Hurray!
Due to schoolwork as well as me finally downgrading my computer to XP, I haven't been able to play the game at all. But now I am installing the full game (I had the demo before) as I type and then I will download the patch and replay ... wow, up to Day 12! Good job! |

Japanese native wanted...
Hi, Shion here. I was wondering if there were any native Japanese speakers on this board who might have time to help us out with some undocumented idioms and cultural references that we've had trouble finding information about, as well as maybe cross-checking some bits. Just to help us get Onikakushi finished up to be the best it can be. Oh, and it'd be a bonus if you know about mahjongg, since some talk about that comes up during Detective Ooishi's break-time, and I'm _really_ not an expert . Please PM us if you would be willing to help us out. Yoroshiku onegai itashimasu!

Onikakushi Day 13 Release!
Hi everybody!
The Sonozaki Futago-tachi release of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Onikakushi (Days 1-5, 9-13) is now ready! Check our latest blog post for more details. Nothing bad happens to Keiichi today, but that doesn't mean things don't go horribly wrong.... Mion (Sonozaki Futagotachi)

May I ask without sounding stupid, what I can delete when putting in the new patch? What I'm concerned about is my savedata. Where is it and will i lose it if i delete the folder containing patch for day 12 and then put in day 13 patch?
THank you EDIT I just saw a .sav file called global.sav, If thats it I'm fine but just to confirm..is that it?? |

onscripter-en stores its save game data in the Application Data folder (AppData in Vista) in your Windows Profile. the original game saves in its own folder, however.
Do note that the entire English patch should be located in a sub-folder of your Higurashi install folder, so deleting that subfolder will remove the patch. Also, since it only updates the same files, the updates can be applied over each other without loosing any data. (in fact, thats what my Installers do - just update changed files) |

Really thank you for translating. Good work, and up till now the game works really fine (on Vista). The anime left many funny things out ... But a question. Will you also translate the other games, or will you stop with Onikakushi? Not that I want to force you to do it, but just that I can estimate how fast I have to study japanese ... ^^
