F-35 is for countering J-20. Japan don't need carrier F-35s when ground based ones are far better for its case

Or at least that is what a psychiatrist told me. Another thing, why the heck did you choose that article to post? Is that supposed to be an indirect reply to the new "emotionless society" tag on us?

The new Japanese carrier are about the size of an American Essex-class carrier or the larger Japanese carriers built during the Second World War. The Hyūga class helicopter destroyer is smaller, fitting into the old Light Carrier territory.
Even then, they are large enough to maybe two squadrons of F-35s as they are not that much larger (in dimensions) than the F11 used in the late 1950s on the Essex-class carriers. The Hyuga-class, probably just one squadron with attached other craft like the current Italian carriers.

Doesn't anyone remember how in the Ghost in the Shell tv series they talked how world war III was fought on southeast asia and that it was a conflict that was used as proof of concept for several new technologies?

Syria says Turkey's bid for NATO missiles "provocative" http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...8AJ1FK20121123 They really search hard for ''provocation'', the Patriot is a Surface-Air missile. At least if they would had ask for some JDAM or Bunker Buster ...
