What I'm thinking about that concept is that either..

1) the suit needs to be huge. Not Fat, but Big.
2) the suit needs TDS for it to perform like of that of Seravee/Virtue's fire power.

Anyway, I'm disappointed by Ribbons' death, I seriously dislike it. I mean, both the blades of the Exia and 0 Gundam hit in nearly the same spots. How come the 0 Gundam explodes to nothing but dust, and the Exia lives?

The GN-Sword Kai can do a lot more damage than a single beam saber. It has a much wider blade and an even wider range of damage due to the condenser material's heat properties.

Eh, yeah, I re-watched the fight, and the scene bluntly implies that the 0 Gundam was the one that suffered the greater damage.

Whatever damage it may have took the 0 Gundam's GN drive survived because they wouldn't name Setsuna's new suit 00 Quanta, right?

I am so hoping that the Gundams are as detailed, or more than so, as the S1 Gundams. S2 Gundams, while they did look cool doing all the destroying and stuff, looked too plain. Cutting corners on Gundams really sucks.

Anyway, can't wait to see lineart of the new Gundams and especially the Flag. It will probably powered by a GN Drive [T] but I hope there's no huge cone sticking out anywhere. The thing that I loved about the Flag, besides it's cool design, was it's transforming capability. They should give that back to the Flag. And also, give Graham some G-Force Dampeners already, the man's doesn't need to be coughing up blood every fight.

wasn't there a mention of new drives ? maybe the new double o has 2 new drives. I think its very possible for there to be 2 other matching drives other then exias and o gundams. I believe there are 5 new drives at jupiter but thats just me guessing but i am sure i an't the only one

Both S1 and S2 Gundams had completely different aesthetics, so I'm sure the new Gundams will feature entirely different designs. Or they can revert back to the other designs.

Also, I wouldn't expect the GN Drives of Seraphim and 0 Gundam to be in AOK condition. Seraphim took a shot directly to the chest and received critical damage. The 0 Gundam too, the WHOLE suit went boomie.

I still think the green lights are new GN Drives. Hell, we got news on that didn't we?

i think the reason why aeolia was pepared to sacrifice the first 5 drives is because he had another 5 drives which are more powerful. Come to think of it there are 8 innovators so perhaps ribbons,regenne,revive and bring were like the first wave of meisters who were supposed to be destroyed causeing humanity to unite and then the 2nd wave of meisters who are hilling,anew,devine,tieria appear to carry out the next phase of the plan with the 5 new drives.

We're not even sure Aeolia knows the value of a single Drive,because ultimate he wasnt even aware that Jupiter is needed to make them.He only created the GN-Drive theory,Jupiter requirement was discovered by later scientists.

Tiera was created as a replacement for Regene originally.

The boomie part is not the problem,the real problem is because 0-Gundam's Drive is struck directly by a solid blade.

Really? I never noticed, but what about Seraphim? I think we should make a gif out of the blast it took and really examine it.

Because we all know that explosions are one of the easy ways to avoid death in Gundam. I believe the GN Drive was destroyed.

I just checked for myself, Exia most definitely pierced 0 Gundam's GN drive, but it's impossible to tell what happened to Seraphim's.

I'm thinking an opposing faction possesses 5 other GN drives, people who split with Aeolia Schenberg. Something happened 80 years ago on Jupiter where an excavation team discovered the "evil haro".

The other faction may not even call their GN drive-equppied mobile suits "Gundams".

Just went to check the part where it was shot. It skims off the front of the chest. Doesn't quite hit anywhere near the back where the GN drive is located, at least, In my opinion it doesn't.

Seraphim would block the Beam's image after it passed through if it had hit the GN drive area, The beam hits the edge and passes through the shoulder.
I don't think the shrapnel or the explosion would do anything. Setsuna survived it pointblank during the final battle.

As for the 0 Gundam.. This one is up for grabs, I have no idea. It doesn't seem to hit the center of the flight cone.

Well in that picture it doesn't look like it directly struck the GN Drive at all.
