Hiyuu is the Vessel of Kouryu, the Yellow Dragon*. This is bad news for Kodzuno for a number of reasons, including the fact that his personal Loli-chan is actually the vessel of Suzaku, the Red Bird. Since Tokyo is like, the perfect place to build a city because it was blessed by the four Gods, pissing off their leader is kind of... dangerous, wouldn't you say? Then again, since Marie Crea is the only one who's even remotely demonstrated having a lot of power. The other two that have been introduced thus far have pretty much been massive wads of suckage and uselessness.

Plus, the last time they were together, back in the days of the Tokugawa, Hiyuu kicked Kodzuno's sad little ass all the way to hell.

*Y'know, symbolic of the Emperor, Earth and the leader of the Four Gods and all that?

His personal loli-chan? Who is that supposed to be? Unless that's a character that hasn't appeared yet. Heh, did his loli-chan get killed in a past life, hence is obsession with helping dying girls? Today's Villain of the Week is RIKUDO Sera. Like so many of the characters, her function is almost entirely different than it was in the game.

In the game, she's, like, one of the last villains you fight. On Christmas Eve, you get to go on a date with a character of your choosing (provided you, y'know, fulfilled the requirements and all). Your date is interrupted by Sera, who is being pursued by thugs, and she begs Hiyu to help her. Hiyu politely kicks the asses of those involved. Later, its revealed that she's completely bloody crazy, and you have to fight her. She isn't blond, nor does she use whip-like weapons (at first, I thought she was meant to be Fujisaki Arisa, so I was like "WHAT? NO. NO. NO. NO.). The chapter climaxes with some VERY WEIRD STUFF, which involves Hiyu going into a coma and a certain character being revived. In the game, she looks sorta like this:


In other news, Aoi actually manifests her healing powers and Komaki throws up. A lot. As for Aoi's healing, I'm thankful that it lacked a whole lot of fanfare. No shiny lights of pure love and goodness, just, like, Wolverine (if I may be so bold) style regeneration. Thank you Aoi, for being understated. For once.

Kodzuno has a dream where we get part of his !trauma past. Marie makes fun of him. I don't see your parents... I was going to type "hanging around" there, with zero irony, but I didn't.

Hiyu and Aoi bond. Kyouichi and Komaki bond. Komaki slaps Kyouichi (in the game, she punches him). Komaki and Daigo bond. Kisaragi stays back as a minor character. All is right with the world.

Hinano and Yukino Oribe, the priestess girls from the previous episode, have now appeared on the official website's character page.

I think every episode would have been much better if Aoi was no where to be seen. For a second there, I thought Komaki got herself pregnant, and it was Aoi's baby. The episode was pretty cool, especially the animation was very good at some places. The drawing was exceptional. The plot? Well, see above where Jesus C. has pretty much written out the plot of this week's episode. Seriously, there is no plot. People who watches Ikkitousen, doesn't watch it for the plot. People who watches Tokyo Majin may not watch it for the plot either simply because, what plot?

I enjoyed this episode because of that little interaction between Komaki and Kyouichi. But the most amusing part of this episode had to happen when Yuuya brought Komaki lunch as she was crying while beating the ground.

Yuuya: Sakurai-san, I brought you a bento
Komaki: *cries even louder*
Yuuya: Please eat up
Komaki: *bitch slaps the bento which makes the bento box fall on the floor and makes a mess.

I couldn't breathe for a while as I was laughing too hard.

^ not really...i think that ikkitousen has more of a plot than Tokyo Majin ~ so far all weve seen is a group of idiots running around beating up stuff with each ep feeling episodic...(not entirely true but it does feel that way >.<)

but she actually forgot about her...and even the flashback doesnt reveal much of their past friendship so we have no idea how close they were (and what happened in between for komaki to forget) ~ plotholes? *sigh*

There something really was amiss in the episode. The constant angst turned into inadvertant comedy at places. I'm also hypothesizing that Yuuya might not be very perceptive about surrounding environtment at a given moment. I still can't get over the fact he asks Komaki to eat her bento even though she is crying like a mad otoko onna. boo hoo hoo~..

Yeah, he doesn't seem to be that aware of the feelings of others. I mean, chick can't stop throwing up, is shoving food in her face really the best idea?
Although, you gotta love how dramatic they made it when the bento goes majestically soaring through the air.

In other news, I'm kinda looking forward to the next episode, because I want to see where they go with it.

Hilarious! I now have every reason to look forward to episode 10. I'm also taking you very seriously when you say:

I think it's pretty damn clear that Hiyuu is gay from this episode, by the fact that he done nothing whilst being alone with a naked Aoi in kimono and not taking advantage of her vulnerability.

This is her basic ability, a weak, 50 HP or so healing ability, aptly translated as Healing Light:

Here, you can see one of three frames of animation.

In any case, her developing Healing abilities later rather than having them from the conception of her "Power" may add an interesting angle, because now Aoi realizes she could have saved everyone who had died up until then if only she had her abilities sooner. Then again, it means Aoi will become even more depressed...
