Well, Sonic had the nerve to think he was worthy to be Saitama's rival. Bang thinks that he is Saitama's teacher. Fubuki was sincerely believed that she was Saitama's boss.

So having Flash to think he deserved to be Saitama's teacher is totally acceptable here.

Sonic is comedy relief. Bang wanted Saitama as a student and he never called himself Saitama's teacher. Fubuki is annoying and calling herself his boss was never acceptable.

Well that is what you think, but this is normal occurrence in the manga. Everyone in the manga think that they are worthy to stand beside Saitama. So i don't know why you were bothered by Light when everyone was literally did the same thing.

Though I think it would be funny if they found out Saitama is buddies with King.

No it isn't. We're talking about superiority. Genos is Saitama's student and reveres him as his teacher. Sonic sees him as a foe to overcome. Bang just wanted someone strong to pass on his martial arts to. They stand next to him as equals, but none of them actually believed themselves to be better than Saitama, much less call themselves his teacher. No one liked Fubuki's arrogant attitude.
