Well we know where she gets her good looks from .

(Looking at Carla, I'm guessing Excel's big boobs gene's are hereditary ).

I know, and it's also what I said. They've still reduced the general bust-size compared to the manga (and probably also LN).
The only one's whose hasn't been touched (npi) is Roroa's.

Carla is the only one who I think got a slight increase, but that might just the perspective.

E: Something I also wanted to add: The Amidionia tactic was really flawed.
The best way to properly minimize their troops would have been letting Excel's ships bombard their army on the way back.

And don't forget, Souma did previously compliment Liscia when she wore the Academy Uniform and the glasses (Episode 5).

Also, a part that was skipped in the Anime.
During Episode 9, Juna had gone to meet Souma who was working in the Office, and helped him get some sleep as he was too busy with work, because she had heard from Liscia about Souma not getting proper rest.
In actuality, it was Liscia who had asked Juna to go to Souma and help him get some sleep, because she knew that Souma couldn't present his vulnerable side to her, so she had asked Juna to help with that.

Actually, she had cut her hair to showcase her resolve, as well as accept Georg's decision to become the sacrifice.

And another skipped part in the Anime, Liscia for a long time had decided that she would get Souma married to more women along with her, if possible, because she wanted to bound Souma to the Kingdom and make him the only King.
My point was how it is from Liscia's point of view. Her fiance was gushing about another woman wearing an outfit that's remarkably similar to the one she's always wearing around him. The very fact that he'd never even made any note of how she looks in her everyday clothes but got so excited when someone else wore something similar must have stung. At least Souma was smart enough not to try and "fix" things. A lot of anime protagonists would spin around and stammer about how oh, she looks great too, so it's nice to see a guy who recognizes this'd just be digging himself even deeper.

And the only difference is that Juna's hugs tighter to the chest...Souma's a true man of culture .

The huge breasts are a manga thing, in the LN they are similar in size to the anime, maybe even smaller. Girls like Juna and Aisha still have noticeable curves, though.

In defense of Souma, there is the fact that in the beginning he was betrothed to Liscia against her will, complimenting her looks might have been tactless, and after they became close it was probably awkward. Still, better for him to show appreciation for her beauty as soon as he gets the chance.

An awful lot of posts about a trivial comedy scene.

It's likely the scene will never be brought up in the future, Juna is an in-story approved wife candidate anyways.

I didn't mean to say he had done something wrong or anything, just that the way the situation wound up it's understandable that Liscia would be rather hurt. It makes sense that he wouldn't act overly romantic when he barely knew her and intended to step down eventually. Doesn't change how much it'd hurt to hear the one you love gush about a feature on someone else that is a constant aspect of your own character.

The Gran Chaos Empire indirectly got Souma into this, so I guess it's fitting that we return the focus back to them to close this season out. They're basically the bastion and leading kingdom of humanity, lead by an Empress revered as a Saint, and while they are aware enough of the circumstances and that Elfrieden isn't in the wrong...they have to put in the appearance of dealing with it to maintain their authority with the Mankind Declaration, and thus Maria sends her sister Jeanne to approach Souma. What will happen when a kingdom run by a realist interacts with a kingdom run by an idealist ?

Turns out bringing back fun and entertainment to a people that were forced to endure pulling everything into the military is surprisingly effective, even if it leads to more paperwork. At least Liscia is the kind of girl who puts in the work alongside her prospective hubby so Souma's not doing it alone .

You can always count on Poncho to find the kind of food and resources people might overlook or not thing is viable .

Roroa can tell her kingdom is in better spirits after her father was defeated and that it means her older brother has a much harder case for trying to take back control, although after everything Souma's done she's definitely going to make sure he takes responsibility for it. Also, seems she's tired of being single .

Souma, Juna, and Tomoe go out on an incognito excursion to see the sights of Van...and we get Samurai Juna! In a skirt! I love all these Juna outfits and that she's the girl they keep putting in different outfits that she looks amazing in .

Juna is basically Souma's bodyguard, but she's definitely using it as an excuse to get up close and personal for some intimate time with him. They even get mistaken for husband and wife. I feel bad for Liscia (and at least Juna had the decency to make sure he remembered the rest of his budding Harem), but it was pretty cute .

Roroa's shopkeeper guy making sure Souma knows to be careful when a man weighs in on girls shopping. That dress they picked out for Tomoe was super adorable .

Jeanne just strolls in and finally encounters Souma, and she (and her sister, I assume) respect and acknowledge all that he has achieved and that he seems like a good ruler. It's also apparently making the rounds that he's a sucker for a pretty face which Jeanne thinks works in her sisters' favor, and they're not wrong. Even Aisha is blushing at being considered a consort .

Turns out the Gran Chaos Empire only asked for Elfrieden to participate in the hero summoning so they could at least claim they were supporting the Empire without having the actual resources to do so...and they never actually expected it to work, but here we are. So I can understand why they feel obligated to apologize to Souma even if they were just trying to help out Elfrieden in their own way, but through the summoning Souma has found a place and a family he cherishes and revitalized Elfrieden so it ultimately all worked out for the best .

Closing out with Souma and his family of cute and hot girls. He gives Aisha some lipstick as a gift, and poor pouting Liscia gets a necklace befitting a queen .

Well, this time Souma managed to make Liscia happy, so he's making progress. Seeing him and Juna together was also heartwarming.
I hope many anime viewers will join me in shipping for Maria to join the harem.

Feels like if Souma was going to have anyone from the Empire join his Harem it would be Jeanne. They seem to think alike...although both her and her sister seem like great catches .

Yeah, both are beautiful and competent. Whoever married them is going to be happy.

Kind of surprised it’s just ending here. Kind a like f an awkward stopping point. Rather than end it just sort of … stops. Good thing we’re talking about just a few months before it starts back up again.

Yeah, this was a pretty unceremonious ending. Didn't even address the Dukes or Carla at all. I guess it's good that we're getting a second part .

Can't say I cared for the war arc, then the last episode of the season brings back the parts I liked. Everything else in general was ok.

7/10

That sure was a chill way to end the season.

I suppose that since the next season is only a few months away, there is no need to force an exciting ending. And they probably wanted to give Juna and Tomoe some screentime and get the explanation about the hero summoning out of the way.

As an adaptation, I think the anime was decent. The last arc felt a little rushed but at the same time, everything important was shown.

And thank god the anime designed followed light novel designs and not the manga ones.

The one thing I felt the manga did better was Liscia's haircut (although I still think it doesn't really fit her).

So what you're saying is, she's the Saint Empress of Mankind?
