Thanks SweetPrincess! Yes, it's crazy. I'm glad my efforts are acknowledged and it's great that a forum exists on Animesuki for threads like this as I don't have the time and resources to start my own website. Maybe I'll get tired of this in the future (with 820 songs mentioned, how many really great anime songs are now left?) or I might not have the time (my current job is increasingly demanding on my time) but for now I'm still having a blast discovering new anime songs and sharing it with others.

Part 2 (of 2) of my Fall OPs/EDs. The previous week gave us another round of great new shows and theme songs along with it:
Spoiler for FALL ANIME THEME SONGS:
Also, here are the Top 25 Anison Singles for the month of September courtesy of keroro00innovator: Spoiler for video:
offtopic: Who's the most moe anime character of the year? 2ch's 2010 Saimoe Tournament is coming up with the answer. The quarterfinals narrowed the candidates to Azusa Nakano of K-ON!!, Nodoka Haramura and Koromo Amae of Saki and Nagi Sanzenin of Hayate the Combat Butler!! Unfortunately, my preferences (Mio, Nadeko, Shana and Hinagiku) didn't make it. The semifinals will take place on October 13 (Nagi vs. Koromo) and 14 (Nodoka vs. Azusa), Finals will be on the 16th. Azusa seems to be the favorite based on the number of votes. Personally, I prefer an Azusa vs. Nagi final showdown but 2ch voting for most part is so unpredictable that any combo of the 4 (including an all Saki showdown) is probable. Anyway, here are my inductions into the Hall of Fame for Week 84 (The Week ending on October 10, 2010): "STAR RISE" by Rina Satou, Houko Kuwashima,Sachiko Kojima, Ryou Hirohashi & Megumi Toyoguchi BAMBOO BLADE (TV/Ending Theme/2007) suggested by christinemarie Spoiler for video:
"Akai Namida" by Mami Kawada Shakugan no Shana/Burning-Eyed Shana (movie/Insert Song/2007) suggested by Gotank Spoiler for video:
"Logos Naki World" by Yasushi Ishii Hellsing (TV/Opening Theme/2001) suggested by Pheebsy Spoiler for video:
"Mugen" by Nana Mizuki White Album (TV/Opening Theme #2, eps 14-26/2009) Spoiler for video:
"Kimi wa Nanika ga Dekiru" by 99Harmony Captain (TV special/Opening Theme/1980) Spoiler for video:
"Pre-Parade" by Rie Kugimiya, Eri Kitamura, and Yui Horie Toradora!/Tiger x Dragon (TV/Opening Theme #1/2008) Spoiler for video:
"Seikan Hikou" by Ranka Lee [Megumi Nakajima] Macross Frontier (TV/Opening Theme #2, ep 17/2008) Spoiler for video:
"H.T." by Tsuneo Imahori Trigun (TV/Opening Theme/1998) Spoiler for video:

It takes me 2 hours tops to prepare my post. It was tiring at first since I was new in this and I also have to post the lyrics. Now, I have a standard form in which I post and all I need to do is to fill in the blanks (youtube url, song info, etc.) and do a quick net surfing for anime news tidbits. I'm glad you like some of the songs, soon I'll provide a link to my updates for easy access. Also, I notice that this make it a consecutive week in which you replied right away after I posted or is it just coincidence?

Ugh. None of these songs in the last two pages suit my tastes.
I liked: No Thank You HTT K-On!! God Knows Haruhi I like the electric guitar, bass, drums, mature, smooth, and clear vocals basically and also like violin and piano. What else is there that is like those that you can recommend that I may have missed? I don't like Yui's singing voice and don't like any other Haruhi songs... more emphasis on mature voices (fripside, Tommy heavenly6, and Avril Lavingne are close to the lower limit). Not too mature... Hitomi Shimatani with Destiny Taiyou No Hana (Black Jack 21 OP) is close to the upper limit. My fav so far is Kalafina with Sprinter, KnK 5 ED which isn't even anywhere in the Hall of Fame as far as I can tell. Last edited by Varaxis; 2010-10-15 at 01:56. |

I think BUCK-TICK did a good job with Shiki's OP1 and ED2, though they're not really that great for listening alone. Snow White is one of my favorite songs from them, but isn't an anime cover song.
Is Blood+ OP02 anywhere in the Hall of Fame yet? Hyde - Season's Call. One of the few anime tracks I would listen to by itself. Last edited by Varaxis; 2010-10-15 at 22:39. |

It seems that I missed a few Fall Anime Series OPs/EDs, here they are: Spoiler for FALL ANIME THEME SONGS:
News: A Certain Scientific Railgun upcoming OVA's opening theme song "future gazer" by fripSide debuted at #4 on Oricon. All 3 fripSide/Railgun collaboration have made it to the Top 10 ("only my railgun" (#3) and "LEVEL5 -judgelight-" (#4) debuted last year). You can view the group's music video (since the OVA isn't out yet) below: Spoiler for video:
offtopic: Congratulations to Azusa "Azunyan" Nakano of K-ON!! for being voted as the most moe anime character of 2010 by the Saimoe Tournament (Yui will definitely approve of this). Her finals match against Nagi Sanzenin of Hayate was lose until very late in the round. She'll definitely have a hard time retaining her crown next year with the influx of very cute new anime characters such as a "little sister" closet otaku, a squid girl and possibly the girls from Touhou. Anyway, here are my inductions into the Hall of Fame for Week 85 (The Week ending on October 17, 2010): "F.D.D." by Kanako Ito Chaos;HEAd (TV/Opening Theme/2008) suggested by christinemarie Spoiler for video:

