North America Getting Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- Demo Next Week

Though fans outside of Japan were able to get their hands on Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- demo by setting up a foreign PlayStation Network account, an early LOOK native to North America WILL be available very soon.

According to this week’s INSTALLMENT of PlayStation Blogcast, a demo for the PlayStation 4 version of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- will arrive on the North American PlayStation Network next Tuesday, November 25. Much like the Japanese version, this will only be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Specific details weren’t divulged during the podcast, but one can assume that the North American demo will carry the same limitations as its Japanese counterpart, where only Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske were playable in the arcade (set to beginner) and tutorial modes.

Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is SCHEDULED to release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan on December 4, arriving in North America shortly after on December 16.

Sol : ??? (Honestly, to me it sounds like Kyle Hebert doing an impersonation of Steve Blum; a hilariously bad one.)
Ky : Sam Riegel
Millia : Tara Platt
May : Eden Riegel
Chipp : ???
Faust : Kaiji Tang
Potemkin : Kirk Thornton
Slayer : JB Blanc
Axl : Liam O'Brien
I-no : ???
Venom : ??? (whoever it is, he's awful)
Zato : Matthew Mercer
Bedman : Yuri Lowenthal
Ramlethal : Erin Fitzgerald
Sin : Lucien Dodge

Axl and Slayer were given accents. They also both sound fantastic BTW.

Sad that they did a "Fate/Stay night to Fate/Zero" kind of thing where they recast the characters with some of the old VAs just being reassigned, but I think Liam does a better job being Axl than he ever did as Ky in Overture.

Just the other day, I was thinking Steve Blum would make a good Sol lol.

Sam sounds alright as Ky, I was thinking JYB would make a good Ky.

Sam Riegel sounds closest to Takeshi Kusao than Johnny Young Bosch. I'd say this choice is perfect

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a bad choice. I agree he matches Takeshi's voice and tone well. I just feel that Johnny wouldn't have been a bad choice either. Seeing how they recast voice actors, Yuri would have been a nice choice as well. Just take it as nitpicking

They're all good voice actors anyway. I guess it comes down to preferences. JYB may have done good as Ky but I think his voice fits a different character.

Anyway, what I'm surprised at is Kirk Thornton voicing Potemkin. IMO his voice is very similar to Takehito Koyasu, Zato's voice actor.

Yeah Sol sounds pretty bad. Overall, the english voices aren't bad. Going to stick with the jp voices naturally tho.

I think you're taking this the wrong way.
I'm not sure why you said that as he was only agreeing that Sol's english voice was pretty bad without comparing the other voices.

Elphelt DLC will be free from Dec.16 till Jan.8

Much like Marie and Adachi on P4U2. Btw, this is for the US version of the game. Japanese version comes out in a week, IIRC. NA version comes out the week after
I hope Leo gets the same treatment

Same. Not that interested checking out the dub either. I've long accepted all turn out bad.

Still tho... she was possibly the worst out of the demo's scenes.

There was a site that confirmed Johnny and Dizzy will appear in the story mode. If they will be playable or not, that is the question

But I could see them being playable in the near future. Probably via DLC or GGXrd Ultimate edition yadda yadda

Elphelt English VA is Cassandra Lee Morris. Day 1 patch for the Japanese version also added full English text and voice support. It also added all of Leo's data (yeah, he's not on disc), even though he's not out for 2 weeks.
