I'm currently in Japan. I've bought a bunch of figures on this trip, so here are a few of them. I posted these on the Animenation forum. You can click the images for a larger version.
Etna, the DFC goddess (or demoness, actually)! Arche and Mint from Tales of Phantasia, beautiful Kotobukiya figures.

This is my most expensive figure to date (excluding my Macross Valkyries)
Where would my limit lie? Dunno, I probably would have forked out €500-€1000 for a mass produced 1/2000 Macross SDF1 (not sure if you can call this a figurine though) In the PVC figure dept. maybe €200 max for a big ass 'must have!' character (can't think of one though) In the resin -non built- dept. I would say €350-€500 excluding commision (since I can't build or paint the buggers myself) Got an old saying over here "Hobbies are allowed to cost money" (and trust me, they will!) So basicly: as long as you can still eat and have a roof above your head, the sky's the limit Though riding a motorcycle, playing guitar and collecting figures, I've luckily yet to reach the sky Being single and having a full time job helps alot in that

How much does an average figurine cost? How about a Street Fighter? |

Hmm... Street Fighter...
I'm trying to think about what I've seen... I know there's a few Revoltechs, but the only one I can name off the top of my head that's not from the tie-in game is Chun-Li. I also know there's some statue-ish (I still have no idea what terminology I should use here for unscaled figures...) ones of Cammy and Chun-Li, as well as a recent figure of Ryu fighting Sagat- those are the more expensive ones. There's also some mini-busts of various characters, and there's a set of 4 Nendoroid Petites of the main girls from Lucky Star cosplaying as SF characters coming out next month... Really, you should check out Capcom's US online store. They have a good number of SF figures (though some seem to be cheap action figures), but some of the better ones appear to be sold out: http://shop.capcom.com/store/capcomu...ultsPerPage=74 |
