before, but then again, he never had to use what he and his siblings had created to the extent he had just used it.
Glancing over at his device, he noticed that it was smoking. Grinning wryly, he sat up and inspected it, going over the whole length of the device as he examined it from end to end. Slowly pulling back the slider, he eventually managed to dismantle his device before discovering his device had taken a hell of a beating. The bolt itself was melting, the slide was hot, and the entire firing mechanism was falling apart. Even the spring that operated the slider itself was starting to warp.
“Great, just great,” Hayato mumbled, slowly removing the clip from the handgrip. “I over did it.” Although the device itself was repairable, he had a very bad suspicion that something had jammed, and that one of his shots forced out the jam, which probably damaged the unit. At least from what he could tell, especially with the scorch marks and the melted components.
“It seems that you had a jam,” Nanoha commented, kneeling next to Hayato, inspecting the weapon from her vantage point.
“Probably,” Hayato replied back, as he started to reassemble his weapon. “I’ll just need parts to repair it is all.”
“I’ll see what I can do to get you the parts you need,” said Nanoha, as she watched Hayato lock everything in place, and insert a fresh clip.
“Thanks,” Hayato replied back. There wasn’t much he could do anyways, since it was likely he was going to be dismissed and sent back to his room.
Standing back up before the 4 officers before him, he snapped to attention. “Is there anything else I am required to do?”
“No, not at this point, PFC,” Keroko replied back.
“Yes ma’am.” Saluting the four of them, Hayato quickly dismissed himself, and headed back to the barracks for a nice shower, and then back to his room.
Once out of earshot, Farukon immediately expressed his concern. “What was the point of that spar?”
“We wanted to assess what the kid could do,” Keroko replied back, leaning back as she stretched. “He’s not bad, he just needs someone to teach him how to properly fight with that thing.”
“We had heard of his sister using the exact same skill Hayato uses,” Fate continued, picking up from where Keroko left off. “She was also reported to be a close-combat fighter, however, videos and reports can only tell us so much. That was part of the reason why we had him spar Keroko. On top of that, we are assessing all the new recruits, because Hayate is thinking about forming a third unit.”
“A third unit?” Farukon echoed back. “What do you mean?”
“Due to how we are operating now, Hayate assigned us to look through prospect mages and examine them, to test who would be most suitable for the newest unit she wishes to form,” Fate replied. “We already have teams Stars and Lightning, but that will not be enough. Basically, we’re testing prospect officers, NCOs, Enlisted, and senior Academy Cadets, in hopes of forming 3 additional squads.”
“So that would be why I’ve been here for Cadets Takamachi’s and Virage’s spars as well?” Farukon asked. Much to his chagrin, the three Majors all simply shared a knowing glance towards one another, each offering a rather disarming smile.
“Great,” Farukon sarcastically replied back. “Guess I’ll learn the hard way.”
