Seriously, Bethesda does not have the resources or the time to fully flesh out the game. All they can hope to do is to build a functional skeleton on which the mod community can do new and wonderful things.

Even though I love to go after trophies, I much prefer the PC version since there are unlimited possibilities of continuous playtime from Vallen Chaos Valiant's reasons. I'll take longer playability then a short-triumphed trophy rush.

It costs the same as the 560Ti, the same power but has the big advantage of extra memory which will makes a big difference in some games or applications, it also quieter, draws less power and can easily be unlocked to 6970 levels. See: Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart

I meet the recommended specs, except for my GPU (a Radeon HD 5750). However, it is closer to the recommended cards than to the minimum requirement cards. I am guessing I can play the game on High at 720p, and a combination of High and Medium settings at 1080p.

Yeah i noticed there was a 2GB version of the 560... I dont have any particular fondness of ATI or Nvidia but I tend to keep all my computers in the same component families for management simplicity.

I just went through my hardware setup on the ageing laptop. Looks I am confirmed to be safe to play it.
Not easy to find a major new game that actually runs properly for me these days.

I've always stuck with nvidia, no real reason other than it hasn't failed so far.
(except that one forceware release that caused massive overheats) 560ti is at least living up to the OC hype. I haven't felt the need to overclock yet, but I gave it a try now anyways. With just one press of a button: Might even go higher if I raise the volts. Photobucket is quite terrible. Oh, and since this topic was about Skyrim:

Or just get GTX580.
Ps. There are achievements on PC so you should get the PC version. Even if there wasn't and PS3 version had hundreds of trophies, you still should get PC version. Mods are the way to go to improve the game and add more content. The game like previous Elder Scrolls have been made with the community modding in mind. (The achievements on PC are on Steam, and the game is Steamworks so you need to use Steam to play Skyrim)

Keep in mind that CPUs matters too.
$500 GPU, requires a $400~500 CPU and so on. My Q8400 really held back my 5850, until I replaced it with a Q9650...gained much more stability and 10~20+ fps or so in most games. Barbaric. btw 5850's still a hella good card , consider getting one if your budget is low.