I can't believe you didn't added this GTO anime song to your list which I suggested a year ago. Shizuku AMV Full version with subbed and lyrics by Miwako Okuda Spoiler for click to view:
Great Teacher Onizuka 1999 Ending Theme No.2 (starts with second episode of Kanzaki Urumi Arc)

Makenaide by Zard right? Only anime cameo music appearance is only episode 12 of Lucky Star. It deserves to be on the list but for some reason I didn't include it on my suggestions since I didn't watch Lucky Star endings due to some annoying guy that pops out in the ending sequence. Here is the link enjoy ^%61 Makenaide by Zard I supposed the Emirou Katou version is not necessary. |

@christinemarie: Nice song (from GTO ED2 that I regretfully overlooked from your many recommendations), I'll keep tab on that one, most probably I'll include it when this thread goes to the next page.
News: There was another anison Oricon debut last week that's worth noting aside from "future gazer". Aqua Timez' "GRAVITY Ø", the opening theme for STAR DRIVER Kagayaki no Takuto debuted at #5. Here's video: Spoiler for video:
As for this week, Oricon has 4 anison singles occupying the Top 10. The details are provided below: Spoiler for video:
"One Day" by The Rootless/One Piece OP 13/#3 with 26,000 copies sold "Their debut single, the lyrics for this song was rewritten several times to satisfy the members who are big One Piece fans. I say they did an amazing job, the best One Piece opening since the sixth one." Spoiler for videos:
"DOWN TOWN"/Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru OP & "Yasashisa ni Tsutsumareta Nara"/Tamayura OP by Maaya Sakamoto/#5 with 16,000 copies sold "Maaya's 5th Top 10 single. These songs are cover versions of the hits (and personal favorites of hers) performed by SUGAR BABE in 1975 and Yumi Arai in 1974. You can hear the original version of "DOWN TOWN" here. As for "Yasashisa ni Tsutsumareta Nara", you should be familiar of this Hall of Fame inducted song by now, it was used in the ending credits of Kiki's Delivery Service and my personal favorite for a movie song. Maaya is in my personal Top 10 anison artists of all time and bringing something fresh to old tunes further cements her standing." Spoiler for video:
"irony" by ClariS/Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai OP/#7 with 14,000 sold "Debut single by two middle-schoolers, they were previously known as Alice & Clara who found fame in NicoNico Douga video sharing website (which along with Youtube is a godsend for unsigned artists). The song is very catchy and well suited to what I think is the best fall anime series this year." Spoiler for video:
"MOON SIGNAL" by Sphere/Otome Yōkai Zakuro OP/#8 with 13,000 sold "Sang by seiyuus voicing Nagi (Kannagi), Sumika (Sasameki Koto), Yui & Mugi (K-On!). This is their second consecutive top 10 (after the Asobi ni Ikuyo! OP). Nice song, this seiyuu supergroup's songs keeps getting better." Probably a song or two will appear in the year-end top 10 but for now here are my inductions into the Hall of Fame for Week 86, half of which are very old 'cuz lately I've been neglecting the oldies (The Week ending on October 24, 2010): "Sha la la ~Ayakashi NIGHT~" by Saeka Uura Kekkaishi/Barrier Master (TV/Opening Theme/2006) suggested by christinemarie Spoiler for video:
"The fine every day" by Kicco Tayutama -Kiss on my Deity- (TV/Opening Theme/2009) suggested by Lyrhina Spoiler for video:
"Watashi-tachi ni Naritakute" by Miwako Fujitani Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Super S/Sailor Moon SuperS (TV/Ending Theme #1, eps 1-13/1995) suggested by margafred Spoiler for video:
"Golden Time Lover" by Sukima Switch Hagane no Renkinjutsushi - BROTHERHOOD/FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD (TV/Opening Theme #3, eps. 27-38/2009) Spoiler for video:
"Iteza Gogo Kuji Don't be late" by Sheryl Nome starring May’n Macross Frontier (TV/Insert Song/2007) Spoiler for video:
"Yatsura no Ahioto no Ballad" by Tino Hazime Hajime ningen Gyatoruz/First Human Gatorus (TV/Ending Song/1974) Spoiler for video:
"Nee! Moomin" by Toshiko Fujita & Mitsuko Horie Moomin (TV/Opening Theme/1969) Spoiler for video:
"Yukai Tsuukai Kaibutsu-kun" by Masako Nozawa Kaibutsu-kun (TV2/Opening Theme/1980) Spoiler for video:
"Obake no Q-Taro" by Junko Hori & New Royal Shin Obake no Q-Taro/New Q-Taro the Ghost (TV/Opening Theme/1971) Spoiler for video:
"Song of AKUBI MUSUME" by Mitsuko Horie Hakushon Daimaou/ (TV/Opening Theme/1975) Spoiler for video:
one last thing, The World God Only Knows episode 3 made a parody of the Hall of Fame inducted classic "Oshiete" from Heidi. Very nice. You can compare both videos below: Spoiler for videos:
