'I'm in love with my grandson and we're having a baby'

When 72-year-old Pearl met her grandson, little did she realise she'd soon be 'pregnant' with his child...

I didn't realise that incest legally speaking goes as far as 2 generations, since it's usually sibling and parental stuff that gets 'glamorised', I wonder where the line is drawn (eg half siblings)
But of course, science explains everything!

Confused, Pearl talked to a friend, who told her about an article she'd read on Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA), which occurs when close relatives meet as adults and are attracted to each other.
So naturally, it's juuust fine...

But yes, this is pretty ugh..., enjoy the read

Gold, pure gold. He stole a foot because he "just wanted it" . I can think of one other person who thinks like that, although not for a foot.

Oh, man. I actually read that whole story. Don't know what to make of it. Very wrong by societal standards but who am I to judge? I guess to each their own.

Apparently, he was a chef and after night of drinking, his "friends" shoved it up there as a prank.

The first casualty of the Great Miley Cyrus Twitter Boycott has been officially recorded.

Making good on her earlier threat to kill and eat her own cat Fuzzy if the Hannah Montana star didn't return to Twitter, a deranged fan claims to have put her pet to rest and dined on her ill-fated feline friend.

In a painfully detailed Internet missive, the demented Cyrus follower lays out how she brought Fuzzy to the vet to be euthanized on Monday (which, perhaps not coincidentally, was Cyrus' 17th birthday), then prepared herself a hearty meal of Fried Cat Strips out of her beloved pet's remains:

Quote:
"I then fried the meat in a pan with olive oil, added some salt and spice flavoring and put it on a plate with some celery and green onions. For a drink I had Mountain Dew."
Personally, we think a nice white wine would have complemented the meal perfectly, but hey—to each their own.
I was just shown this. That is horrid, and puts me off dearly. I would warn people who have weak stomachs not to open the missive.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH
That is funny, but the thing is, wouldn't it be all the better to send them to the army, I'm fairly sure they'd be losing weight real fast after the first year of boot camp *snickers*

* Mum stole 100 cards from bins, mailboxes
* She went on $12,000 shopping spree
* Judge sentences her to 15 months' jail

A MOTHER stole almost 100 credit cards from rubbish bins and mailboxes to go on a $12,000 shopping spree.

Karen Barter, 33, of Sutherland, pleaded guilty to 50 charges of fraud, drug use and identity theft in Sutherland Local Court this week.

The court was told she repeatedly used stolen identification including licences, Medicare cards and bank cards to set up fraudulent credit accounts.

She stole almost 100 credit cards from rubbish bins and mailboxes to purchase $12,869.89 worth of goods.

Magistrate Antony Townsden told the court Ms Barter had a lengthy criminal history.

In November 2008, Ms Barter appeared at Sutherland Local Court faced with eight charges including possession of cannabis, using a key-ring blade and multiple counts of dishonestly obtaining property with stolen credit cards.

She was released on a 12-month good behaviour bond for drug possession, using a weapon and dishonestly obtaining valuables. However, the magistrate Joanne Keo declined to record the remaining five charges of dishonestly obtaining valuables under a Section 10 bond.

Since her last court appearance, Ms Barter has been arrested by police five times.

She pleaded guilty to all 50 charges before the court. Her defence solicitor Alexander Harmstorf told the court that Ms Barter has been battling a drug addiction and suggested that she be admitted to full-time drug rehabilitation instead of receiving a custodial sentence.

Mr Townsden sentenced Ms Barter to 15 months imprisonment.

She will be eligible for parole in December.
Wow, I thought people knew better than to just throw away their credit cards without shredding them. I do think that if anyone could do what she did, they would.

Swiss rankle as scholar hints at Heidi's German origins
Quote:
Maienfeld, Switzerland (Apr 29): The legend of Heidi, the storybook character cherished as a national icon in Switzerland, has been shaken in recent weeks after a German scholar questioned her Swiss origins.

Mr Peter Buettner claimed that the popular 19th-century novel by Swiss children's author Johanna Spyri was at least inspired by an earlier German tale.

His assertion was highlighted in a recent documentary broadcast on Swiss television, rankling the country's Alpine foothills where the fictional blonde, ponytailed young girl is regarded as one of their own.

It has also fuelled traditional German-speaking eastern Swiss animosity towards what they regard as the "arrogance" of their big northern neighbours in Germany.

Mr Buettner, a specialist in German culture and literature, told AFP he came across a largely forgotten short story while conducting research in Frankfurt. Entitled Adelaide, the Girl from the Alpine Peaks (Adelaide, das Maedchen vom Alpengebirge), the tale was written by a German author named Adam von Kamp.

"I immediately noticed the same narrative structure: a little girl brought up by her grandfather, who left her homeland and grew unhappy abroad until she could go home," he explained. The German scholar also points to similarities in the vocabulary and the Swiss heroin's name, Heidi, a diminutive of the German Adelaide.

However, Ms Regine Schnidler, of the Swiss institute for youth and media, told the Swiss newspaper Neue Zuercher Zeitung that all the evidence indicated that Heidi's story was influenced by Spyri's experiences and her own unhappiness in Zurich.

Published in the early 1880s, Heidi — originally in two volumes — is the story of an orphan who lives with her rural grandfather in the pristine Alpine meadows.

She becomes homesick when she is forced to join her aunt in the German city of Frankfurt, where she faces a disciplined education. But the sequel a year later brought a happy ending as Heidi escapes urban life to return to her rural idyll and friends.

The story struck a chord in the late 19th century. Its impact in Switzerland was enormous. Heidi swiftly became an inherent part of Swiss popular culture and lore, to the extent that the frontiers between fiction and reality are today sometimes blurred.

"The story is popular in Switzerland because so many people find it familiar," said Ms Judith Stump, owner of the village shop in Maienfeld,

Perched 100km (62 miles) south-east of Zurich in the midst of rolling green hills with a snow-tipped rugged Alpine backdrop, Maienfeld was the novel's setting and is commonly dubbed "Heididorf" — Heidi's village.

"I didn't say Spyri copied" von Kamp, said Mr Buettner, denying he had accused the 19th-century Swiss author of plagiarism. "But I'm assuming that Spyri knew the work and it helped inspire her."

He insists that he "never wanted to take Heidi away from the Swiss".

How silly, because we all know that Heidi speaks fluent Japanese and the story was made in Japan.

*facepalm* It's by popular media that she's Japanese!

Otherwise, she's Swiss, not German. Or rather closer to Austrian due to the geography of the Alps.

Conversely, Miss Rottenmeier (her guardian) introduced her as "Adelaide" to Clara, further reinforcing that she's from Swiss origin.

Man Marries Cat

Possendorf : A German man has unofficially married his cat after the animal fell ill and vets told him it might not live much longer, Bild newspaper reports. It says Uwe Mitzscherlich, 39, paid an actress 300 euros (£260,$395) to officiate at the ceremony, as marrying an animal is illegal in Germany. Mr Mitzscherlich said he had wanted to tie the knot before his asthmatic cat Cecilia died. The cat and groom have lived together for 10 years.

"Cecilia is such a trusting creature. We cuddle all the time and she has always slept in my bed," Mr Mitzscherlich, a postman from the eastern town of Possendorf, told Bild . Actress Christin-Maria Lohri, who officiated the ceremony, was quoted as saying: "At first I thought it was a joke . But for Mr Mitzscherlich it's a dream come true".
