Well there the marketing executives are dumb. Why is there a need for a rerun when fans like me have seen the entire series 15498 times?

Well there may be a possibility that they want to end it on the second season, so they are probably waiting for the last light novel to be published.

The nightmare of Haruhi S2 being another Duke Nukem Forever has come true......

I think more people are getting the negative possibility than the positive possibility.

Take note, the key word is 'relaunch', which you can interpret as 'rerun' of S1, or 'relaunching' of the 'cancelled' Haruhi S2.

OK, so they fucked with us, AGAIN. But, we need to remember that we havn't seen the entire article. They could have the release date or something of equal or better caliber in there.

You know Kinny Riddle said that they headlined the 'relaunch' of Haruhi and sidelined the 20th anniversary of Clamp.

It probably that means something.

Maybe to sell more issues of the magazine.

Edit: After doing the math, I figured that if Kadokawa is going to air TDoHS on July 7th, they would have to start airing Melancholy on the week of April 1st with NO breaks in between (I know they're going to have to have one for Golden Week, so we can throw that idea out the window)

You know what would be really weird?

If they not only switched the order for a "rebroadcast" to the chronological (Haruhi) order...but also did the same for a second season....thus the second season would intercut into the first season starting with around the middle of the season.

I still contend that one needs the actual magazine (translation) to know for sure what is going on.

Hope for the best, but expect the worst seems to be how this fandom works right now.

Just for everyone who doesn't know yet, ANN is now reporting this on their front page... they also add that the "PR representative" stated that Kadokawa is in no way ready to make an official announcement about the second series.

Looking very, very grim at this point. I have never until this point considered just giving up on this series and KyoAni/Kadokawa in general, but I have to say that I'm now seriously considering it. This is honestly ridiculous... I get the feeling they enjoy seeing us constantly disappointed by their misleading marketing, laughing together in their little offices.

The optimist in me is saying "Maybe they're not ready to make an official announcement because the issue still isn't coming out for another week", but reality has taught me that it's futile to be optimistic when it comes to the way kadokawa has handled this franchise.

I seriously hope haruhi fans in Japan go crazy. I hope Kadokawa really feels the burn this time around.
