I was too busy yelling (out loud) at Misaki's negligent mother to cry. I suppose I might have cried also if I had an ounce of sympathy for a woman that abandons her daughter out of self-pity. Just thinking about that gets me mad. Still, I did feel really sad and happy for Misaki to finally see her mom.

Da Capo
Spoiler:

Da Capo is a great one for tears, some of the arcs in there had me in floods. Especialy Miharu. That was one of the sadest in the entire story. Mia's arc was quite well developed aswell.

[spoiler]

I was really glad when Miharu (the real one) was back at the very end, when we see him running up to his sister/girlfriend. I'd love to see an OVA of this to show what happened to them after, it would of been great to see how each of mthe people he touched handled the changes. Khazza tries to do it, but fails miserably, though i was glad Makoto was prought back to life

[spoiler]

KGNE is an emotional rollercoaster, its one of those rare shows that come along every now and then and totaly change you. The voice cast were superb and they were really into it, the emotion they put into it is part of why it's so damn good, the other part being the music. Awsome combination of elements.

Aishiteruze Baby is another with amazing music, Yuzyu's crying always sounded fake to me, but i got over it. There are some awsome elements involved in this, a guy torn between two loves and not knowing what to do, but trying to do his best. I had lumps in my throat over this a few times. Shame it ended where it did, i think they could easily of made another season from it, or a series of OVA's.

Ajimu Kaigan Monogatari is another great music and story compilation. It doesnt really hit you till the last half of the 4th episode, but i was a little strung out over this. I love how they mixed hawaiian music in with the japanese, it worked awsomely well, and nothing like a love septagonal to get the old blood pumping hehehe

Full Moon wo Sagashite is the series im currently watching, and this is just amazing, has had me sheding a few tears i can tell you. I dont know who the singer is for the songs, but she's amazing, you can easily feel the power in her voice and she conveys the emotions amazingly. I was really lucky and found the opening and closing songs on a fan site. Just hope this show keeps going the way it's headed now and ends happily. (its a kids show aswell!!!!)

True Love Story had me in tears at the end. Its a story of forgotten love and rememberance, and it has some amazing accompanying music.

To many others to list, but all in the romance genre (im a soppy guy :P what can i say, i love a good tear jerker)

Sadly for some reason the music quality in anime has started to decline the past year or so. Originaly we had some awsome stuff like those mentioned, now we have crap most of the time, with the odd good one. It's almost like they dont really care for the opening and closing credits, and instead focus on the in show stuff, which is a shame. Just look at Naruto, thats been naf from the start and has now hit rock bottom. But there in show music is pretty decent.

Here's mine!

--The Ending to Cowboy Bebop
--Grave of the Fireflies

That's it, really. Some others have made me shed a little tear, but nothing that can really be related to this subject.

Agreed. Guts is one of the most fsk'd characters in all of popular anime/manga. Especially with witnessing his best friend do what he did to Casca.

I thought Kanon was really sad... especially towards the end. Kiminozo as well. Plus there was the ending to the first season of Rayearth.

I don't know what to say about that except I hope we all enjoy our walk on the road to the future together.(The music during that was nice too.)

In brief:

1. We are all walking towards the future
2. Everyone keeps on walking to their future
3. But not all can continue on, i.e: an unfortunate accident can cause someone close to you (friend, relative, etc.) to suddenly stop on their path to their future
4. But that doesn't mean he/she is gone forever - he/she is always there behind you
5. So you should stop looking back since you have your own future ahead of you
6. You progress through your own life (studying for exams, college life, your first career, marriage, having a child...)
7. In the end, you realize that you've walked very far, you decide to take a rest
8. Just then your good ol' pal taps you on your shoulder
9. You wonder how he/she was able to kept up with you during the long trip that you have taken
10. When he/she tells you that what you thought you walked a journey, you reflect upon it that you only moved just a little (your memories are a journey, your life is just a step)
11. By now, you are now with your friend, as you see your family (wife and child crying looking back at you)
12. Where you cheer you family on "to stop looking back - you don't want to trip on your own journey to your own future"
