I really really really really really really really really really really REALLY hope that Miotsukushi-hen will be included in season 3/OVA. It could work. They could start off with Saikoroshi-hen and change a few things to compensate for the direction of the story.

Not happening. They'd need a considerable number of episodes to animate Miotsukushi-hen, enough for at least a 13 episode season. If they were planning on producing that many episodes, why would they not show them on TV?

Yes it is confirmed.
Umineko no Naku Koro Ni seems to be schelduled for 2008.
But well, it is preferably better to wait a full translation of that instead of relying of what i could barely understand

Basically just says that it's going to be an anime version coming out soon...more info coming this summer...

I'm hoping that it won't be DEEN that does it, but isn't Oyashirosama.com a by product of studio DEEN?

Yes, already. The sources are reliable for that. It will be in OVA format, but there isn't any confirmation for the actual number of OVA not their length.

Wouldn't it be more practical to pray for studio Deen to get it right this time around? (which they can, like in Simoun) The possibilities they will let the golden eggs hen out of their grip is close to nil.

Anyway, it will only be the announcement that something is in production. It may be the case that it won't air till autumn or winter 2009

Well... Isn't it better this way? I mean, they won't have 26 episodes to cover 6 games, so they can space things out and not leave big swathes of information out. *ahem*tatarigoroshi*ahem*
Of course, they'll find a way to screw it up.

They might be able to animate the curent umineko game in 1 season, but how much will we wait after that before they get enought material for a other season?

If it's already in production, then I'm hoping only 2 games for 1 season. 6-7 epsiodes isn't enough for 1 game, but 1 season per game is just stretching it.

I want MOAR!

After the first 2 seasons/series, I think my expectations are way to high for future work. I just hope they do the story justice.

Having gone through the visual novels, yes. Yes they do. Despite the smaller and more constrained setting, the plot is somehow more epic.

Just a year. We get 2 story arcs of the visual novels a year, so when 2008 is over, there will be 4 total. When 2009 is over, the first 2 answer arcs will be out, and when 2010 finishes, the entire story will be over.

So for the anime, they should be able to keep up with 2 a year as well, no problem.

Has Ryukish07 said that there'll be 8 chapters in Umineko? If not then I don't see a reason to assume that it will be equally long as Higurashi. Also has he said that there'll be question and answer arcs?

Yes, he has. He said between 7-8 arcs total, the first 4 being question arcs, I do believe. I'm pretty sure it was the same time they revealed the name of Episode 3.
