I really enjoyed Victoria's fight. Shante's pwoerset is pretty cool being the first mage on the franchise able to produce a true "shadow clone" technique and her attacks ae flashy as hell and i like flashy, on the other hand Victoria is knightly Ojou armed with a Halberd and who fights like a true Mighty Glacier, some of her moves are flashy as well but she's much more skilled and don't waste energy on unecessary complex moves ...the "helmet crush" finisher was both simple and awesome xD!
Sieglinde is cool but Victoria is still my favourite among the Tournamen't newly introduced cast.

My favourite line was "Truely bad... Mistress is going to fall into poor temperament." Typing out such formal speak is kind of fun
I also like the panel in the chapter after that has the announcer go on about Miura's strength and Micaiah's all "Well obviously." Corona panics and Einhart looks like she wants to GTFO.

Actually, I just find Miura aggravating her fight was horribly absurd and I don't see how she won it other than plotkai, which is really sad because Vivid barely has a plot.

Aside from wearing dress like armor, Victoria doesn't resemble Saber much.
And Miura's victory over Micaiah was mostly to do with conflicting fighting styles. Micaiah goes for the quick victory in one blow because her defense is utter shit. Miura managed to survive long enough to deal a super heavy blow for the win. It was like scissors vs paper.

True, but personalities take much more time to flush out, so resorting to stock for lesser characters is more expected than an character's looks since the art is sort of a big thing with manga.

Constantly hitting the wrong target is frustrating enough without the entire "pah, cowardly tricks" attitude. Combine the two and you get... well... this.
But what I really like about Victoria is how she shows the value of high armor. Nanoha has always been more focused on "less armor" in fights. Fate is the shining star here, and Nanoha relies more on her magical shields. Even the Wolkenritter's Knight's Garb is stated to focus less on defense. Now we finally have a character who shows why armor can be a really, really good thing. |

You're right. Wow, I can't believe I never noticed the lack of the traditional tank character! I really have to start viewing this stuff while am not exhausted, it really is like being drunk. Still I wonder how long the tournament can really last since two of the girls are out already, well in the next chapter or two, and where is the whole thing going.

Anyway I do agree about one thing: I haven't seen a tank character with lots of armor... yet.

I'm inclined to think that Sieglind could probably lose due to the re-appearance of the "reason" that made her to forfeit a match the last tournament and which is also the surce of Vitoria's worrynes towards her.
