When i watch Nagi no asukara, it makes me think.
Ok, Tsumugu can like Manaka that is now youger than him and its not weird. (Though he likes Chisaki)
But it feels weird if Chisaki still likes Hikari.

I guess it feels even more so because Chisaki is so voluptuous where as Manaka is so child like and the contrast is so stark.

Well if you go historical/traditional, it's usually an older male pairing with a younger female for providing for a family and security of the female. Adds in the moe quotient of the mate.

Older female and younger male doesn't work out that often in anime. And Chisaki "isn't getting any younger" by anime standards so her fan attractiveness pairing ability won't be very strong if they do another time skip. Male otaku from an article I read a long time ago like 'em young.

I can smell that bittersweet ending coming.so manaka probably knew before that she will not be able love someone after the ofuneki. If the red umbrella in op is related to marriage then my guess would be she might get a real one or a fake one at the end.

That one's nice. Love Miuna's appearance in the second half, though her hairstyle is quite curious.

She should let her hair down. She did it once before at home and it looked great. I'm not surewhat the point of growing your hair out is if you're just going to make it look like you have short hair, but what do I know about hairstyles?

That's exactly my view! Just look at the picture by EroKing where only one half is down, still looks great. I always wonder why somebody would grow long hair just to turn it short anyway.

It's so she can let it down when she's with her (eventual) lover, letting him see a (visual) side of her that no one else sees. Like roleplaying or wearing a costume.

On a serious note though, I assume it's just so they could have her get confused for Manaka that one time (and maybe again in the future), while not making her a carbon copy. I prefer my half-joking reason, though.

That first one is a good one.

On a serious note, perhaps another reason is the producers want to retain a semblance with the first half while not having her hairstyle remain exactly the same. I haven't seen that many anime where characters adopt a different style after timeskips / during flashbacks unless there is a plot reason for doing so.

aside from Hikari in the very first episodes, I never disliked any character
but I did think (and still think) that Nagiasu has a bit too many characters

Kaname is just there to be a fourth wheel
I also thought Miuna and Sayu were redundant during the first half
I think it's paying off mostly in the second half, I can see why they might have annoyed some

You have a perfectly valid reaction. But mine is the opposite.

Hikari has bullied Manaka from the start. He forced her to change her uniform. He ignored her ideas. He even knocked her down once (kneed the back of her knee). He selfishly bossed Manaka around, giving me the impression that he wanted her so he could have someone with him he could boss around and be superior to. This is not unusual in real life. He thought of it as "looking after" her.

We can praise Hikari for his positivity and effectiveness, but I still see him as plunging forward on his own track, without regard for others except where they are part of his desire. At the time of the ofunehiki, Hikari was very effective in pushing the project forward. In fact, however, the results may have been more bad than good. A plus that led to a minus.

The fact that his approach might be commonplace among guys his age doesn't make me like him any better at all. It makes me like "guys his age" less. An accurate presentation of a nasty person may be good art, but I am not talking about art, I am talking about which character I personally like or dislike.

Just to set the record straight: Miuna is one of my favorite characters. Hikari is the opposite.

I'm willing to bet the person Hikari is yelling at in the preview is Tsumugu. Hikari will say something along the lines that Manaka loves him. Tsumugu will reply saying that Manaka doesn't love him. Hikari will get angry and say "You doubt Manaka's feelings?!?"

Why is miuna ?
Because I think ENA that miuna received from manaka Which memories and feelings of love she lost should be ENA her.
I thought miuna should know the Sea slug that Manaka talking about her feelings

I love Miuna as well.

For some reason, I pity Uroko sama, for he's been living for a very long time now, and all he does is to look after those sea people from each passing generations.

He's the scale of the sea god and most probably feels the bitterness of that guy's sad love story. He's the living fragment and embodiment of the sea god's emotion hence; can't he also fall in love? It's not like he can't, or maybe he was hiding something intriguing from the very start like he doesn't want to fall in love on someone cause he might experience the same heartache over and over again as someone like the sea god. Doesn't he treat himself the sea god or the new one? Besides, he's the remaining living evidence of that almighty fishy's existence. Is it one of the reasons why he is so perverted? He's sexually deprived of the need for a woman's love. Just kidding, but what do I know, I may be right.

The stone is probably from the Sea Slug. You also see it in version 1 of OP2 hanging of the Ofunehiki flag.

Seeing this image above I can't help but feel my suspicions are confirmed that Miuna will play a bigger role in solving the issue. (cough taking Manaka's place)

I totally forgot about that sea slug. He also must have a role too. Wait Manaka's necklace...that is familiar o_o somehow, any ideas?
