But at the same time, this is supposedly a 24 episode show* and we are already at the last boss fight at episode 12. Failing miserably and "dying" might also be an option. *based on the official website listing 6 DVD with 4 episodes each |

Watched episode 11:
My favorite line in this episode is from Ellen saying "sorry for taking up your time" Well, I think Yume is not exactly a bad person.. she did not kill Ellen and Kaoru because of Nene? If this is a game... we would be at the " mid boss" fight... the true final boss is at episode 23 and 24.

perhaps the second half is the aftermath?
redistributing the Noro to shrines, the political difficulties of the disruption of both the Schools and the Sword Administration, and the fact that the new leaders will almost certainly be Kanami and Hitori, both just middle-school-aged girls. |

They need another leader, those six girl certainly will not accept that position, it is like Akane will inherit the position and yeah, it will be disruption, some will still support what Yukari do and left, some stay neutral, some will go against it. Well like i said, after this battle it is potentially that those six girls will facing a new challenge, and it could be more complex, not just fighting like what they used to in the current arc
But well it is still too soon to talk about anything, we need to see the official conclusion

Give me back my tears & emotion damn Studio, the last scene of Hiyori plus the background song seriously made me think she is going to be in time space for a long time. But I give my highest praise to Hiyori prepared to seal Aradama.
I just can’t stress enough how good the last Hiyori scene was, pretty good use of song there. Anyway Kanami’s mother just so op lol, I really enjoyed this episode.

Ep.12
Well, that's quite unexpected conclusion for the first half of the show. So, what should we interpret from the final scenes? Kanami stopped Hiyori from sacrificing herself to send Princess Tagitsu to netherworld. Does this mean Princess Tagitsu is still in the living realm? That blue light that divided into three might be Princess Tagitsu that get purified. But why? that what will happen after this? and Where is Hiyori's mom spirit? Why can't she appear like Kanami's mom NOOOOOOO! Yume is actually dead. I...I still think she will return somehow. I wonder what Suzuka did to her body. ..................................... Next ep. is recap. The second half will officially begin in the week after that.

Its implied that Tagitsuhime set up this elaborate trap to get to Yukari and Minato and Kagari were victims of that incident.
However, Hiyori and Kanami fulfilled what their mothers started. Kanami injures Tagitsuhime allowing Hiyori to banish Tagitsuhime for good this time. Its even implied that Kanami joined Hiyori into the Netherworld together so that Hiyori won't be alone. |

There was a point to the uneventful ending. It's kinda like seeing something happening and assuming that everything is over.
BUT IT ISN'T. Kanami's interception meant that Hiyori hasn't fully sealed Tagitsuhime. The exposition of the inevitable fate of the Elite Guards means that they are ticking time bombs that could become an Aradama dead or alive. There's also the uncertain fates of Mokusa and three of the five schools under the Five Traditions (Minoseki, Heijou, Osafune) and what remains of Renpu and Ayanokouji after the power vacuum caused by the partial sealing of Yukari. Twenty years of noro and/or the essence of Tagitsuhime was scattered across Japan, and the only entity formed to defend the people against Aradama, the Special Sword Administration Bureau, not only lost a leader but will also be exposed in (possibly unlawful) stockpiling of dangerous amounts of noro. In-universe, shit doesn't seem fucked, but if you piece together enough clues about Act 1, you'd find out that things really are fucked.

I think (note, I said think, meaning this is just a guess at present) that the consciousness of Tagitsuhime was banished from the world, but a large portion of its body was left behind when Kanami pulled Hiyori back. Originally that pillar of red light that formed cracks in the sky, when the consciousness of Tagitsuhime was banished its remaining body lost cohesion, and became uncorrupted noro once again, which then scattered across the land. If it is uncorrupted now, that noro may not be an immediate threat, but the large quantities of it make it potentially very dangerious anyway.
