I never heard of such a constitution, though. Is that a fact, or speculation? Because although Britannian promoted social Darwinism, there's a good chance they still had laws against terrorism and other would-be crimes.

I think it had to do with the fact that, according to what I have heard, he was physically abused by his father and killed him when he was 7. In any case this is only in the novels to my knowledge, so it has no bearing on the show anyway. For all we know Luciano's childhood was awesome, or one continuous string of Cry For The Devil moments.

It's hard to to feel for the enemy when they are faceless and devoid of any humanity. Usually when a pilot's face is shown seconds before their death, it is done to show that there's a human in the cockpit, so people aren't just blowing up machines, but human beings too... Out of all the people Kallen kills in the show, only one really made me go aww wtf?!, and that was Kewell's sister. Everyone else including Kewell himself and Luciano deserved it.
The way the show was written certainly takes away our attention from the fact that Kallen is a killing machine, and by the end of the show has killed a lot of people. Most of those people were behind a knightmare that's probably why she was able to move on and just live normally with no psychological problems. If she had had to kill all those people with a gun or knife it'd be a different story.

but she was in ashford at least one year before the start of the show (rivals points out she was mostly absent during that year as well) so probably between 2-3 years by shows end (she doesn't really "go" to ashford during the second season until the end)

actually, since the black rebellion was during her sophomore year, and she "dropped out" right after it, its possible she's still technically in her sophomore year

Meh, Ashford seems to have a pretty lenient system, I mean, Kallen was shown to didn't show up a lot for much of her first year, and she still went up a grade... Maybe if Kallen cared enough to ace her exams (OF course she will. ) Then, she'll go up a grade.

To be honest, I always saw that supposedly being top of the class thing as a bit if an informed ability. I'm not saying 'act first, think later' people can't be booksmart, but a lot of her actions in the series contradict her supposedly good grades.
Then again, I suppose it depends. I'm sure all the good KMF pilots have to be good at physics and maths, for example. |

and Lelouch is genius, and he's bearly a step above mook level as a pilot i don't think you need THOSE kinds of skill require school work as for her action in the show "contradicting" anything, its actually rather simple after all, Lelouch demonstrated this point again and again "a smart person, who operates while emotional, stops acting smart" most of kallen's mistakes and unwise actions, are done while she's usually emotional (especially when Lelouch is concerned) so its not that strange that she makes bad decisions at times
