edit: also, my advice is not to use up the hearts to ascend Herc further. Farm the last heart on Friday to max-ascend Altera. With kaleidoscope and having the highest ATK value in the game, supplemented by a level 4 crest of the star, she will supply a more constant flow of FPs. Except when fighting archer dailies and hands, she is a reliable one-shot wave clearer. People who have their own Wavers will more likely choose her over Herc unless fighting single boss battles. Even vs single boss, Attila is a force to be reckoned with.

I don't think it'll go as you imagine. You can't charge Waver's NP fast enough to reduce Alter's NP to match the cooldown for Merlin. You'd need to put out Waver's NP three times every cycle to match them. Even with something like Prisma Ilya it's impossible. Not to mention that you don't nearly deal enough damage to finish it in like 20ish turns.

You only need to refill your NP bar twice if you make sure Waver's NP is ready and with GoA stacks/arts chains/and their np charging skills I think it's doable. The 20ish turn estimate is based on other people finishing this with a similar lineup. Yours will probably end up a bit longer due to NP1 but it will still probably near that number.

Anyway it doesn't hurt to try. In the end it's just 5AP per try. You just have to experiment how to cram more offense in your tries if you don't want to turtle.

So i heard the price of quartz for the Japanese version has been changed. You get more quartz for the same amount of money. Is this change permanent? 5000 yen for 76 quartz seems like a steal in spite of 1% 5 star rates.

The thing in Saber Alter challenge is she focus on caster (or just Merlin lol) so he will die fast, what more she crits hard too even with all the def stack

I keep getting the max total cost for servant lineup. Is it better sometimes to have a stronger servant lineup or particular servants equipped with better craft essences?

She basically just attacks casters first but she doesn't really focus so if you use 2 casters she still ends up with RNG between the 2 casters. Double Merlin or double Tamamo pretty much outheals her because of this.

I would have liked that Karna more than my Arjuna roll. So many gold archers that I'd be happy getting but it has to be Arjuna

Always better to have stronger servants unless your CEs include kaleidoscope or imaginary element. You can field Mashu to save cost. We don't have content that needs brain power yet. This will change later. Servants like Euryale, George, Robin, and maybe even Hans may be situationally useful.

You need to push for stars and you need to field an arts team if you want to charge Waver faster. Ishtar will suck stars and she's not arts-chain friendly.

hmmm... maybe fielding 2030s with merlin and waver would have better results. Was thinking plugsuit stun and an eventual David Swap can save you for 1 more NP. Yeah the thing with fielding Waver for this challenge is that unlike double Merlin or double Tamamo you will eventually be hit by her NP so you really have to bring her down fast.

I do think that Tamamo is a better pair for Waver for this challenge but using Tamamo means you need to have a useable Orion/Archuria/Kuro.

Well yeah, I have a level 90 Choco and a level 85 Orion. Was thinking of retrying that quest with an arts team around Kuro to see if that can manage it without use of CS.

well I went on and downloaded this game since the English version came out a couple week ago so I figure I'd give it a go. So far it's fun, but are there any tips for a beginner?
