The same can be done to make a woman like Chisato be a nurse.

I just mean that if she were a friend of Basara's mom then she must at least have been in her early teen years when he were born, that's all, so she can't just be 5 years older than him

I understand where you're coming from, it doesn't make much sense but I'm pretty sure of the fact that she isn't much older than him somehow.

She could also been her "little sister" friend to a "onee-sama!" figure that could have been Basara's mother, one doesn't needs to be the same age to be friends.

that aside, does the whole "chicks dig scars" fit to Basara and his female classmates? since there was that illustration of the pool and the resulting boob grab for Mio due to curse kickoff, they'd probably be amazed since as far as the guys go, even if he's an ex-hero, his body is still toned enough from constant training.

The first bd got some good points in the prediction chart(dont know how it works yet, but at least I know it was good). If the other volumes of the anime sell like the first one, then its more than enough for some studio to pick it again to make a second season.
