I don't know if we have actual members in the affected areas. If such members does exist, I doubt they have the current capabilities to connect to the internet since most of the communication facilities are still down and only satellite phones are reliable.

I have bad phone connections from my Father currently in Cebu ( the signal is meh).

The only thing that disappoints me is the massive looting that is currently happening in the area. Maybe it's due to fear of starvation or insanity. Our President was completely disappointed on what has happened after preventive measures and evacuations have been order to the concern municipalities prior to the landfall of the said typhoon. The government seemed to have declared martial law aside from declaring a state of emergency to the affected areas. Additional police and authorities is being sent from nearby provinces to bring back order.

Mostly likely from desperation and starvation. At the degree of the disaster, it's only normal for people to grab anything they can get.

From the coverage I've seen there is little left to steal. Most people seem focused on trying to find potable water and food to eat.

I've been thinking the same thing these past few days. Forgive me for this slight bit of "selfishness" but I hope that they're all ok.

Looks like they'll still go ahead, but some lawmakers are debating on whether it makes sense considering the typhoon.

A Game of Shark And Minnow:

"Ayungin sits at the southwestern edge of an area called Reed Bank, which is
rumored to contain vast reserves of oil and natural gas. And also that it is home to a
World War II-era ship called the Sierra Madre, which the Philippine government ran
aground on the reef in 1999 and has since maintained as a kind of post-apocalyptic
military garrison, the small detachment of Filipino troops stationed there struggling
to survive extreme mental and physical desolation. Of all places, the scorched shell
of the Sierra Madre has become an unlikely battleground in a geopolitical struggle
that will shape the future of the South China Sea and, to some extent, the rest of
the world."

That would be the ex-USS Harnett County (LST-821) (also ex-RVNS My Tho (HQ-800)) which served in Vietnam for several years. First with the Americans, servicing Riverine Forces, and later the South Vietnamese Navy, before heading to the Philippines following the war.

Also was part of the invasion forces at Okinawa during World War II.

Ha, they tried it in Vancouver and Toronto. It doesn't resonate with a North American audience.. The idea of paying for companionship of any kind for most people is somewhat repulsive..

They COULD try it in places like Central Asia where you can have an alternate service to buy brides and take them home.

I went at the Kawaii Café in Paris, not bad, but yeah exactly as Saintess said :
Not loli enough. Also in all honestly, I don't find anything in the french maid costume on caucasian women, not the combo of my dream.

Hmm but tonight there will be pole dance from japanese so maybe ... wait no, i don't have time for this.

You know my tastes dear.

Amsterdam is much more known for the drugs than something else in Europe though, so I don't know what you wanted to imply and I don't really want to use internet to check it and find weird things.

Geez, I hope that lasts AT LEAST a year or so because every story I hear about someone opening a maid cafe in North America ended up being an embarrassing failure and going out of business within 6 months.

So what is the difference between a Maid Cafe and a Gentlemen's club?

Anyway, I think I might stop down there next week, it is 4 blocks from my office.

On other hand, I have an asian girlfriend already, and non of the girls on the picture really pique my interest.
