Oh dear. Not this again. Didn't we had a huge discussion over this a few months back? I dimly recalled it descending into page after page over arguing about the meaning of leadership.

If the author suddenly decided to make tatsuya become the heir I'll definitely drop the series due to disappointment

It won't be sudden at all. He is the one most suited for the task, problem is that he doesn't have any ambition to that end. It would be an excellent transition of Tatsuya being seen as a little more than convenient tool, to something more.

Ok if tatsuya does become the head it won't be to crazy. It would be tatsuya reclaiming what he lost. Tatsuya will also insulate miyuki from the problems if he is the head. I am pretty sure the head of the yotsuba has attempt's on their life. Then Tatsuya can further his ambition of changing how Magicians stand if he takes over the most militaristic magician group. He can also handle running the clan as he is not above murder , kidnapping , and all that. He also already participates in business of FLT , so he is not a greenhorn with money.

^also remember Tatsuya had really good connections inside some families, there you have Juumonji, Mayumi, Minoru, Masaki, Erika, etc. His influence is really high, and most of his friends want to help him on his plans because they trust in Onii-sama.

That is the main weak point of Miyuki. She does not have the influence or connections Tatsuya has. She does not have as much experience with what the Yotsuba actually do also.

There is probably no doubt that Miyuki will concede to her brother but only and only if Tatsuya desires it so.

Vol 9 - 11 there is your proof, remember how tatsuya leave his current way of thinking "they are my minions" with the actual one "They are my friends I can trust them".

It cleary does, because if have zero influence you can't do shit. Look at Juumonji, he's being a strong person inside the families because he knows where to turn for information and favors. Other example is Masaki who can even use his connections with the army and use them for his own purpose.

As @Aortax said, that is a weak point on Miyuki and Tatsuya knows that, for this reason he's building an entire network with important people and get influence on them, besides on vols 9 - 11 you can see how his actions led to a subsequent favoritism and support, even Yokohama helps to do that.

Armando I don't think Tatsuya has expressed him wanting to do be the leader or him not. He is neutral. If he feels he can give Miyuki a happier life being the leader he can become it . If Miyuki does not want it he won't. It's also a good way to leash Tatsuya is the Yotsuba really want to. I really doubt Tatsuya will destroy a organization / family he is running. He can implement his vision into it.

What I'm trying to say is that, practically all the actions that Tatsuya does is for the benefit of his sister. Knowing that his sister is ignorant of most of real life, he is laying the groundwork to make it easier for her. It's not for him to assume the leadership himself.
