That is absolutely total madness. What the heck is wrong with those idiots to do that in broad daylight and possibly opening Pandora's Box considering the potential social backlash this kind of incident would create?

The only true way to win is not to play. To obey the laws and put criminals way the way it should be done. If retaliatory attacks occur, these two men would have succeed in their task at planting the seeds of destruction. I wish I have enough faith in the entirety of Britain to have no one fall for that trap. EDIT: Heard a statement from one of the men on the radio. The line "your government can't protect you" is definitely a deliberate attempt to encourage revenge lynchings. It is Trolling in Real Life, with real life consequences.

"Trolling in real life" is what I was thinking, too. There's a sacrifice involved with doing it offline but the goal seems to be the same, to incite negativity and disrupt things in general.

The Church of England exists to push progressive worship that the Vatican wouldn't do. It is hard to justify being conservative when Protestantism is meant to be the exact opposite. Once people realised that women can be Bishops and we won't get a rain of toads as punishment, it would make Vatican look silly.

Special Report: Why China's film makers love to hate Japan:
"For Chinese audiences, the extras mown down in a screen war that never ends are a powerful reminder of Japan's brutal 14-year occupation, the climax of more than a century of humiliation at the hands of foreign powers. Japanese foreign-policy scholars say more than 200 anti-Japanese films were made last year. This well-nursed grudge is now a combustible ingredient in the dangerous territorial dispute over a group of rocky islands in the East China Sea, the most serious row between the two Asian powers since Japan's 1945 defeat. It is debatable which side has the better case for ownership of the islands, known as Senkaku in Japan and Diaoyu in China. The United States, Japan's security-treaty partner, refuses to endorse either claim, only insisting the dispute be settled peacefully. But decades of officially sanctioned hatred for Japan in China means Beijing is now caught in a propaganda trap of its own making. It has little room to negotiate or step back now that forces from both sides are circling in a potentially deadly standoff. Nationalism in Japan also makes concessions difficult for Tokyo. But the stakes are potentially higher for China's ruling Communist Party under its new, strongly nationalistic leader Xi Jinping." See: http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/...94O0CJ20130525 |

I have yet to see Japanese anime creators make China look bad in the same way they occasionally made Westerners look bad at times in anime series... unless I missed my share of anime series doing just that (I don't expect there were that many anyway). |
