wait, what? Katanagatari? His Bakemonogatari series still haven't even aired yet! Since Bakemonogatari announced back in April, and is going to aired in (presumably) April next year. Katanagatari will probably aired sometimes in January, 2010.

No, what I mean is the time between Bakemonogatari anime announcement and actual broadcast schedule is exactly one year, so I think Katanagatari might be the same, that is, if it's going to be produced under Aniplex.

But again, announcing new series while his first anime series still haven't revealed casts information, or even main character's character design, is definitely strange.

According to NHK website, Natsumi Itsuki's Hana-sakeru Seishōnen (花咲ける青少年) manga will be getting an anime adaptation for April 2009.

This is an ANN link that suggests La Corda D'Oro is getting a sequel series based on a new game called La Corda D'Oro 2 Forte. The source of the news might not be fully reliable though because the article says it was a leak from a game retailer.

Ghibli Confirms Plans for 2 New Films

The November entry in Studio Ghibli’s “Itsumo no Ghibli Nikki” (Habitual Ghibli Diary) blog reveals that director Hayao Miyazaki addressed the Ghibli staff last month in a speech that included confirmation that the studio will produce two new feature films within the next three years. Miyazaki reportedly emphasized that the production of the new films will be driven by the studio’s younger staff. Further details about the new productions are being kept secret.

Last February Studio Ghibli President Koji Hoshino stated that Studio Ghibli directors Isao Takahata and Goro Miyazaki are both developing new works for release after Studio Ghibli’s Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea motion picture.

Trouble OVA Announced

Japan’s branch of online retailer Amazon now reports that the 13th collected volume of Saki Hasemi & Kentaro Yabuki’s sci-fi romanctic comedy manga To LOVEru -Trouble- will be available on April 3, 2009 in a limited edition that includes an anime OVA.

The Trouble manga series was adapted into a 26 episode anime television series earlier this year.

First Queen’s Blade Footage Released

Japanese distributor Media Factory has added a 90 second trailer for the Queen’s Blade Volume Zero DVD to YouTube. The “Volume Zero” promotional DVD will be sold at this month’s Comic Market convention for 1,000 yen. The DVD will include a trailer for the upcoming Queen’s Blade TV anime, a “radio program” featuring voice actresses Ayako Kawasumi and Mamiko Noto, and special interviews with the main cast.
