i'm kind of sad that mirror moon's links to get the patch were blocked. i had the pc game installed on a better computer, then noticed i could'nt get the patch, luckly my old laptop had the patch and was able to transfer it.
now i'm doing a new costume for the next anime convention. my costume is the same person(Hakuoro) just in his god forum. i've had some ideas to go about it making it but i would like some advice if anyone has made that kind of costume before. thanks for all the help. |

I suppose this would be the most appropriate place to ask this, but not sure how many people still wander to this part of the forum...
I have a dilemma: I want to pre-order the UtaMono game sequel (Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen) but it is for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. I intend to pre-order the special edition, but I don't know which one to get because I do not have any of those consoles. If money were of no concern, then I would go ahead and pre-order the PS4 edition of the game, the buy a PS4 so I can play it. But I also have a PS2 game (Fate Unlimited Codes) and a PSP game (Utawarerumono Portable), neither of which I have played because I don't own any gaming consoles, except for a NDS. Are any of the three consoles backward compatible? If they are, then I may decide to pick a console that is backward compatible to kill two birds with one stone. Another concern, I would prefer to buy my console locally (in Australia). Would imported games still work? Answers would be much appreciated, I tried asking on the official Playstation forums, but got stupid replies such as "buy an xbox" -_- |

This is a really late reply, but... the PS3 and PS4 and Vita are all essentially region-free (though your online account/store is by region). However, there isn't really a good "kill two birds with one stone" combo in your case.
PS4: Region-free, but not backwards compatible PS3: Region-free, but models that were backwards compatible with PS2 no longer sold VITA: Region-free for physical games (not downloads), backwards compatible with PSP, but only if you bought the game online (not on Disc) PS2: Discontinued and was also region-locked PSP: Discontinued (but you may still find some lying around somewhere) So... at this point, honestly, your best bet will probably be PS2 and PSP emulators, which we generally don't discuss on this site, but it's to the point where you essentially can't otherwise play the games you bought. And as for the sequel, if you can spring for it, I'd say you might as well go for the PS4 so that at least you'll have the most forward-looking console going forward.
