Okay, I get bombarding a team's star/key players, but to go out to where you can injur them?

Sheesh...

If FIFA was like the NHL, there would be supplemental disciplinary measures after words. If Schweinsteiger was injured in the game and taken off the field/pitch.

I don't know how Aguero can punch a guy in the face and not get a straight red, never mind a second yellow. That goal was karma. But what a gorgeous finish by Goetze, off yet another great cross from Schurrle.

Neuer winning the Golden Glove award... well deserved.

Messi as the Golden Ball winner... are you sure? No other candidates?

I feel bad for Messi, he looks so disappointed. At the level he is at, the Golden Ball is little consolation for him.

My mom is constantly pestering me on Messi getting the Golden Ball. She's confusing Golden ball with the Golden boot!

Was a great contested match. An enjoyable final. By extra time, I wanted a goal and it happened. A goal is the only way to settle a match in final (World cup final) I hate when it goes to penalties in such an important match to determine a true winner.

It's really obvious what FIFA's trying to do, Messi wasn't the best player of the world cup by any means, and neither was Neuer the best keeper, but whatever FIFA, whatever Sepp, keep sucking up to Messi (who's acting like a little diva, the guy won't even shake hands...)

yeah, i don't think messi deserved the golden ball... Lahm probably.

we're not going to talk about how that guy got a concussion then played another 10 or so minutes before getting subbed off? he should have been done the minute he was hit in the head.

I guess because the whole month all I could hear was that Messi was Argentina and without him its team is lost which I disagree but indeed he was the key for various occassions.

With the World Cup awarded to Germany, our attentions now begins to shift towards Russia for 2018.

I wonder what Russia will have up their sleeve. But then again; what will the other 31 nations have up their sleeves by then?

See you guys then.

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

Hmm, Neuer was great for Germany the entire tournament. Yes, guys like Navas or Ochoa were great, but you can make a good case for Neuer and his ability to play outside the box, suffocating opposing attacks.

Other keeper made a lot of great save but really, Neuer was just a class above the others bringing back the sweeper keeper style that we haven't seen in a long time. The last one i remember was Peter Schmeichel who played for Manchester United.

German players with a Reus shirt. Sad for him that he missed it with his injury, good to see that everybody thinks of him even more than a month after he was out.
