My purchase of the day. Got it at the sale we have this weekend with the catalogue being a free item when you buy a Gundam-related item. This is my second HGUC Unicorn with head base, btw.
Spoiler for the purchase:
I was supposed to get this on my birthday(which is tomorrow), but I just couldn't wait and let someone else get it.

Either you can mimick that close with like Kyrlon metallic gold paint, or you're gonna have to get the gold chrome, electroplated, and I highly doubt you have an electroplating machine.

I don't have that much money. I don't buy many kits which is why I tend to get lots of kits at once, and then nothing for a while. After this, there aren't any MG's that are coming or out yet. But I'll have to see after the Shizuoka Hobby Show.

its weird because the SD gold marker I used had this same problem, so I did not use it for a year or so, then when I used it on my HG SF it turned out how it was supposed to, gold |

If the part is white, then use the one you got. You might want to shake up the marker like crazy and then try using it a little bit to get the colors and stuff mixed better.
Or you could always try washing the part with dish soap and warm water. It might be the chemicals left on the part during the mold process that might be deterring the color from getting on correctly.

You do realize that this is gonna be monstrously expensive, super tedious to build and it will need a ton of space, right? |
